Came here for a work dinner. There were reservations made, but had to wait an extra 30 minutes. The dining area is a little dark, but beautiful decors on the wall, metal artwork and ambiance. It was so dim, we had to use the flashlight on our phone to see the menu.We ordered drinks. I had the pineapple margarita. It was delicious and refreshing to go along with the chips and salsa.Several orders of appetizers were passed around the table. We had shrimp empanadas, flautas, guacamole, ceviche, tacos and sopas. Each item was delicious and actually I was starting to get full from it.The place is a bit loud to where our waiter had a difficult time hearing our order. I ordered the mole poblano with flour tortillas. The mole was delicious and had a good amount of chicken. The tortillas came as we were about to finish our meal.Unfortunately, due to the difficulty in hearing our orders, a couple of the orders were wrong. However, the food was great.I understand the delay in getting us seated as there was a large convention taking place in Vegas and it was very crowded.I would go back when it isn't as crowded to enjoy more of the ambiance. Everyone from my work enjoyed spending time with each other while being there.

Javier's is proof that Mexican food can be elevated into somewhat of a fancy cuisine. The restaurant is within the casino of Aria, so there's quite a bit of hustle and bustle leading in and not much of a difference once seated because there's no walls to dampen the sound. Talk about open concept lol The menu is interesting as it centers around all sorts of enchiladas, with a hyper focus on seafood. We started with Ceviche and Aguachile. Both were on point and rather filling. I opted for an Ala carte order of chile relleno with a side of rice and beans. All were very good. Service was great- no complaints at all.

I've previously liked Javier's for elevated Mexican food, despite their loud music and inconsistent service. Reservations are almost a must as they do get busy. Food is sometimes too salty for my taste. My family has been dining here since their opening and our last experience was so poor we won't be returning anymore. Our waiter's communication was less than ideal - my drink order was incorrect and we were charged $20 for a little bit of guacamole in a to-go container. I understand avocadoes are rising in price but we've never received this charge before. The largest issue came with the bill. For the first time ever on the strip, they added tax to our comp slip. We spoke with our host about this and she confirmed that tax is removed with a comp. Again, we've dined here many times and our host as well, with us and with other clients. However, the manager and our waiter were firm that this was not an error and that tax is always included. Particularly, the manager was rude and condescending towards me. Our host resolved the issue but I'm very disappointed with how the restaurant staff handled this matter and the way they speak to customers. There are plenty of great restaurants inside Aria and across the strip. It doesn't have to be fancy, but I do expect to be spoken in a respectful manner. This is not worth it.

If I'm being honest the salsa here is chefs kiss ! The presentation is nice with the food !! Looks delicious ! My friend got the bbq taco and enchilada plate . My other friend got fajitas . She did say the fajitas were a bit greasy but she did eat the majority of it . I got the chopped salad with shrimp ! I like my shrimp very well done and even after sending them back they weee just ok needed some lemon easy fix .. and I do believe I prefer blackened the salad is in a champagne vinaigrette which is fine !! It's fine here nice , pretty I would rate it 7 out of ten.

I don't mind paying a premium for great food, but Javier's in Las Vegas is all smoke and mirrors. The ambiance is nice, sure, but that doesn't justify the ridiculous prices--especially for tacos that are no better than what you'd get from a solid street vendor (at a fraction of the cost). You're basically paying for the vibe and not the quality. Service was fine, but nothing to rave about. If you're into paying luxury prices for average food just because it looks fancy, go for it. Otherwise, save your money and hit a real taqueria.

This place is in Aria, so it is very expensive for the Mexican food. We ordered the guacamole and some taquitos. The service was great as they kept coming over and asking us if we wanted more $20 drinks, which we did. The ambiance was fine, loud, TVs, and great company.

Javier is located at the Aria. Upscale &Beautiful! Mexican decor restaurant. It's really dark, but it's part of their ambience. Service was attentive & nice. Food & drinks 5/5:-Get the margarita, it's so delicious. I believe they make their own tequila brand. I got the Guyaba ($23), it has guava. Yummy :)-Mole ($40): chicken with this sauce that sweet & savory. Very delicious -Short rib ($40-50ish): delicious short rib with sauce-Churros: to die for. Great dessert to end the night!

Javier's is a restaurant that you need to mentally prepare for prior to dining. Let me explain what I mean by that. You know that it's technically an "upscale" restaurant so you mentally set up a certain level of expectation but you've also tuned into people's comments saying that it's "overrated" or "overpriced" so then you lower your expectations of your expectation... does that make sense? With that being said - my husband and I thought it was bomb regardless of all the chatter surrounding the restaurant. He and a friend had a few margaritas and I had a guava mocktail. My husband and I both ordered the same dish: carne tampiqueña (usually we don't because we want to try different things and share but the dish we both picked sounded too good not to order on our own) and we were both delighted by how yummy everything was. Also the chopped salad was one of the best salads I've ordered at a restaurant.Excited to add this restaurant to our must go to in the future. We overdid our Carbone trips in the past so we're so happy to swap Carbone out for Javier's as our "treat yoself" meal!

Incredible. Service, food, atmosphere, and cocktails!! We were in town at the Aria for one night and I knew I had to make reservations for us after my husband raved about the La Jolla, CA location. I was concerned at the volume of music in the place and asked for a quieter spot. The booths in the alcoves along the walls are perfect. The structure mutes the music to a tolerable range so we could talk. I had the seared flank steak, and a spicy margarita. I would skip it ask for something else in place of the fried potatoes. They were boring. Also ordered the guacamole to share as we were all starving. It's a trap though. I could barely eat my steak I was so full from the guacamole and chips. Everyone was very happy with their entrees. We will visit again next time we are in town if we cannot find another spot to agree on, for sure. Mexican is always choice.
