Golden Phoenix Chinese Cuisine

Definitely my go to Chinese place in the area. They have the best specials and are very consistent with their food. I tend to get the pepper steak and egg flower soup. But I haven't bought any dish on the menu I haven't liked so far.

Been there a few times the sizzling rice soup a 5. Walnut shrimp about 4.5. Salt and pepper calamari about a 4. Still tasty. Had it delivered! On time was hot and fresh!

This place is gross; good tastes old ; inside of the restaurant smells and the wait staff are weird and rude; had wait staff just stuffing their face while I was placing an order; will never go back again

Yelp Review 2023 #152:Golden Phoenix was one of the OG neighborhood restaurants since I moved in this area over 15 years ago. They've survived the recession and COVID. But today was my first time actually dining in at the restaurant after all these years of ordering delivery.Neighborhood Chinese restaurants like Golden Phoenix are like a buffer between Panda Express and Chinatown restaurants in terms of flavor, variety and quality of the food. Honest and hardworking families are behind these businesses. So, to those that were hypercritical and harsh with their reviews about this place especially because an employee didn't speak much English, just stay with your Panda Express.Whenever I'm sick, I love getting either their hot and sour soup or egg flower soup. My go-to dishes include honey walnut shrimp, combination fried rice, crab Rangoon, sweet and sour pork, and beef with broccoli. Their lemon chicken is also quite good. Today, I tried their spicy fried pork chop which isn't too spicy - just enough heat. I like their food. It's convenient.I went here at an odd time for a super late lunch and had the place to myself...for a little bit. They have a few tables. It was quiet except their phone rings a lot. They get a lot of take-out and delivery orders. A few more people came in and sat down to eat. The server was attentive. Food came out piping hot and quick.FYI! Fried rice is normally made with day old rice. To gripe about freshness, to you I say DUH?!?

So this is take out only but the place looks nice.Enjoy the potstickers and egg rolls. Very good versions of shrimp and veggies. Mongolian beef is very tasty. All for a good price!

Golden Phoenix Chinese Cuisine is located in North Las Vegas. They offer mostly American Chinese dishes. They also offer teriyaki, Singapore curry noodles, tomato beef with eggs, some Thai dishes, lunch specials, and family dinners.They give you a small plate of complimentary crisp noodles with duck sauce.We shared the beef with tomatoes and scrambled eggs and the hot garlic Szechuan chicken. You really don't come across many Chinese Restaurants that offer the tomato beef dish. The tomato beef with scrambled eggs isn't sweet here. The beef was tender but this dish is good but slightly flat.The hot garlic Szechuan chicken is hot from dried pepper and fresh hot pepper. This dish has all kinds of flavors going on with it and also does have some sweetness to it. It was made with all kinds of fresh vegetables and expertly tender white meat chicken.Service was efficient.

Excellent service and the food was Delicious I did a walk up take out for soup egg rolls and fried rice The original order forgot about the egg rolls I called the restaurant and explained the missing itemThe woman was extremely cooperative and understanding Although I could not return the same day she issued a credit via the phone number to compensate on the next visit The food was delicious and the customer service exceptional

I always order wor wonton soup. most of it has been very tasty. Today 02/25/2025 at close to 4pm. I had a to go order. It was awful . It had no flavor to the soup, it was very bland. the shrimp was not fresh, it was frozen already cooked. I could tell the difference between cooked shrimp and cocktail frozen shrimp. The barbeque beef that was added to the soup, was old and chewy. The wor wonton that go in the soup, were not wor wonton, they were torn up noodles filled with something that had no taste. I have no idea what they substituted them with. The orange chicken lunch was not fresh cooked chicken. The chicken was chewy and old. What a mess I wasted my money on. Anytime they tell you your food will be ready in 8 minutes, watch out. It took me 5 minutes to get there because I was just around the corner and it was already packaged waiting for me. The whole order was not hot food.

Decided to try this place out based on a coworker's suggestion. Came for dinner around 5p & place was already busy. Busy with phone orders & take out orders. Seemed short staffed as well. We dined in & waited about 20 -30 mins for our food. We weren't in a hurry and didn't mind the wait. I mean, if they were busy with all those orders they must be good right?! We ordered lettuce wrap, salt n pepper pork & Pad Thai. All were really tasted but nothing extraordinary. Place was a typical Chinese place, dark lighting and red walls. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Good food, large portions and affordable menu prices. Friendly staff as well. Location is very accessible if you live in the North side of town.
