As we walked through the Forum shops, my partner and I stumbled upon LIK Fine Art Forum and with an interest in art, we had to take some time to appreciate his work. The gallery is set out really comprehensively so admirers such as ourselves can flow through and browse with ease, as it can get a bit busy being located in a prime space. The art itself is displayed in various ways as per the perspective of the artist - some large print, some very small, others in black and white, using one colour palette or pretty much every colour you could think of, so it's always interesting to the eye.LIK also manages to make some of the simplest or assumably most mundane of scenes stunning, as he injects his personality and creativity into each one.We were very curious as we were wandering around, to learn more about the artist and the visions behind his work, however the gallery attendants weren't very 'hands on'. We did find a few paragraphs on the bullet points of the artist's past and how he got to where he is now, but it would have been so interesting to see a small paragraph or snippet for each picture as to how he came across the scene or why it was inspiring to him, rather than just the titles.Either way, there is no denying that LIK has much talent and his skill in photography is a feast for the eyes. Definitely worth some of your time!

I had the pleasure of visiting the Peter Lik Gallery at Caesar's Palace this evening. I've walked past the gallery several times in the past, but never had the occasion to spend time there until tonight...Peter is originally from Australia and moved to the US at an early age. His interest in photography began when he was 8 years old when he started taking photographs with a brownie style camera. In his twenties he toured the US photographing landscapes in all 50 states. He has the distinction of selling the highest priced landscape photograph titled "ghost" for $6.5 million. His prints of various landscapes feature vibrant colors and seemingly simple perspectives that mesmerize. Most of his prints are limited addition and numbered with price points beginning around $4k and going up to... well, $6.5 million. Peter currently lives in Las Vegas. Stop by, you won't be disappointed.

As an amateur photographer who exhibits locally in Austin, I always try to take in galleries while on vacation. I was very excited as I happened upon this gallery while shopping. Of course you are not allowed to take photographs inside which is normal. The space itself is well laid out and each piece's spot was selected with care and lighting needs in mind. I always appreciate the details and care taken in creating an outstanding gallery like this. The photographs are simplistic yet detailed in colors, angles and perspective. The photographs really evoke emotion and I found myself staring at the beach pier picture and for a second I felt like I was actually on the beach and forgot where I was. Even if you do not plan to buy any of the high end prints for sale you should stop in and lose yourself in the talent of this local artist.
