Another fantastic dinner at one of our favorite spots--Andiamo! This place never disappoints, and this visit was no exception. What made it even more special? Being served by Bill, one of our favorite people! He was there when we celebrated our 50th birthday ten years ago, took care of us again last year, and now--here we are, reunited once more. It's always a treat to see familiar faces who make dining out feel like coming home.Bill went above and beyond, surprising us with a complimentary pasta starter to kick off the meal. He was also kind enough to split our shrimp pasta, which was absolutely bursting with flavor, so we could save room for a rich, creamy risotto with asparagus. And just when we thought we were done, he topped off the evening with complimentary desserts for us to share--pure indulgence!Oh, and let's not forget the generous pour of Buffalo Trace whiskey--that second round was basically a double!Incredible food, amazing service, and a perfect night all around. Already looking forward to our next visit!

A stellar dining experience. Sicilian tapenade: 10/10. I had a moment when I first tasted this. What was supposed to be a simple condiment for the fresh bread, turned out to be complex and exciting.BBQ shrimp: 10/10. Definitely not barbecued, but absolutely delicious. The sauce is outstanding and goes well with the fresh bread. The shrimp were large and juicy.Calamari Fritti: 9/10. Standard quality, but I prefer my squid to be crispier.Veal Osso Buco: 10/10. First of all, I had another moment when I tasted the polenta. The best polenta I've had at a restaurant in America. Light, fluffy, packed with flavor - subliminal. I was not expecting it to upstage the veal which, in and of itself, was delicious.

Amongst my favorite steak houses in Vegas. It's a cozy restaurant located on the second floor of the D hotel and it boasts a very Classic Las Vegas decor. The ambiance is 'classic steak house 'with the waiters wearing traditional white jackets and the maître d' leading you to your table adding a level of elegance to the experience. Our appetizer was the Portabello Mushrooms with the Beef Tenderloin Tips - delicious! Beef was tender and the mushrooms paired well with the meat. Portion size was big enough for 2 and a nice entry to the rest of the meal.We followed up with the Caesar Salad - not only was it delicious but I loved the plating. It's very reminiscent of the salad you'd get at Caesar Cardini's Hotel Caesar in Tijuana, MX - birth place of the Caesar Salad. The Shrimp Scampi's noodles were buttery and cooked perfectly. I ordered my Rib Eye Oscar Style: adding Béarnaise sauce, lobster and asparagus to it. We were stuffed! But of course we made some room for dessert and so we ordered cheesecake to go! We come here for special occasions but honestly - we should start coming just because, because the food and experience are amongst the best in Las Vegas.

The phrase "Eat at Joe's" came to mind. Let's add a "maybe" to it.Joe Vicari's Andiamo Steakhouse is the steakhouse of the D, one of the newer casinos on Fremont Street in Las Vegas. I joined some friends for dinner there tonight, after they made a reservation just last night. I decided to park at the nearby Neonopolis parking garage ($9 all night), so I had a short walk to the D from there. Once inside, the restaurant was easy to locate; just hang a quick right at the top of the only escalator. We went family style so that we could each get a variety of flavors. The complimentary bread basket came with a more baguette-like soft bread and some thinly sliced crispy bread with parmesan melted on it. Both worked with the addictive "bread spread" which had caponata, tomato, capers, and probably some other ingredients I forgot. A surprise pasta app came on the house: simply, capellini with vodka sauce. I must've been hungry because I made quick work of the soft pasta with a tasty, creamy sauce. Our actual orders were more of a mixed bag.The Gnocchi Gorgonzola Con Punti ($46.00) was the actual best bite of the meal. The gnocchi was pillowy soft, the beef tenderloin tips were super tender, and the gorgonzola cream sauce plus the chianti reduction added tons of flavor. It didn't even end up tasting overly blue cheesy, just rich and savory. The Tortellacci Giuseppe ($38.00) are my nod for second. The medley of veggies and onions did a lot of work, while the sausage and the tortellacci (basically oversized tortellini) were fine but not exceptional.Sadly, the Prime Porterhouse ($73.00) was not the best dish on the table. We ordered it medium to err on the side of caution since my companions can't handle underdone medium-rare, but it ended up over if anything, ranging from medium to medium-well. I wasn't loving the dry parts of the steak on their own. The complimentary zip sauce, a Detroit concoction based around butter and soy sauce, was sorely needed to boost the beef.Salmon ($44.00) was a bit of our afterthought on our order, but it sadly felt like an afterthought conceptually. The salmon was cooked nicely but wasn't seasoned quite enough, and neither the beans nor the sauce on the plate added enough flavor to cover for that issue.Tobin James Cellars 'Ballistic,' the only Zinfandel available by the glass ($16.00), was a solid pairing with almost everything I tried it with, from app to entree (note: salmon was not explored as a pairing). It's very approachable and balanced.Service was solid. The professionalism and attention to detail definitely made Paul a waiter and not a mere server. He kept both water and Diet Coke ($3.49) glasses full, he helped plate some of our shared entrees and packed our leftovers to-go, and he was generally easygoing. Atmosphere was neither too dim nor too loud, and decor read like archetypal old school steakhouse.Andiamo was a good but not spectacular dinner. A great restaurant should execute pretty much everything strongly. If I'm to return here, I'll have to be sure to order a medium-rare steak and choose my dishes carefully.

