I'm back, I was told to get the siu mai here from a friend. Well, the verdict is in, yes get the siu mai, even though it was listed as shrimp and pork, yhe shrimp which I'm never crazy about did not overpower the pork and their siu mai is freshly made as well as all their dim sum's. Some dim sum houses order their dim sum and just steam them, not good.Their pan fried noodles are always a good choice. The best thing is they have very very hot Chinese mustard, I think it popped a couple hair follicles out of my head.I'll certainly come back to do dim sum here.

We decided to try Lucky House based on its high Yelp rating, but upon arriving, we discovered that those ratings are actively solicited. The restaurant offers free sodas in exchange for Yelp reviews--but not just any review. They require you to show a five-star rating to receive the free drinks. While incentives for reviews aren't uncommon, this practice feels misleading and artificially inflates their rating. We ordered our usual favorites: Peking duck, crispy noodles, honey walnut shrimp, salt and pepper pork chop, and Mongolian beef. The food was decent but not exceptional--good, but nothing that stood out. What really brought the experience down was the service. The wait was noticeably long, the staff was inattentive, and we had to request water refills multiple times. No one came to check on us after the food arrived.Based on the food alone, this would be a three-star experience, but the poor service and questionable Yelp practices knock it down another notch. While I'm rating it two stars, it's closer to 1.5 stars in reality. We won't be returning.

They treat you differently if you aren't Chinese.. Waited about 20 minutes sitting down before we were even given any menus. No one said a word to us. My brother even had to walk up to the host area to ask for a menu. After ordering and getting our food, no one came back to check on us and everyone avoid eye contact. Have to literally go up to them. Why?....

I'd randomly pass this place living in the South West so I decided to try it. There's not too many dim sum places around my area so this is a plus. We came on a Sunday and it was pretty packed. We didn't have a big party so we got seated pretty fast.Since it was our first time here, we decided to get the go-to common dim sum and that's when we realized our first mistake. The portion of the dim sum is huge! As a warning, be cautious of the size of the dim sum because it'll get you full fast for sure. One dim sum is about the portion of 2 at regular spots. This for sure can be a pro/con depending on how you like your dim sum.If you're not too familiar with ordering dim sum, I'd say to order anything that says dumpling or siu mai and you'll be fine. If you wan't to be more adventurous, I'd suggest Beef Tripe, Deep Fried Taro and Steamed Rice Roll with Shrimp. At any dim sum spot, I'll always suggest to use the soy sauce and vinegar (more vinegar than soy sauce). I'd also say add the chili sauce for an additional depth of flavor.Overall, just remember that the portions are bigger than normal. They usually have your ordered printed out and they cross it as it goes. I'd suggest ordering a few items and noting how many you have left. Then make the assessment after of if you'd want more food or not. Either way, left over Chinese food is always good in my opinion.

Came here due the really high reviews but definitely felt that it didn't live up to the hype. And it made sense after you sit down as there are incentives for a five star Yelp review. The better dishes we had were the salted egg tofu, pan fried seabass, roast duck, and eggplant in claypot. They were good but not necessarily outstanding. The roast pork looked good but it was cold and the bbq pork as well. The beef chow fun was mediocre. The black pepper short rib was ok... The service was very slow. Not sure if I would come back. Maybe I will try the dim sum next time.

Yum! We came here and enjoyed all the dishes we ordered :) The baked bbq pork bun was so tasty. We ordered black bean spare ribs, beef chow fun, deep fried dumplings, turnip cake, and even egg yolk baos. We truly thoroughly enjoyed everything and it all came out hot. I love that this spot has dim sum available all week. We also got this date dessert that had jello consistency and it was a refreshing way to end the meal (pallet cleanser). Service was great and the food came out decently quickly. The egg yolk baos took a while, but they were making them fresh. Great spot!!

It felt a bit cramped inside. It took a really long time to get someone to take our order (you already fill out on paper btw). It took a long time to get our full order (I was also really hungry). The food was not good. The congee had zero flavor. My one year old didn't even like it, and she eats everything. Only good thing I'd say is that you can make reservations through google even for parties over 10.

This was the chosen venue for our yearly Chinese New Year dinner. We were all looking forward to it as there were quite a few good reviews. We made reservations for a group of 12. Was seated right away as soon as several of our party arrived. We ordered right away as we knew it was going to be busy seeing most tables have 10-12 people seated as well. We ordered 2 soups, 2 appetizers, a chicken dish, one beef dish, one fish, one shrimp, a duck and 2 vegetables. The roasted duck came after almost an hour. Then after about 15 minutes, we were served the West Lake minced beef soup. We were getting really hungry by that time so we asked for a pot of rice to eat with the 2 dishes that were served after over an hour. Another bowl of Seafood tofu soup came within minutes of serving the rice. Then the Kung Pao chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp and another pot of rice. They were all tasty mind you but 4 dishes in 1 1/2 hour of wait time? Several other tables were also waiting and like 1-2 dishes were served with about the same wait time as our table. The servers were not even apologizing for the wait. I can see the order tickets on their board which was about a dozen or so and not a single one was pulled out which would probably mean a completed table order? We decided to cancel the rest of our order. We talked to the manager and he was very apologetic. They were not able to handle the volume of customers on CNY was the main problem. Which was sad because from what we were served, they were delicious. It was justtoo long a wait and we got full from the food that we had. Lots of soup and rice plus the 3 dishes. I don't think this will be our venue again although might be good to come back on a regular say not on a busy CNY dinner.

Ambiance: small and cozy dimsum restaurant, with paper ordering system Service: we were given two pots of tea for 7 people (5 adults, 2 kids who don't drink tea) and charged for two pots of warm tea that was of low caliber(no flavor or fragrance of jasmine). I would recommend brewing the tea with a higher temperature.Food: baked bread items were great (the buns were chewy and fluffy), decent proportion of filling. The rice roll texture was nice and thin. However, the Siu mai was a bit sour, the beef balls had no chew, beef porridge had no flavor (very watery). The price for dimsum at this establishment is competitive though.Overall, quality and freshness of dimsum is not the best but fairly priced.
