You ever walk into a store and be like ... "never-mind, I dont need it that bad?'" First time I went I contemplated slitting my wrists and bleeding out in the candy aisle just to see if I could get the attention of anyone who worked there. My second visit made me want to hop on the freeway back to my ex in Henderson & beg him to give us another try because I Downtown Vegas Living was proving to feel like I was back in LA. PUT ME BACK IN THE SUBURBSwhere the roads are pavedeveryone smiles through overly whitened teeth evenand CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS NEVER THIS F@cking BADI remember checking out one day and the cashier was ON THE PHONE THE ENTIRE TIME.Lil Momma didnt say hi, ask me how my day was, if I found everything all right. Ion even liked being talked to in a store but I STILL WANT THE OPTION, DAMNIT.So the pros:if you're in a bind they literally have EVERYTHING you could possibly need to GTFO of it. From Oreos to Oils to OrigamiPaper to Obelisks to office supples and all kinda other shit. The other and more important pro .... THE WONDERFUL CHEERFUL BEAUTIFUL SWEET CASHIER WHOS NAME I BELIEVE IS NICOLE.Bruuuhhhh...She gives the warmest greetingKnows customers name. Asks questions so you know its real.Goes out her way to helpIs never on the phone while at the cashiers desk. Hella lively AFshe single handily makes up for the two Workers vapping in the parking lot while collecting carts. the cons:Bruh... its so many but Who TF REAAALLY cares, like fr fr?At the end of the day you not in there looking for a spouse or day care or medical help...what matters is they convenient AF and they got NICOLE.SHE IS THE ONLY REASON FOR THIS MANY STARS. Keep her happy or else...--shakes fists menacingly---

This is my favorite "one-stop-shop." Everything you could need. Freezer foods, Perishables, packaged goods, body wash, detergents. Unlike most "Dollar General" I've been to, the store was clean and well-stocked. It's my go-to when I don't feel like the larger store options.

If I could rate this joke of a "market" -50 Stars, that's exactly what I would do. Putting completely aside the terrible selection (much closer to the selection at 7-11 right across the street) and awful looking produce, the employees there are some of the rudest, most disrespectful and lazy I have ever seen in my life. And I do LOTS of shopping. This dollar general market is very close to where I'm staying, and I can just easily walk there to shop, so I thought I would give it a try. The first time I went to the market really turned me off, but I REALLY regret coming back the second time. So when I shop, I normally carry a cooler bag with me when shopping as well as for carrying my groceries home. I like to walk to and from the store if possible most of the time. In addition, taking a cooler bag with me saves the environment and ocean from getting contaminated with more plastic. I know this isn't exactly some revolutionary thinking, but I really think that every little bit adds up, and if we all contribute as much as we can, in the end it makes a huge difference for our environment So then, on my first visit to dollar general market, I did my shopping and got up to the register. The girl behind the register starts placing my groceries in plastic bags. I told her I don't need any plastic bags because I carry my own cooler bag with me. She gives me an odd look, then starts TOSSING (not Placing, but TOSSING) my groceries up on to this platform in the middle of the bagging area, which is elevated with no rails or anything to keep groceries from falling right off. I had quite a few items there, and one of my items was a jar of peanut butter. The jar of peanut butter she tossed up on this ledge lands on its side and starts to roll off. I only saw it happening as it was almost over the edge and I could see it happening, but was just a quarter second too late. I moved to try and catch the peanut butter jar before it smashed on the ground. In doing so, they had this funny little cornet protruding from this bagging island, and I smashed my knee into this corner. It hurt like you wouldn't believe, but I didn't make a big deal out of it. In fact, when the cashier asked me what happened? Are you ok? I told her I was fine and didn't even mention her carelessness was 100% what was going to be the cause of a majorly sore knee cap for the next few days at least. I gathered my groceries, including my smashed jar of peanut butter that hit the concrete floor, put everything in my cooler bag, and proceeded to limp home. So today, I return for a second try at this "market". As soon as I walk in, what appears to be some sort of a security guard, comesFlying out of nowhere and starts SCREAMING at me: "Sir, Sir!!!!"I asked her what the problem was. She screamed at me: "YOU CAN'T BRING THAT IN HERE!"I said "I can't bring what in here?"She said: "That bag! That big bag! You can't bring that in here!"I asked her why not. She told me not to worry about it, I should justListen to her. I couldn't shop with my bag. I explained to her what I was doing with the bag, why I was carrying it with me, and that I would be using it to carry my groceries as I walked home. She says "Oh no. YOU Don't seem to understand me! You can't bring ANY bags into the store EVER. And you can't leave them here!"Again, I try to nicely explain that I use the bag to carry groceries home when I shop.she agrees to let me leave my bag at the front but starts lecturing me about how I shouldn't ever dare trying to bring a bag into her store again. She storms off, in the direction of the cooler section and starts working on stocking the cooler As I start my shopping, she sees me again, stops stocking the cooler, runs out of the cooler, runs over to me and stars lecturing me about my bag again. This time, I politely explain to her that I've had about enough of her crap for one day, and I'm getting pretty tired of her tirade.I told her just don't worry about it. I would NEVER be shopping there again, so he needn't worry any more about me, OR my cooler bag that offended her so deeply. I told her from now on, I would just walk another block up the street and shop atSmith'sShe told me it was great that I was going to be shopping somewhere else, she didn't care and she didn't need me anyway. I told her that of course she didn't care. Judging by her customer service, it really didn't surprise methat she didn't care about the store doing well.I walked away while she was still trying to harass me, and finished my shopping as quickly as I could and got the heck out of there. If you want a bad environment, terrible selection, lazy, miserable, and ANGRY employees who don't give a rip about the environment, this is your place to shop.

This place has very unprofession people working and running the place duringthe day. Feels like high scholl drama on the playground. If I need to stop there its only after 5 when the night crew is there. I mean grow up and act like you know how to manage a business. Come on fake it til you make it..

This Maryland Parkway store is the closest one to me & I will walk miles out of my way to avoid it due to the nasty & ill mannered cashiers that permeate the place.I have not owned a car by choice since 1997 (I'll keep my money thank you!!) & enjoy getting out in nature and walking and usually have a backpack to store the things I purchase. That said, I actually had one of the cashiers (named "Dynasty" go figure - LOL!!) yell and scream at me when I refused to just leave my $200 BMF Camelbak Backpack at the front of the store where anyone could come along & take it and walk off with it. I was there to shop, NOT part with my personal belongings and was not about to leave my backpack anywhere.I see from the comments that I'm not the only one thats encountered this type of experience in this store. I have complained to the online 800# several times and its obvious upper management doesnt care because its just gotten worse over time. NO MORE - I'm Done with this place.Avoid at all cost, especially at the first of the month when the EBT Rats are swarming. You have been warned.

Ghetto in every sense of the word. It seems like there's always some incident or drama going on that stalls the already long lines. Cops have been called on occasions. Customers can be as rude as the employees that obviously don't like to work there.

I would recommend literally any other dollar store over this one....will not be back, here's an idea; why don't you train your staff to use the cash registers that it's literally their job to know how to use?

it was 110° outside and I walked with my reflective umbrella to the store and bought a few things to carry back home. I went to get my credit card which was inside my iPhone and I couldn't find it. The wonderful lady at the counter took the time to call to see if it would ring, it didn't. But when I walked home again, there it was on my boyfriend's computer. Nobody stole it and I got what I wanted at the store. you have such. good variety there. Please don't close that store.!!! It is so convenient for those of us in the neighborhood. I live at Regency Towers and there's no place for me to walk to, except you, to get necessities, and more. thank you.
