LAVO Italian Restaurant - Las Vegas

We brunched here. Think dayclub entree or F&B table minimum. We got here at 1pm and little did we know it was busy already and all tables sold out. We ordered some crazy punch bowl thing and almost everything on the menu for (4) girls. This was a fun experience where they encourage table dancing. Our girlfriend celebrated her birthday and it was a lot of fun.

We went to lavo last night for my friends birthday dinner. We had a reservation and they didn't seat us until almost an hour after our reservation time. They gave us free drinks while we waited but that was the only positive of the night. I am allergic to garlic and I am gluten free, I asked the server for recommendations and decided on a salad. The server told me she asked the chef twice if the salad dressing did not have garlic and that it did not. She told me the salad was made with romaine lettuce as the menu did not state what kind of lettuce. 20 minutes after we ordered a manager told me the dressing did in fact have garlic and offered a lemon vinaigrette. When our food finally arrived (almost an hour after ordering) my salad had no dressing on it and was not romaine (as you can tell by the picture) which is fine but I mentioned it to the server and she told me it was romaine and I was like no this is spinach and a spring mix and she continued to say no it was romaine and just walked away. I then had to ask a food runner for the dressing as our server never came back to check on us. Which then took another 20 minutes for them to bring. It was a Friday night so I understand it may have been a little busy, but I also have never seen more wait staff in a restaurant before so I'm not sure why there were so many issues. I will definitely not be returning, as the food was not special.

Booked a trip to Vegas from San Diego for my birthday and planned for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Lavo.Food was excellent as always. We ordered the garlic bread with trio dips and Caesar salad to start and was plenty to share for the table. The chicken Parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs were also cooked to perfection. We ordered tiramisu for dessert and I loved the candle they brought out so I could make a birthday wish!We enjoyed our meal and had exceptional service from the Manager, Johnathan who checked in on our table several times and provided a great experience for us all. Thank you for the wonderful birthday dinner and memorable time in Vegas!

The inside was very beautiful and bright. Everyone was very polite and kind. The food was delicious and their crème brûlée cheesecake was amazing! They were very attentive to my party of 4. It was definitely a great 1st experience for brunch and we will definitely be back!

Ok first off, I was a bit worried after reading the newer negative review. I'm so glad I didn't let that stop me from trying LAVO. I thought this place was amazing in every way. To start, the service was spot on. Our drinks were always filled, food came out in a timely manner and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. For water they even offer lemons, cucumber and grapefruit if you like. We were treated like we were the only people there, when in fact it was packed!For the food. I really enjoyed the focaccia and marinara and crudités topped with olive oil. I ordered the penne alla vodka for my main course without the pork. It was probably the best I've had, I loved it. My husband ordered the 14 oz New York strip steak, not one bite left. We also shared an order of truffle fries, which is more like a platter of truffle fries. They had fresh truffle shavings all over and were so tasty. I also liked the vibe and decor inside. It's just a perfect place for a date night or group dinner. It was very upbeat. I want to try the brunch next. Unfortunately we ate too much and couldn't manage dessert. It definitely looked good, next time.

What can I say.. delicious!!!! We had the meatball they are famous for and that could have been a meal. The Caesar salad was a perfect blend of cheese, egg and anchovies in the dressing.. and let's not forget the chicken parm. Hammered thin and tender covered with mozzarella. This was a great dining. You will not be disappointed.!!!!

Foood was amazing! Quality Italian food here at Lavo. The only thing subpar was the service of the bus boys. They were rolling their eyes when we were trying to figure out who ordered what. My son loved the spaghetti with wagu meatballs. The Meatball and garlic bread was amazing great appetizer choice, the Truffle Cavatelli was my my absolute favorite!

An overall nice experience. Beautiful surroundings and nice wine selection. The Verde Salad and the Burrata were delicious and I would order them again. Rather than order the meatball appetizer that other Yelp reviewers rave about, we simply ordered the spaghetti and meatballs (regular spaghetti and also gluten free pasta) as main courses. The meatballs were good, but not as spectacular as I would have expected. The Bucatini Carbonara and the garlic bread did not get rave reviews by the table. The service was good, but trailed off a bit towards the end of the meal. All in all, I did enjoy my experience.

Went here for the Party Brunch that they have on Saturday's for my wife's Birthday and it was LIT! The transformation from an already elite atmosphere while dining to the "nightclub" style environment is unmatched! We already want to go back lol.Had some great assistance with planning and booking. Restaurant beautiful. Hostess very friendly. We had a reservation and seated promptly at opening. Waiter friendly. Service as it became busier was lacking. Also, it appeared everyone that was seated for dinner put in the same area of dining room. It became very noisy. Another table (party of 2) were sat in the middle of three larger parties. They asked to move to a quieter side of the restaurant. Many empty tables on that side of room. Service could have been better. Empty water glasses, had to ask for a knife 3 times for main entree after original removed with appetizer plates. The request for additional bread was delivered after dinner with the check and an apology. Food not outstanding. Overall experience just ok.
