jacob & jordan: Pure Imagination

We got tickets when this new show was announced.The venue is cozy and small.There's a small cocktail menu specific for this show which is great, I had the "pure imagination" which was like sweet strawberry lemonade.Now the show.... if you like romantic, classic jazz and seasonal Christmas music: this is for you.However, how can you have a residency and not be at your own show!? The only explanation would be an emergency which even none of our business should be explained as a courtesy. It was not.Second the show is advertised as musical and comedy bliss. There is no comedy. This is nothing but song after song that just makes you long for your bed.Me and my 3 guests left after the torture of not bad music but overall just an extremely boring show.Might be someone's cup of tea, it just wasn't ours even we did not know what to really expect, even with an open mind it was just nothing I'd ever go to again.

We attended this show billed as including a variety of classic songs that have been re-imagined by the 2 stars. Unfortunately it was the audience this evening who were required to do the re-imagining because Jordan von Haslow, one of the 2 stars, was a no show with no explanation provided. Jacob carried on alone, though there was an opening act, but I am sure the show would have been considerably better had both performed. Since this was designated a preview show in which we had scored free tickets, no request for refunds were made. LOL

This is a fabulous cabaret style show done by two youthful and talented performers who have a wonderful chemistry with each other reminiscent to me of a young Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme (although they're both male and not married to each other). Their performances of mostly 20th century popular standards were brilliant and moving. They both have tremendous voices but also are able to convey emotion convincingly and they also have excellent diction--you understand every word they are singing. The setting is intimate and they are accompanied by a top-notch band. Although they mostly performed songs written by others, the highlight for me was a song titled "So Long As Your Mine" that Jacob Khalil wrote and Jordan von Kaslow sang. It was a song with fabulous lyrics, a gorgeous melody and splendidly performed. The opening singer was excellent as well and has a bright future. Unfortunately I don't recall his name, but his performance of Billy Joel's "Piano Man" was especially well done.I highly recommend seeing Jacob and Jordan Pure Imagination. If you're a fan of talent and enjoy the genre now frequently referred to as "the Great American Songbook", you will likely love this show!

I saw "Pure Imagination" with some friends two weekends ago and we LOVED it! Jacob and Jordan blew me away with their vocals. The band was also incredible. They performed fun, innovative arrangements of classic jazz standards and musical theater songs. My favorite songs were definitely Jacob's originals, "Flame" and "So Long As You're Mine." They were absolutely stunning. The show was funny, cute, and heartfelt. If you're looking for high quality entertainment, you MUST see Jacob & Jordan: Pure Imagination!!

I can honestly say I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this performance. Jacob and Jordan's incredible musical act was full of incredible American Songbook classics and jazz favorites, and was tempered with a hilarious comedic touch. The duo compliment each other well and fill up the room with their effortless, outstanding voices. Pure Imagination was beautiful. You will not regret spending your night with these men.

The calm, serene Tuscany suites is the setting for this lovely this lovely little getaway from the Strip. Jacob and Jordan are a wonderful match - playing off of one another like true friends. Their vocals are clear and strong and their song selections are a perfect fit for the venue and the mood of the Tuscany. It's a great, classic Vegas show that must be included in a perfect Vacation or night out! I hope they are there when I go back to Vegas because I would LOVE to see this again.
