Stopped by after breakfast nearby. This place is kind of a little hidden gem. Pretty much has a good selection of almost everything we need for our usual shopping with respect to dry noodles, spices and odds and ends. I mean it's not like 99 Ranch, SF or 168 markets, but it doesn't pretend to be. Just a small, clean and apparently well run neighborhood market that is a convenient stop when we're nearby.Didn't take any interior pictures, sorry

A friend of mine told me about this hole in a wall Chinese market. According to my friend, they get fresh vegetables from LA on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. They also sell a special breed of free range chicken (三黃雞). So I decided to check it out on a Tuesday. It is very small and was very crowded in the back where the vegetables were. Sure enough the Chinese tender green (菜芯), Chinese broccoli, baby bok choy, A-choy stem (萵筍), etc. were really fresh. Prices were very reasonable. I later checked another market close by and the Chinese tender green was a whole dollar more per pound and not near as fresh ($2.99 versus $1.99). I also like the fact that some of the vegetables were open stock instead of pre-bagged.There's a row of freezers on the side with some meats. They even had pork neck meat which is not readily available elsewhere. I didn't see the chicken I was looking for, so I asked. They got one for me from the back. It's actually frozen, from a farm in Chino, CA. It still had its head, like the non-frozen free range brown chickens sold in other Chinese supermarkets. This is not your one-stop-shop type of market. Their selection is quite limited. Even the variety of vegetables is not very large. And since the place is small, there is no shopping cart. They do have some baskets with wheels. I do highly recommend them if you're looking for good quality Chinese vegetables, especially the more Cantonese ones like the Chinese tender green (菜芯) and Chinese broccoli (芥蘭). But I can't really call it a 5-star supermarket based on its size and selection.

Prices are reasonable here and produce is fresher. The two guys saw me struggling getting a 50lb bag to the cashier. Guy helped me out so I could pay. I'd be fine normally at other stores, but I'm short and they don't really have a counter for me to place the rice anywhere other than the ground. Another guy grabbed my bag of rice and headed out the door waiting for me to point out where my car was! Awesome gesture without me asking for help.

Small Chinese market with basic essentials as far as groceries, vegetables and snacks. Selection is limited as it is a small place but prices are generally lower than larger stores like SF Supermarket or 99 Ranch Market.

This is not a Japanese market. It is Chinese and is filthy. Walked in and walked right out. I would not recommend this store. Much cleaner stores like 168 Market.
