I have found that the only way I can take kids to watch a movie is at a drive in theater! Because if they become disruptive at least it's contained in the car and not affecting others. We knew we were visiting Las Vegas area for Thanksgiving and given that most things are going to be sold out or expensive, I realized Moana 2 would be out and why not check if there's a drive in theater in the Vegas area. Sure enough this place exists! The price point is VERY affordable for a family to watch one movie! Especially if you have kids under 5 they are free! We have two kids under 5 so we only paid for 2 adults! There are 6 screen areas to watch a movie and at least in the winter time when the sun sets earlier, I really appreciate that there were multiple showtimes available to watch something like Moana 2 that was approximately 100 minutes. Our showing was for 5:30, and we were able to pay in advanced online but there is a processing fee, understandably. Given how affordable the pricing is, I'd still recommend buying online in advanced as it could take longer at the ticket booth to pay. Since our showtime was at 5:30, it was nice that we were able to be done at a decent hour with little kids to head back to our hotel and put them to bed after a fun movie night out. Navigating in and out is pretty easy and you'll definitely find this to be an awesome affordable movie night out for a family or even a date. So glad drive in theaters are still a thing and I would happily be back if I'm in the area and want to see a movie!

Cool place to go and watch films reminds me of being a kid back in the early 80s I remember sitting on the roof of my parents station wagon. Only drawback is The image quality on the screen is not very good. First visit was to see Nosferatu 2024 on Christmas Eve, The image on screen 5 was washed out in a bit blurry the film was so dark I could hardly make it out. Went to a dedicated indoor theater the next day to rewatch the movie and I'm glad I did. I'm going to do that had a hot dog and the smallest popcorn that they offered they both were fantastic.

Going to the drive-in theater was such a fun and unique experience! There's something nostalgic yet exciting about watching a movie under the stars, right from the comfort of your car. You can bring your own snacks, cozy up with blankets, or even set up lawn chairs outside for a perfect view of the big screen. The sound comes through your car speakers, so it feels like your own private screening, and there's a sense of community seeing everyone around you doing the same. Plus, you can enjoy a double feature for the price of one ticket! It's a great way to spend the evening with friends, family, or even for a cozy date night. The atmosphere feels so different from a regular movie theater more relaxed, with the freedom to chat quietly and enjoy the fresh air. Definitely worth trying if you're looking for a fun and memorable movie experience!

This is another family favorite. I used to go to this same place as a kid and now I take my children here. The snacks are good, and reasonable considering, and the area is clean and taken care of. My kids love going here with their friends. Great evening activity, especially when the weather is warm.

I recently visited West Wind Drive-In Theater for the first time, and it was super cool and so much fun! They have a concession building where you can grab snacks and bathrooms on site, which is super convenient. We brought our own radio and watched the movie from the bed of our truck. I was curious about how the sound quality would be, but the radio station worked out perfectly! It was $20.50 for 2 tickets for the laser quality, which we bought online--such a great deal. I can't wait to go back and do it all over again!

I've never been to a drive in movie and it was a first experience. We went to see Moana 2, I like how it's affordable as well as if you have kids are younger and aren't fully ready for the sit in theater this would be for you. You are connected to the radio to hear the movie. The only downside is the restroom is far depending where you are.

I love that there is still a Drive in in Vegas!! It's a fair price, and a fun family night out. Concession stand and bathrooms are about what you'd expect from an old drive in, a bit run down but gets the job done. The only down side is that it is crazy close to an airport so expect helicopters to fly by every some odd minuets, maybe don't pick a movie you expect to hang onto every word. Great for getting the kids out or for a date night.
