Kohi is a gem of a place! With vinyls along its walls, the atmosphere is almost nostalgic. I came here with a friend and I ordered the mazapan latte with was sweet and nutty. The barista walked me through some of the bestsellers and that definitely caught my eye! It was a fun sweet treat while studying! There's ample parking and bright light coming in from the windows of this smaller cafe. There's a decent amount of study space for its size, but I'd recommend coming fully charged since there was only one outlet I could find!!

I've been meaning to try Kohi for awhile!! It's always been on my radar but I never get the chance to, until now!Their black sesame latte is sooo good! 5/5. Not too sweet and a real black sesame taste for black sesame lovers like me.Also tried the pistachio latte and it was nice and rich. I don't remember what espresso they use (Dark Moon?) but it was delicious! I'll be sure to try something new next time, or I'll stick to my new fav black sesame latte lol.The barista was so sweet and I love the ambience of this place! I was kind of under the impression that this would've been a more Japanese/Asian inspired cafe considering the name of the cafe (coffee in Japanese) and the flavors of their most popular drinks, but it seemed very American inspired inside LOL which was kind of confusing, nonetheless it was a great experience!

Not sure what's so Japanese about it, but I'll take good coffee any time.Kohi (the Japanese transliteration of coffee) Coffee and Pastries is a local coffee spot on Decatur near Oakey. I happened to notice that they were practically right across the street from my lunch choice, and I remembered seeing a BOGO offer on Instagram for a specific drink. The drink was a large Brown Sugar Latte ($6.75/16 oz, which is $1 more than the 12 oz), which Kohi calls one of their signatures. You have to order online for a BOGO and you'll get 2 of this specific latte. The taxes & fees section of the receipt for online ordering seemed pretty high though, and I couldn't find an itemized explanation of feeds. Also, the customizations are weird since picking "none" on some of them print out a very vague note on the receipt, which confused the barista on duty. Since I was there in-person already, she was able to clarify that I just wanted the default latte options. As for the drink itself, it was not user-friendly. The brown sugar comes in a syrup that isn't dissolved in the drink to begin with, and it seems to pool at the bottom of the cup after it's left alone. They did provide straws for me, but the sipping part of the lid is misleading at best and useless at worst for this drink. It was pretty good when I was able to get in the right ratio of syrup and coffee through my straw, but that was hit-or-miss at best. The Cold Brew ($5.00/16 oz) was much more of a guaranteed consistent flavor, but it was a bit more complex than at some places. It was more challenging than totally smooth, so I'm thinking that they used a medium roast, while I tend to prefer dark roast in a cold brew. I do appreciate that the cold brew method did take away the usual acidity and bitterness. I believe they use Dark Moon Coffee Roasters, a local purveyor of coffee beans, and that complexity is consistent with what I've tasted at Dark Moon. The walls and the quiet music are full of oldies-and-before kinda tunes and albums. Despite the peaceful atmosphere, it was totally empty in the early afternoon. I guess the geography isn't ideal for college students?Kohi seems like a solid place for coffee, and if I were actually on this side of town more often, I would consider returning. I don't think they do quite enough to be a destination when there are so many local cafes and roasters to choose from, so hopefully they can find success.

A cozy spot with great coffee! The blueberry lavender latte was a fun and unique flavor, almost like a blueberry bagel. While it's tasty, the flavor can become a bit repetitive (not a flaw, just personal preference). Next time, I'll opt for something more straightforward to really enjoy the coffee. The barista was friendly, and our drinks were served quickly!

