Happy National Margarita Day! Hussong's announced on their socials that they were selling $5 margaritas all day on 2/22/25, and since I'm a huge fan of this drink, I decided to give it a go and have Kyle tag along with me.This Hussong's is in a newer business development complex on St. Rose and Maryland across the street from Costco. They are also the oldest restaurant that we've ever visited, having first been established in 1892. Did you know that they are also home of the very first margarita creation? Yep, I learned this fact during this visit.They had a live mariachi band performing in the middle of the restaurant when we walked in. Even though it was busy, we were still able to get a table, where we sat at a booth. Looking at their drink menu, I immediately went for their $5 margarita, which was served frozen in a small cup. If we didn't drive here, we would've had so much more.For appetizers, we shared a queso bean dip, which was served with two different sauces. One was salsa and the other was like a smoky BBQ dip. We ended up finishing the first basket and asked for a second one because we enjoyed it so much. For our main entrees, I ordered a platter of Baja shrimp tacos with rice and beans on the side and Kyle ordered a Cali burrito.Before we got our food, we noticed that we were not given any napkins or silverware. Kyle had to steal two of them from another vacant table as a result. The shrimp inside my tacos were beer battered, which made them extra crunchy and flavorful. Kyle's burrito was so huge that he ended up taking half of it home with him, and he almost always finishes everything on his plate!This was a great place to celebrate National Margarita Day at. Their margaritas were really good and the food was excellent.

I was excited when I heard this was opening near my house because we have been to the Mandalay Bay location a few times for the mariachi!I was a little disappointed with the prices they are nearly strip prices! The food is decent but the margaritas as really good! Sadly I don't think I will frequent this place often unless it's for happy hour! The prices are a little on the high side!

I've visited the original Hussong's in Ensenada, MX and when I learned they had a few locations across Vegas I added them to my list. Tonight I decided to hit up happy hour at the St. Rose Pkwy location, which is have to argue is probably one of the best happy hours in Vegas. Not only do they offer a super strong original margarita for $6, they have great food specials too. I was super hungry tonight, so I stuck with my margarita but I appreciated the complementary chips and salsa, which is a rarity anymore. Both salsas were delicious, the pico based salsa was more spicy while the blended salsa had a yummy smoky undertone. Our server was friendly and checked in on us often. There were plenty of tables as well as bar seating with TV's for catching a game.Their entire menu is very reasonably priced and the best part is that they have a very robust vegan menu! I'll definitely be back for dinner to try some of the entrees.

First time at Hussong's and will definitely return. My cousin suggested the place and it was perfect since we wanted to watch Thursday Night Football. I've wanted to go to their Mandalay Bay location for a while so I was excited. We sat at a table in the bar area and could watch the game. It wasn't too busy when we arrived around 5:45pm but the restaurant got pretty full. Our server was Stevie and she was great. She's fun, upbeat and made us feel very welcome. Stevie filled us in on the history of Hussong's, which I enjoy hear about, and it's also on the menu. She asked us if it was our first time there, which it was and we got the bean dip complimentary. We decided to share items from the Happy Hour Menu and quickly ordered since it runs 3pm - 6pm. We ordered a lot for two but wanted to try a lot at Happy Hour prices.Mini Chicken Tinga Tostada- the chicken has great flavorTaquitos- beef ones, and I really liked theseDiablo Shrimp- this was my favorite, not real spicy but the sriracha aioli is perfectBirria Tacos- the barbacoa was great Elote Ensenada- also one of my favoritesFor drinks, I had a Pacifico Draft and my cousin had a Margarita, both also on the Happy Hour Menu.Great dining experience and will definitely be back.

This was our first time at a Hussong's restaurant. I'm happy to share that, the customer service team was outstanding! We ordered the barbacoa burrito with red sauce and 2 barbacoa enchiladas and 1 chicken enchilada with both red and green sauce on top and rice and beans on the side. It was Monday night football and the place had a fun, upbeat vibe which we weren't expecting but the free shot with every fumble made up for the extra noise. We agreed that we would definitely go back and try more menu items. Bottom line: Hussong's Mexican restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood and worth revisiting!!

My 5 friends and I arrived for happy hour at around 5:15 on a friday and were seated right away. The decor was similar to any other cantina I have been to. We each ordered a drink or two and an entree off of the happy hour menu. The pricing was great - classic margs were $6 and the peach ring special marg I ordered was $8. I also ordered the birria tacos, which were only $8 for 4 mini tacos and consommé. They were super delicious, and so was the peach margarita! In addition, there was complementary warm chips and salsa, which is always a plus. My issue with this place was not the food or drinks, it was the service. Around 6:15, less than an hour after we were seated, our waitress Irma informed us that there is a time limit on each table and we needed to leave. Mind you, we had just paid at that time, but a few of my friends were still finishing their food and drinks, and we had not been told of this time limit ahead of time. One of my friends had over half of her margarita left over and had to chug it so we could leave. I am very understanding of the fact that restaurants need to seat the next parties that are waiting, however we had barely been there for an hour (including waiting for our food, which took a while!) and there were SO MANY other empty tables. There was even a group of kids and their parents that had already finished eating when we arrived and were still there when we were kicked out. They had clearly not been notified of the time limit, so it feels as if the staff was picking on my friends and I specifically. Overall, I will not be returning here because of the rude service, and I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you are looking for a rushed, unpleasant meal.

I've been to the Hussong's in Mandalay Bay and was looking forward to trying the Henderson location once it opened. We were greeted right away and sat in a booth. Chips and salsa hit the table quickly and our drink orders were taken. The Cucumelon margarita was really refreshing with the cucumber and watermelon flavors. I was undecided on what to order since everything sounded good, so I went with the combo where you pick 3 choices. I went with the barbacoa enchilada with all 3 enchilada sauces, the carnitas street tacos, and the chicken taquitos. My favorite was the enchilada. It was full of tender barbacoa and all 3 sauces were tasty. The carnitas tacos were traditional street tacos. The taquitos were my least favorite because of the large diced onions inside. Overall the portions were good for the price we paid. The service was excellent. I'll be back to try more dishes and their happy hour specials.

We had a great time at Hussong's! Met the owner who was so friendly! It was a fun environment watching the game. They had raffles and prizes. All you can eat tacos were amazing! Service excellent and as a bonus our granddaughter had fun finding little resin ducks! We highly recommend this location for its food and fun!
