El Rancho Boulder Motel

This is a update now for this review 3 months later, I filed a dispute through my bank and without my surprise the Mgr at this hotel lied about everything so of course good for them they got to keep my money, Wow outstanding for you bravo for being a thief as well. You know what they say about Karma, what goes around comes back to you 3 fold.

If you need a no frills, affordable, centrally located and clean spot to shower and sleep, you can't go wrong. Definitely for the basic traveler, it's an older motor-court style building and doesn't offer many amenities, other than a seasonal pool and free coffee in the lobby. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, even allowing us an early check-in. You can easily walk to all the fun of downtown Boulder City from this spot.

We travel A LOT! Sometimes we just need a clean place to sleep and shower. This place felt so gross, that we went to the nearest store for pillows and flip flops to wear in the room. The room felt so dirty, that we didn't want to shower. It is clear that there is no attention to detail as BOTH of our side lamps were missing lightbulbs. The curtain was broken at the top so it wouldn't close all the way and we had to go to the front desk for a clip to keep it shut. The AC kept turning off and on throughout the night, we got very little sleep because it was extremely loud. Carpets are stained and gross, curtains are disgustingly dirty, walls are scuffed - everything felt dirty. Before writing reviews, we emailed the management with photos and details of our experience and it's been more than two weeks without a reply. This clearly tells us that they don't care. We can see that others have had similar experiences and we wouldn't stay here for free if we had to do it again.

Parked my car there for literally 2 minutes to run across the street and grab something and the old crackhead lady that lives upstairs threw a fit and tried to get me towed by management. I understand if I parked there and left my car there for 30+ minutes. But holy shit, get a life.

This place is such a gem. The bed was beyond comfortable. It had to be memory foam. The linens were all super clean, the air was cool, room was clean, water pressure in shower was excellent and the pool, WOW. So relaxing and never a lot of people in it - if ever while we were there. Perfect location next to Bootleg canyon where I could run as the sun rises, while hearing a pin drop, then Coffee Cup Cafe for a delicious fresh hot breakfast!We met one of the owner's and he was great! I needed a hair dryer and the front desk loaned me one. The grounds are super clean. We would go to a gas station near by to get coffee in the morning. 11am check out is fabulous! Housekeeping gets 5 stars too! I cannot WAIT to go back!

Had the opportunity to stay here on a familiarization visit. The staff was very welcoming and nice. This property has a great location and steps away to lots of pubs snd restaurants. It is very clean, and comfortable. This iconic motel has a lot of history and is a landmark in Boulder City. Perfect place to stay when visiting Boulder City. Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Some rooms are nice, some rooms are horrible.Our group stays here often, multiple times a summer and had never been put in this room before. We had 3 rooms in total and 2 of them were nice, clean, and decently well kept. the 3rd room permanently changed our perspective of the motel, and now we will likely be taking our business elsewhere.The bad room had carpet stained and all torn up, window screens had been busted out like someone jumped through them, the beds were harder then the crusty carpet, wallpaper was literally falling off the walls etc.It felt very disrespectful that they would put us in a room this bad while the other members of our group paid the same exact amount for a totally normal and nice room with none of the same issues.The staff was friendly and accommodating and switched the bad room to a normal one with no argument.

Great value. Motel across the street was THREE times more expensive. The king bed had a memory-foam matress. Much more conformable than the motel across the street. Very quiet area and between rooms was pretty good. We got great sleep there. This motel is older, but under renovation, and being upgraded.Very close walking distance) to old town restaurants and bars. And an easy jaunt to Lake Powell and Hover Dam. They let let us checkout 2 days early since the weather turned bad.