Kohi is a new café located between Decatur and Sahara. The interior of the café is beautiful! There are plants hanging from the ceiling. A few tables and chairs are available inside the café as well if you wanted to work or have your drink at Kohi!Kohi offers a wide range of drinks, pastries, and sandwiches. Some of the drinks on their menu include the followingLattes (Banana Milk, Caramel Apple Butter, Maple Pumpkin spiced)Hot Drinks such as Cappuccinos, Macchiatos, Americanos, Coffee etc..Teas (Thai Ice Tea, Black Tea, Jasmine Green Tea)Matcha (Ube Matcha, Strawberry Matcha, Blueberry Match)If you're hungry, Kohi does have some baked goods, salads, croissants, and toast. You can get a Strawberry Nutella Toast, Turkey Club, Chicken Salad Croissant, Avocado Toast, and so much more! My husband and I ended up getting a slice of their Red Velvet Cake and a Ube Matcha drink. The Ube Matcha drink was really good, but the red velvet cake was inedible. It was so hard. I'm not sure if the slice was sitting out for too long at their café that their team provided us, but the cake was not moist. It was dry and hard. The prices are pretty inexpensive at Kohi! I'd come back for a tea or latte, but I would pass on getting another pastry or baked item.

Nice, quaint coffee shop! Their menu has some unique lattes and they also serve boba milk tea. I ordered the blueberry vanilla latte, which was delicious. They offer milk alternatives, which is nice. They have a large sitting room to study or hang out with friends. Helpful staff.

KOHI Coffee and Pastries, located on South Decatur/Sahara, is a Las Vegas local spot that piqued my interest after following their social media for a while. I had high hopes for their coffee and specialty lattes, though I must admit, the experience was somewhat underwhelming.First off, the location leaves much to be desired. Situated in a sketchy area, the parking lot itself is far from inviting. It's not a place I'd feel comfortable spending extended periods of time, and my partner, in particular, wouldn't consider it as a casual study spot due to safety concerns.Upon entering, you're greeted by a small coffee shop with a retro and quaint vibe. However, the interior feels like it falls short of modern sophistication, with an odd choice of wall paint and an overabundance of antique frames and retro vinyl records. The intention seems to be a cozy, cottagecore atmosphere, but it doesn't quite land. If you're into that aesthetic, you may appreciate it, but it didn't quite resonate with me.The guest demographic was diverse, with groups ranging from social asians to conservative hispanics, so it's clear KOHI attracts a mix of locals. Still, despite the charm of the patrons, the ambiance wasn't enough to make me feel like I had stumbled upon something special. As for the drinks, I ordered the Iced Ube Latte, and my partner opted for the Mazapan Latte (hot). Unfortunately, there was a mix-up, and I received the wrong drink at first--a Mazapan Latte, which they graciously offered me for free while they corrected my order. That said, the barista seemed a bit out of it, perhaps a result of a long morning, which is understandable, but it did affect the overall experience. When I finally received my iced Ube Latte, I was disappointed. It was watered down and lacked the rich ube crema consistency I had hoped for--something I've experienced at places like Boba Society and various spots in Seattle and Los Angeles. It was easy to finish, but it didn't have the depth of flavor or texture I was expecting based on their social media posts. My partner's Mazapan Latte was fine, but not remarkable enough for him to comment on.While the baristas were pleasant and the service was generally friendly, I don't foresee myself returning. The vibe wasn't quite my style, and the drinks didn't measure up to the quality I've come to expect from similar establishments. KOHI may be a hit for some, but for me, it wasn't quite the experience I was hoping for.

I want to love this place. The cafe is nuzzled on Decatur and Sahara. The shop itself is sooo cute! The decor is quirky and eccentric. The staff is kind and efficient. I ordered a dark mocha latte and I would have ordered more but the smell of the cafe is just plain bad. I wanted to walk right out but I just wanted to get a quick drink. Unfortunately, the smell was too strong so instead of ordering 3 drinks I only ordered one. I couldn't get out of there faster. Fingers crossed they get the smell fixed. I believe it's broken pipes or something related to the wastewater system.

Eclectic little coffee shop tucked away in a humble corner found on Decatur Blvd. The space is cozy and the decor is splashed with tropical-retro accents. Feels pleasantly nostalgic. They have a fair tea and coffee selection. No complaints here so long as they deliver a good beverage & general experience. Verdict? It was okay. Ordered the lavender matcha, ube latte, chocolate croissant, almond croissant, & jalapeño turkey swiss croissant. Everything tasted well & fine. Portions could be better all around. Overall, I do like Kohi Coffee Shop and encourage others to keep patronizing if they like it as well.
