Nice room. Air conditioner was really loud though. Friendly staff. However casino table staff not friendly at all. I know it must be a hard job and underpaying I hear. But at least fake it as we lose hard earned moneyWill probably try the Cal on my next trip. Mahalo

The casino was enjoyable, but the hotel experience was deeply disappointing. The rooms were poorly maintained and unclean, and the customer service was terrible, showing a complete lack of empathy.I booked Spa Suite 7E, only to discover that the steamer was broken, the bathroom had visible dirt and stains, and the bed sheets appeared dingy and dusty. When I raised these concerns, I was initially promised a new room. However, when I went to collect the key, I was suddenly informed that no other suites were available. After hours of escalation, I was finally moved the next day--only to find that the new room was also not fully prepared. The draperies didn't work, the box spring was too large for the bed, and the carpet was stained. Shockingly, management was aware of the broken drapery and still assigned me that room.To make matters worse, the bathtub leaked, and the toilet ran for 20-30 minutes before flushing properly. I contacted the leadership team, but no one responded. There was no apology for ruining my anniversary weekend, and no refund could compensate for the lost time on my vacation. I was unable to rest and even missed an excursion due to the hotel's poor customer service.

We have been coming to the Golden Nugget for over 20 years. This vacation was totally ruined by the sound of jack hammers, drilling hammering everyday while we were here. Called the desk everyday and they lied about what was going on, they said it was a plumbing emergency. But that was total BS, they are renovating rooms in the floor above us. They said that they would try to find us another room and would call us when it was ready, that phone call never came. Not sure I will be coming back!

This place is a scam. They convinced me to upgrade my room to the gold tower upon arrival. Apparently the room I got on Hotwire was in a old, inhabited tower, that didn't have cleaning service or coffee makers (the agent at the front desk said) so for $30 extra per night I could be in a room that had AC, coffee and came with daily cleaning as long as I text them ahead of time. Well. The upgraded room was dirty, hair all over the shower, cracks in the ceiling, and the A/C made this noise that the maintenance dept came twice to fix but never got fixed. Meanwhile they were there a time before that because it wasn't producing cold air, and was only hot air. I was also told with my "upgrade" that cleaning service was included if we text them ahead of time. That was a lie. I text for my room to be cleaned, got a response it would, and never in the entire stay, was my room cleaned once. Also the coffee in the room was free (4 pods) as long as me and my guest didn't drink more than 4 coffees during our 4 night stay. So a half a pod a day for each of us, or we would be charged. Overall this was not a good experience and I would not recommend my friends or family to stay here, let alone be sold and "upgrade". I definitely feel taken by this hotel. On top of a resort fee which included not one thing besides spotty WiFi. Total rip off. Stay in a newer hotel and avoid this one at all costs.

We loved the downtown Fremont street location so much better then the strip. Casino was decent but smelled of smoke. Pool is located in the center of the resort and has plenty of shade, sun and crammed in chairs. The shark tank in the middle of the pool was really cool. The upgraded room was decent with a fridge and small couch facing pool. The salt grass restaurant was decent and bar staff great.What we did not like.. wanted to check in two hours early and they charged $30 even though we were leaving several hours before checkout. If you upgrade your room they will waive early checkin fee. Pool you cannot bring in your own cups and they search your bags. They charge $16 and $30 per beverage ridiculous! Resort fee is to include parking, Wi-Fi and downtown coupons well parking was full one night and coupons were a joke -2 of them.

Hotel Parking has enough available slots of self parking if you want to save money on a valet.Hotel reception line moves at a reasonable pace. We went on a weekend, so it took us around 15 minutes to check in.Casino floor heavily smells like cigarettes, enough to make your eyes water in about 30 minutes. Ventilation could use some help.It's best to get non-smoking rooms so that you get a chance for a breather from the casino floor. :)And the pool was closed, which is weird for a weekend. We should've asked in advance if it was going to be open. They have a nice slide that goes through an aquarium, which we hoped to experience hehe. But alas.

We were pretty disappointed with our hotel room. Upon check-in we were told we were upgraded to a view room, but when got there the view was of a parking structure. Every hour on the hour there was a bell ringing which was annoying. Would have preferred our original reservation.We paid for early check-in however we had to wait 3 hours for our bags from the bell desk after calling multiple times and being told our items were being brought up. The final call they didn't even have a record of our bags, but they ended up finally finding it. Thankfully they didn't lose our bags but it was a waste of the early check-in since we were confined to the room until our bags arrived.The shower didn't work well at all, we had to keep moving it around for it to start and it was a surprise of whether the water would be cold or hot. The room door didn't close very well either. Security came up and informed us to make sure to close it forcefully everytime. The only plus for us was the pool.

This place is a scam . I don't leave reviews at all ... but I'd recommend staying away from their business as they will charge additional fees without telling you tell you they will refund and then never do .

I think a big thing is they charge $2 upcharge for every hand of blackfack; supposedly so you can win the spin on the blackjack; this is a serious expense. Then none of the slot machines pay off.