We finally tried this place on an absolute whim. We tried to get reservations a couple of weeks ago but they were booked and this past weekend we stopped in since we were downtown and guess what? They sat us right away on a Saturday evening! Our server, John, was fantastic and helpful with the menu options, drinks and gave us great service! The place is very intimate and old Italian inside. We had a booth on the side wall which was wonderfully intimate. When we sat down the waiter brought us fresh bread with an eggplant tapenade which was so good! For dinner we began with bbq shrimp which was beautifully served and had a sauce to die for! I used the bread to eat more of the sauce it was so good! As an entree I had the gnocchi with beef medallions and my husband enjoyed the pork chop. My dish was freshly done gnocchi with a Gorgonzola sauce. The beef medallions were good but not great. Some pieces were not cooked perfectly whereas others were. The pork chop was humongous!!! He said it was delicious. I did try the faro and sage sauce he had and it was great! Lastly we shared a tiramisu! It was so soft, perfectly soaked and sooooo good! We are so glad we stopped in! Everything was perfect!

This was my second time here and it did not disappoint! Everything here is amazing. I am honestly obsessed with their chopped salad and filet, I crave it. Service is great, drink selection is good, ambiance is 10/10. If you are looking to splurge a little bit on a meal, Andiamos is definitely worth checking out!

Frequently dine here while staying downtown and has yet to disappoint. Service always solid and servers make good recommendations. Love the vibe but would suggest when reserving a table or booth make it towards the back of the restaurant as there are slots close to the entrance with plenty of distractions and noise.Food is delicious and plenty of options. Extensive wine list and the desert tray is wonderful.Last few times I've had the Gnocchi Gorgonzola Con Punti. Delicious and portion size is plenty. Oysters on the Half Shell are a great way to start your meal.

We were recommended this place from a few friends, this is supposedly the sister restaurant of Barry's steakhouse. I was looking forward to this restaurant and I had extremely high hopes for it! We were greeted and sat immediately in an intimate booth, when making the reservation I made sure to add we wanted a booth and that it was our anniversary- which they did both! Our server was awesome and we actually knew him from the past so that was great. He brought out fresh bread an eggplant spread. I ordered a French martini but it was extremely sweet and I think they were missing an ingredient. We opted for calamari for the appetizers, but I feel like it was lacking something to it. We also ordered two 12oz filets, mine was overcooked but once in the middle it finally was tender. It did need salt and more flavor. For sides we got the whipped truffle potatoes, broccolini and sausage and meatball. The whipped truffle potatoes flavors were 10/10 but the consistency was not "whipped". The broccolini had no flavor and was soggy. The sausage and meatballs weren't my favorite but my husband did enjoy them. We also got a small side of pasta but it too lacked flavor but the fresh parmigiana helped with that. For dessert we got the creme brûlée and I wasn't a fan - it tasted more citrus than anything. The company was good but I wish the food was better.
