I live in Cleveland, Ohio so it's possibly different here but I also spoke to Mike who was aggressive and made me leary. He wanted me to prepay, which I won't do before I am IN the door. I don't mind paying at the time of service, but not just TO make an appointment. Nope. That wasn't listed on their website. The whole thing felt scammy. I checked them out on the better business bureau site, and they've had several complaints for ordering unnecessary lab work and not processing refunds to patients. Again, I cancelled and I was never seen there but the whole process just seemed wrong. I think if you prepay for an appointment and it doesn't happen you kind of deserve what you get. Be careful peeps!

Rapidly losing patience with this company.I made an appointment a month ago on 9/2/19 to get my renewal rolling before its expiration on 10/15/19. I have had to contact them every time for updates, I have never received any updates without me having to initiate contact with them first. I have 15 days until my card expires. I have absolutely no clue if they are even capable of helping me resolve my issue at this point before my card expires. I would also point out that they are constantly 30 to 90 min behind with their appointments. Do not expect to be in and out efficiently.After I finish posting this review I will be contacting another Dr office recommend by my friend who also has his card. 100% go somewhere else if you can!

Can't give less than 1 star too bad. Go anywhere but here if you can. Your current card will expire. You will not get any test results. Your file is a new file with every appointment and you will NOT get ANY paperwork when promised. You will be left in pain waiting. Phone calls are not returned in a timely manner and you will be in pain. Called again today and still no paperwork now almost a week past when I was told I would have it. As if pain weren't frustrating enough this place adds all this. 5 phone calls and a week past when I should have had the certification and nada! Well you do in fact get what you pay for. So another phone call today. I was supposed to have certification on the 11th. This is the 17th and now they tell me I'll get it the 20th. Wonderful. It's not like I'm in pain or anything. It's not like they don't know my card expired on the 10th. Oh well guess this is what happens when one cannot pay $300 to go to a same day certification dr. And apparently bad yelp ratings don't matter either because I told them that too! Maybe they just don't care and are only in it for the money like everyone else in the world!!!

I did not have a great experience working with Hytek Ii would of gave no stars if that as an option. It seemed great at first pay one fee we set it all up you get your card plus pay $50 to the state of PA and you are done. Nope that is not how this works. First appointment was doc in box set up Hipaa violations all over the place. Its clear Hytek does not hire people who have medical background knowledge or provider them with basic medical terminology training both in their call centers and those you meet in person. I might know more than the average customer because I work as a healthcare advocate for living, I have a masters in counseling, work as a supervisor in a call center and have marking experience. Your first appointment you are not told until you get there that hytek will charge your medical insurance for things that might not even be covered by your plan and they have no clue if these doctors or the labs are in network with your plan or even where the doctor is sending the labs too. Simple question how are you billing this.. what cpt and diagnostic codes are you billing this under the doctor themself could not even answer. I get the hytek employees with no medical training being clueless when asked that question but a doctor to have no idea? Really! Then we are told don't worry if your health plan doesn't pay we will not charge you, Asked to have that in writing nope we don't provide you with that. Asked to get codes to see if its covered under your plan nope we have no clue. Why are you ordering all this, why can't you tell patients they must bring lab results they had in the last year to the appointment or we will draw you blood and this might not be covered at all by your health plan. Prior to the first appointment and a list of all test they are doing with the cpt and diagnostic codes and the labs they are being sent to with the name of the doctor practice hytek wil bill under so patients can confirm coverage and network status. Genetic testing is rarely covered by health insurances and yet hytek does this why probably because they teamed up with a dna company start up trying to get their name out there and they get a kick back for how many dna test are ordered. I have asked for over 6 months to get that report.. .no one has it one can find it including the doctor who ordered it and hytek never helped to resolved this even though numerous times of being ask to help. The first doctor I had left hytek I saw them once this never was an issue with the state of PA that I saw the doctor once. Hytek you need a new doctor and even though its are mess up that you feel through the cracks and this doctor left us you have to pay all these fees again we wont even as a one time courtesy not charge for our fuck up. I asked so why do we have to do phone consults 4 x a year.. the state of PA does not require this to show patient doctor established relationship show me this in writing.. hytek and the doctor cant tell me finally the doctor said that was my decision how many time a year not the state of PA. I asked for where i can learn more related to how medical marijuana works with my body for my condition the doctor tells me to google it not even here are some reliable websites. Hytek also pushes CBD like crazy at your appointment for a very high cost that you will get much cheaper when you get your card at a dispensary hytek must get a cut back from the cbd vendor for this. Its sad how much consumers who are not aware or who don't know the correct questions to ask can be ripped off for and pay for things they never should have to pay for all so someone can make a buck. I did at first refer a lot of people to hytek even told a few dispensaries about it that and ended real quick when I saw what was going on . I guess this is what you have to settle for just to get a medical marijuana card in the state of PA subpar care. Even after speaking to the owners more then once of hytek about my concerns there are issues still going on, things were never fixed. I still don't have a copy of my records. I am used to dealing with the some of the best doctors in the country living outside of Philadelphia this level of service would never be accepted. In fact if I was working with a client who had all of this happen I would educate them on their rights and they would file a grievance with the health plan and the doctor and the facility would be reported which would put them at risk of losing a contract and being out billions of dollars. Hytek knows things are confusing they seen their name in lights with getting rich quick jump on the green rush band wagon, and consumers get stuck who want to get and keep their card and are being exploited. Keep your head down mouth shut deal with this if you want to keep you medical marijuana card in the state of PA I wonder how many other states hytek is in who have consumers wrapped around their finger.

I am giving this 1 star because 0 is not an option. I showed up early for an appt to find a locked door and no sign. Two days prior the called and changed the time and confirmed Toledo Ohio. The neighbor says they have been gone a month. Now they want me to drive to Cleveland or Cincinnati, another 5 hour round trip and they refuse to refund my money. The office address they sent is a seedy, dirty, run down building. This is not a legitimate business. They also said , "I understand" to a disabled person on a fixed income that they lied to and stole from.

BEWARE ! Absolutely a scam from the beginning . They cancelled and changed a few appointments.When I finally got there, it was in a very shady/seedy place. Dr was unprepared with no info on his patients, no records, no phones or computers.I could tell he was very upset with the situation too. I didn't trust Hytek for several reasons including their seeming disorganization and brought my own records to be the appointment.The Dr said I was eligible and should hear from Hytek in 24 to 48 hours. It's been a month now and I have heard nothing from Hytek. They don't answer their phones, no return calls, their voicemail is full and no guaranteed refund has been received. Shame on them for scamming vulnerable people !

Scam! Charge and test urine and blood quarterly, not required by state of PA. Phoney Lab Ridgewood in NJ charges thousands of dollars, sends threatening letters and has "rent a doctor" who will not see me face to face. Charges quarterly for 7 minute phone call and refuses to send my Medical records so I can change doctors. Hytec is NOT Medical in anyway. Had no medical personell, just a "rent a doctor" who refuses to send my Medical records and has zero idea what this company or lab is doing. Reported her to state of PA. Stay away!!

I have been trying to contact someone about the email below. All emails are coming back to me stating that it's an invalid email. I have left several phone messages and no return calls.I had an appointment Saturday the 12/14 I waited an hour and a half and no dr. I did not receive an appointment and my card was charged. I left several messages and no reply. I turned them in to the BBB and they have yet to respond. They took my payment instantly when I was told they wouldn't untill I had my consolation. I guess my next step will be contacting a lawyer and turning them in for HIPPA VIOLATIONS. DO NIT USE THIS COMPANY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. This company is a scam. Beware!!
