Such a unique event for vegas! Come enjoy and learn about the Celtics. There are sports competitions (like the shotput, etc.), bagpipe competitions, dance performances, activities for kids, Celtic family booths, a few shopping booths, food, and beer/whiskey tasting. There were three different performance areas during my visit in 2023. I highly recommend bringing an umbrella as it does get hot. And bring your own chairs or a blanket if you don't want to sit on the grass as there is not any seating for attendees.

The 15th annual festival is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs, 9200 Tule Springs Road.My bf and I and a couple of friends came here for the first time. This festival has live entertainment, vendors sellings artisan crafts and things, beer tastings, authentic food, clan tracing and heavy athletics, such as hammer throwing and caber tossing etc.We had a good time. The admission for adult is $15. The lines to parking took 30 mins or so. It's a very laid-back festival. You were not allowed to bring in food/water but there was no bag check. You can bring your own chairs - there's no seating, except some picnic tables. It was def. something new to see. It was fun wandering through the vendors to see what they're selling also. If you purchase tickets ahead of time online, then you don't have to wait in line. There's not much for kids to do except sit and watch. I liked their opening ceremony. If you haven't gone, it's fun to do at least once!

Soooo freaking much fun!I've been to quite a lot of Scottish and Ren Fests. This was one of my favs. Not only was it large with tons of things to see and do, but it had a true Scottish vibe, with smiling faces everywhere.Loved the food- not a lot of Scottish food, but there were your meat pies, welsh cakes, giant turkey legs etc, as well as your shaved ice, funnel cakes, philly cheesesteaks, hot dogs, chicken kabobs (HUGE, btw) and lots more. We tried quite a few things and they were all surprisingly good.Parking is free and there is plenty of it. It's not a far walk to the event from the dirt lot parking of the park. There is closer handicap parking of course.Peacocks everywhere! Loved this- my 4 year old was absolutely enamored with the roaming peacocks, and their random calls added such a cool touch to the event.Tons of bagpipes! Am I the only one that can't get enough of this? Their were some seriously talented people here and the pipeband competition is not to be missed! The Highland Games were so much fun to watch. I'm pretty sure some of those ladies could out-do some of those men anyday! The shopping... soooooo much variety! Tons of costumes, souvenirs, etc- I was impressed with the quality and broad choices here. Definitely plan to spend a good amount of time roaming the MANY vendors here. Kids have stuff to do! My son loved the "children's glen." He's 4, and he spent hours playing with the various activities they had set up. The volunteers here were so friendly and patient too. Tips:- Don't forget your sunblock, and either bring a hat or buy a cool new pirate hat from one of the merchants. We had fabulous weather (70's) but I still felt the sun a bit much.- Bring a blanket to sit on, or chairs. There's a great lawn in front of the main stage, with plenty of shade. The grass is a bit cold/damp, so def bring something to lay out before you sit. - Dust your shoes/feet with a bit of baby powder before you walk through the dirt parking lot. I learned this trick years ago at a ren fest- no dirt will stick to you, and the baby powder disappears.
