Few food trucks and the prices of food both being sold and at the trucks were sky high. Cookies at the stand started at $8-9 a cookie. The booths were not worthwhile. Lots of tents were selling nothing worthwhile. I had a quick 20 min trip but that's pushing it.

Walked through this last Wednesday with the hopes of buying fruit. There are multiple stands of people with hustles and hard sells for their non-farm products out of California. There were 2 small fruit and veggie stands and so I purchased a 16 dollar box of strawberries which for the same size could have bought at Costco for less than half. Two days later the strawberries were rotten and full of mold in my fridge. Needless to say I threw out my money which I cannot afford to do these days. I would not recommend this "Farmers" market. Oh yeah I noticed food trucks and unless you are a 20 year old or under with no medical or overweight issues than all the overpriced junk food is terrific.

I solemnly swear to visit the Las Vegas Farmer's Market at Bruce Trent Park every Wednesday (if only to get my Ruse Vegan Kitchen fix). This small farmer's market is open 2-8PM. While visiting in the midst of summer is mind numbingly hot, the market makes the heat (more or less) tolerable because the vendors are all arranged in the shade. Produce wise, there were 2 vendors. The first had maybe 5 tables full of veggies and fruits. The second vendor was smaller and only sold cherries, strawberries and grapes. If you're looking for nuts, there's plenty of that here too. I picked up 2 bags of pistachios, 1 container of spicy corn nuts, and 2 bags of dried fruit for $20.Besides Ruse Vegan Kitchen, there was a Crawfish place where we grabbed some fries ($4) and canned sodas. The Art Coffee Bus was also in attendance along with 2 other food trucks. The Las Vegas Farmer's Market at Bruce Trent Park may not be the biggest market in town, but it's worth a visit if you live nearby.YELP'S 2018 REVIEW CHALLENGE: #18

Meh. I've been there a few times and while I've enjoyed my purchases of some fruits and veggies and hummus, some of the vendors are either aggressive with weird comments (one was, "good morning, princess" close to closing time) (another was, "just here to looky look?) or oblivious to potential customers (meaning, on their phones or just seemingly disinterested.)It is small, I find the prices to be reasonable, and I like the family energy with the youngsters playing in the park. Some of the vendors kind of drag that good feeling down, though.

I have had this location bookmarked for awhile now. Driving back from Summerlin Library I noticed the market was open, so I took that trip. Walking up to the first stand was a group selling items that were hand made by the disabled. I was very impressed with all the creative hand made work that was done. Although I didn't buy from them I will return to do so for the cause. I had my granson with me so I didn't get to check out the jewelry the lady hand makes that was there I will return for this also. Re leaf CBD, hemp, charcoal and other natural products is where I found myself next. The 2 gentlemen running the stand were friendly and outstanding with their knowledge of every product. From them I bought a Tea Tree oil shampoo and charcoal deodorant and natural magnesium deodorant. Detox while you smell good. No toxins being spread to your lympnodes, like traditional deodorant. My granson couldn't resist the fresh corn being cooked in the big cooker. They had a variety of flavors for your corn, Parmesan cheese, Mexican corn spread, chili pepper etc. I can't wait for next week I will be back.

This place is growing and it makes me happy. Having lived my life prior in 2 cities where "farm to table" was easy to do, I love the local Farmer's Markets. This is the closest to me and I'm always happy to drop in.There are definitely more vendors offering food, arts and crafts, candles and local honey (a must for my allergies and just too delicious) Last time I tasted fabulous strawberries, Harvest Breads to die for pumpkin: the aroma fills the air but I bought Ginger Bop cookies (they freeze well :)) My favorite produce stand from CA had the most delicious, fresh and tightly closed artichokes I've seen outside of Victorville "the Artichoke Capitol of the World." Even gave the young man helping me a quick tutorial on stuffing them, Italian style. They were as delicious and fresh as they look in the picture. Went for the "Harvest Bag" which had a cornucopia of fresh goodies in an Eco friendly reusable bag and was filled to the brim with $20+ worth of just picked goodness for only $15. The items are listed in my photo, but it did not capture the purple, red, white and orange carrots and the organic goodness that lasted many meals for myself and friends. Even made baby food "ice cubes" for my GFs little ones, so she can defrost after work and feed that healthy goodness to the bambinis. There were several food trucks, including Rika Arepa which Amanda M tracked down and put the veggie stamp of approval on. Frankly Good Coffee roasts and grinds their own beans to order for java lovers. Also, a street taco stand appears to have a permanent table, there was a Shave Ice truck, hummus stand...as I said, it is growing and this pleases me greatly. More vendors are taking debit/credit cards as well. On this day, I know of three other Yelpers who stopped in and the Market was bustling with folks of all ages sampling and buying. Hope this means there will continue to be support of our much needed Farmers Markets and the growth and options will continue in this upward trajectory. Clean organic eats, FTW!PS: if you want to be a true Localvore: see Events page for Nelson Q.'s UYE this Saturday at Gilcrease Orchard @ 0800, pick your own veggies and fruits grown on their grounds :)) Betting Chef Marc will be sourcing ingredients for the later UYE @ Novecento (and for Parma) @ 11:30 Saturday, too. True farm-to-table eating :)) Yelp 100 Challenge

I stopped buy Kevin's for a fresh fileted, grilled Branzino, with homemade chimichurri and plantain chips, side of half lemon. So fresh and tasty. A $50 meal in restaurants for less than 1/2 $. He has other fresh fish weekly to grill whole or filet; also grills hamburgers. Bruce Trent Park, Wednesdays.

They had a vast amount of fruits and vegetables. They sold cooked food as well. It was a good experience checking out the different tables.
