Went here to meet up with friends and had an overall enjoyable experience. The restaurant was extremely busy, likely due to a football game happening, so there was a long wait to be seated--understandable for such a bustling atmosphere. Despite the crowd, the noise level was lively yet not overwhelming, allowing us to enjoy our conversation. We ordered pizza, which was delicious, and I also had a Cosmo. The drink was made well, with just the right balance of flavors. The service was efficient given how busy it was, and the staff remained friendly and attentive. This is a great spot for gathering with friends, especially if you're looking for good food and drinks in a vibrant setting!

Rather disappointing!Okay so we waited for them to get the "We just opened jitters" solved but that didn't matter! Drinks are respectable pours and Happy Hour prices are great! Our server Gabriel was A#1.He was attentive and concerned. He and other staff were moving around working like a team! The courses do come out in a timely matter. Everything was served hot! We started with the Whipped Ricotta Dip and it was "Banging!"Definitely recommend this dish. Then we stepped out of the box from our usual JM's order of Wings and Pizza. I ordered the Rotisserie Chicken. My wife chose the Sourdough Club melt which looked really good. There was almost no flavor to it! Sadly because it was meaty and grilled well but was tasteless, the tots were good. The Chicken which would be hard to believe that it was actually cooked on any rotisserie has a nice flavor and had very crispy skin was under cooked. Normally a rotisserie cooked chicken is tender enough the bones almost fall out, nope! Also the breast was dry and chewy like wood! I noticed No One was ordering Pizza which is a staple at the other location! I was told it's done differently here, more of a focaccia dough. Why? Also apparently other items are a bit different due to space and or equipment in the kitchen....Look Johnny Mac's is a Local Favorite and the Food is Awesome! Why would you change things? Why don't you commissary items from the main location to keep quality up? Water Street District needs a hoppin spot like this so I hope they work out these downfalls. The server was genuinely interested in our opinion so I gave it and he stood there and took the feedback and I hope it goes up the chain.

Food was good but service is lacking. We waited 25 minutes before anyone came over to us the people who were sitting across from us got our bill and we hadn't even received our food or a drink yet. It's new so I hope they hire more people. I am here now and have had one beer no water was served and now I'm waiting for my bill. I will try it again in the future but they need more peopleWorking.

I've never found Johnny Mac's to be the best bar food in town but it is certainly the most quintessential and homegrown. Their food is always solid and just different enough from the competition that it keeps people coming there. Their second location is located in a prime spot on Water Street, in the old Backyard space. The inside looks nearly identical to the Backyard but with the stage moved over about 20 feet and extra tables thrown down. Yes, you read that correctly, they kept the stage. I imagine it would get REAL loud in there with live music. It's not the prettiest looking bar and grill but neither is their original location. Now, on to the food. You really only go to Johnny Mac's for pizza and chicken fingers, at least those are the only foods I have ever gotten from there (maybe I need to expand my horizons). I got the chicken strips and fries with hot sauce and ranch. The sauce was just on the verge of being too spicy but their delicious ranch certainly helped cool it down. This was a very filling meal, more filling than I certainly expected. One complaint I have is that the prices seem to be a bit inflated from what I remember but I'm sure they've had to go up in the last two years since I've been. Either way, a majority of their items seemed a bit overpriced. I don't know what people are talking about when they say the menu is different and you can't get full pizzas. I'm no Jonny Mac's menu expert but they seemed really similar to me and I feel like I saw a pizza section. Looking at their menu online though, it seems like they do only serve focaccia flatbreads instead of pizza. I would imagine it's because they don't have the room for a giant pizza oven. Either way, the chicken fingers and fries were great.

After constantly being told about the chicken wing craze, I had to check it out myself. This bar is just off of Water Street in Henderson and the perfect spot for game day. Wings were the main reason, but did try some other options. Now the wings come in lbs, so we opted for the smallest one to try the flavor combos. I tried a medium buffalo bake with hot honey finish. This was a fiery choice and it packed heat. I loved the flavor but was sad that the chicken wasn't as moist as I wanted. It didn't fall off the bone and it was hard for a clean sweep. The fries are crinkle cut, which are my least favorite. The truffle was an aioli and unfortunately missed the mark for me. However service was good and attentive, just wish I didn't overhype the wings as I did. Overall great game day atmosphere

What can anybody say about Johnny freaking Mac's ?! It's absolutely the place to be . Good vibes, good service, good food/drinks, AND live music !There's no better place to go and enjoy their amazing focaccia flat breads, original chicken wings, or buffalo mozzarella sticks. If you're wondering if you should try it out, here is your neon sign screaming YES !

Came to check out the new location. I came here expecting the same menu and food as the original location but this quite different. When we got seated the server didn't greet us with food menus and waters took too long to get to the table. Once the food came out: I ordered a Pepperoni pizza expecting a round pizza got served a flatbread which was mediocre. We ordered pizza with hot honey on the side when it came out it had hot honey on top. Wings are the same here. I asked for extra ranch didn't come out, kindly reminded the server again and she call my table "ranch feins." A unnecessary comment. While eating You can literally hear the server across the room gossiping to the kitchen instead of attending to tables. I understand she is the only server but there is really only 4 tables here. I'm truly upset about the overall service. I hope to give this place another try once they're fully up and running.

On a busy NFL Playoff day, they were well staffed and everyone has a great attitude and sense of urgency. This was reflected well in how quickly we were seated, and they were attentive t. Tables, quickly running food and drinks. Loved our server who as super knowledgeable about the menu. We had their wings w medium sauce, I'll order Hot next time! But still they were crispy and juicy and delicious. Had the sausage pizza, delicious but the sausage looks like pepperoni, wish it was crumbles, also middle of pizza soggy compared to outside crust. Love the focaccia crust though. We also had the Roast Beef on Weck, the aujus was amazing. Menu has great variety and ambiance was fitting for a sports bar. Will be back

They've been open less than a week so we'll revisit when they work out the kinks. We love the original Johnny Mac's on Boulder Highway so we had to check out the new location. It's a Buffalo sports bar with Buffalo food (pizza, wings, beef on weck). The new spot doesn't have the Buffalo pizza (the kitchen wasn't big enough for a full size pizza oven).Upon arriving we were promptly sat and greeted by our waitress. We ordered the pepperoni focaccia flatbread. The pizza definitely isn't the same but it's a good product; the dough was cooked well and crispy and they use the good cup & char pepperoni. They have a stage for live music and lots of big televisions for all the sporting events. Bar top also has video poker for your gambling itch.A good visit and we'll be back to try more food.

Every bit as good as the original location! Aurora was our server - excellent service with a smile. All of the food was delicious and the portions were generous. Great bar atmosphere with plenty of TV"s. The restaurant opens out right onto Water Street. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. It's very spacious and open. Give this restaurant a try! I think you'll really enjoy it.
