Dona Maria Tamales Restaurant

Dinner was good tonight. Good food, good service, good company, and good margaritas. The chips are quality chips, not those thin little bastards that you find elsewhere. But their hot salsa in my opinion needs a little help. The regular salsa is just fine and tasty but if you want hot flavorful salsa, you need to seek another place. The attempt is okay using Serrano and jalapeños, but the flavor is somewhat lacking and could add some habaneros too. Oh and some roasted tomatoes. Tonight, I had the steak fajita salad. It was pretty good but would prefer my lettuce to not be finely chopped, small sacrifice but I managed. Burritos are excellent though. We ordered the Madori melon margaritas because it was happy hour. Did I mention that it was happy hour? Well it is, M-F 4 to 6. Take advantage of it. It's a great place to bring the family!

This is review is just for Tamale pickup.We received them easily and the employee was super nice.Go home and the tamales are squished together, some are not completely wrapped and shaped inconsistently.Not a huge deal I guess as long as they taste amazing. But they were " meh" the masa was hard, the chicken was dry and all together not very flavorful. We tried chicken, beef, pork and sweet.Like I said Chicken was dry, beef was mushy with not much flavor, pork was alright, and the sweet barely had any raisins and basically just tasted like it was all masa.Glad I gave it a try, but probably won't be returning.

There are a ton of great Mexican spots in Vegas so I don't think I'd return here. Prices were high for what you got and the food was just fine. I got a couple of tamales and they were mediocre and my boyfriend a subpar burrito. The server wasn't super attentive. The restaurant itself is cute, but it wasn't very busy, especially for a Sunday at prime lunch time. It wasn't terrible, I just think there are better choices in the area.

Overpriced. Decent food. Decent drinks. Loud atmosphere but wonderful service! This place has been around for awhile and we do enjoy it once in awhile but our last experience wasn't the best. Chicken was very dry in the taquitos and my boyfriend paid 17$ for a bean and hash brown burrito. The server did give us a discount butin this economy they should really look into changing the prices.

Was craving some authentic Mexican food for an early dinner and decided to give Dona Marias a try! The restaurant was clean and well lit. The menu was extensive and had most anything you'd expect... except a side of queso?? Thankfully our waiter brought us a bowl of a queso they use for their nachos. It was delicious and had the perfect amount of kick to it. The margaritas were strong and definitely effective lol. We also ordered chicken Flautas & carnitas quesadilla. The chicken in the flautas was a little dry but with dipping it in the queso and quac it was divine. The full order of quesadilla was much larger than we anticipated, but it was pretty mid. Overall I'll come back, but will probably venture to something else on the menu.

I was hankering for some tamales on my last trip and my cousin suggested I check out Dona Maria's. While running some errands in the area, I decided to get some lunch and was so glad I did! I walked in to get some take out and was greeted by a nice server who suggested I try their tamale plate. I comes with two tamales, rice and beans. She suggested I try the beef and pork tamales, since each of those (and their chicken) and their most popular options. I loved my order and didn't wait long before she brought it out to me and I went on my merry way. When I got home, I was pleasantly surprised to also find chips and salsa on the side! My tamale plate was HEAVY and came stuffed with rice and beans. The tamales were also generously stuffed with meat and let me just say, I didn't eat for the rest of the day because this plate kept me so full. Even after I went to Pilates a few hours later! I kinda wish I went back to order the tamales Ala carte and bring a bunch back home with me. At least now I know where to go when I'm craving good-a** tamales or what omiyage I want when my cousins come to visit me lol

My mom and I had an amazing lunch here . I ordered the lunch special of shredded beef taco and chicken enchiladas. Both were amazing . I believe my mom ordered the tostada and she loved it . Chips and salsa were amazing as well. For drinks we ordered a Pina and Strawberry Colada and it was perfect for a hot day. Customer service was great. Restaurant was very clean and tables were cleaned and reorganized quickly . I will be back

This is one of my go-to Mexican spots. The tamales are very good. I recommend trying the pork or beef tamale enchilada style. My son likes to add a couple of over easy eggs on top. The beer is super cold and hits the spot. Menudo is a must. I like to get the bean dip and add enchilada sauce to it. I tried the chicken salad for the first time today. I wasn't expecting much but it pleasantly surprised me! They are also very generous with the grilled chicken which had amazing flavor. I will be coming back...again, and again. :)

Fast and easy pickup. The food was excellent! Highly recommend. This place is the best Mexican food in my. Area of Vegas Northwest. We love it.

Enjoyed Father's Day breakfast. Had the matchaca and coffee. My friend had a the carne asada steak. Service was attentive and spot on. The meal was hot and tasty. The fresh made tortillas are always thick. And tasty. Enjoyed the atmosphere and staff. See youSoon.
