Good food and good service . The place was clean and the people were very friendly. I was starving and I left there full! So that was a plus!!

Decided to try this place out because we are never at a mall, let alone on the opposite side of town, but I was super hungry and we found it on yelp. In all honesty, it seemed to be just regular mall food to me, nothing impressive and nothing horrible. We got the 2 meat combo with chicken wings and fish with 2 sides (beans and rice? And the Mac n cheese) which comes with... a sweet Hawaiian roll?Either way, the chicken wings needed more seasoning, but they were cooked well and the Hawaiian roll was just...nOt a soul food biscuit that's for sure. The Mac n cheese used real cheese...but for some reason the texture was super off/chunky/floury and there was hardly a taste. Maybe it was because it was later after night that we went? I don't know.What was good was the fish! Well seasoned and well cooked. The bean and rice were also well done to us. Buuuuut it better have been since it took a little over 20 minutes for it to come out. Overall, still good if you're hungry at the mall and have more than a 30 minute lunch, but definitely not worth seeking out for what they would call Soul Food.

Devils sauce! YOWZA! Now that is a real dipping sauce with KERPOW power. I'd buy a bottle please!The collard greens were perfectly delicious with a little heat to it. Not mushy, oily or salty. Best ones I had, wanted more.Its located at the foodcourt in Meadows Mall. Super easy. They accept CC. The cashier and food caller super friendly.Got the saba fish plate. Nice crust but somehow a tad dry for me. Love their plastic trays its served in. Also love their pickle and condiment selection.

Delta Soul is located in the food court at Meadows Mall. Since this is a mall food court my expectations aren't the highest, however when we saw "soul food" as an option we decided to give it a try. 2 pieces of chicken and fries for $5.99, can't beat that price. She asked me if I wanted to add seasoning on the chicken and so I decided on lemon pepper. (Side note: I found out from my receipt that is an additional $0.50 for seasoning, I'm ok with it, but it would've been nice to know that they charge because I assumed it was free). The chicken was super crispy and juicy, but the seasoning for me was way too salty. It was served with crinkle fries, which no complaints here. My fiancé ordered the chicken tender with waffle and yams for $6.99, again great price. If you look at the photo it's not as appetizing, but the combination of chicken, waffle, and yams went perfect together. Perfect combo of sweet and savory. I really enjoyed their candied yams. Overall I gave 3 stars for the service, price, and decent food. The girl in the front, super nice and friendly. She mentioned we can sample any of the sides. The prices were reasonable, when you get real soul food the prices can get ridiculous, so it's nice to see it's still affordable. I would recommend if you want something different at the food court aside from McDonald's or Panda Express , try out Delta Soul.

My bestfriend and I went in craving some soul food. We were not disappointed! The chicken was cooked perfectly and the crust was just right. The mac and cheese was the best I've had! Tasted homemade! The fried cabbage was tender and flavorful. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left the girls up front took great care of us! Big thank you to them! We will definitely be coming back and will be recommending to anyone who asks! Also thank you for the cake and to go drinks! You made our experience wonderful here!

I wanted a family member to get me some Catfish from my fav place ... He mentioned he found a new spot Better than my favorite place--When i tell you I tasted my food with All Skepticism ...... and it was DELICIOUS!!! He had Chicken breast, yams & waffles .... and it was DELICIOUS!! Ok DELTA SOUL... i Will be a Regular!!!

After my disappointment with Charley's Philly Steaks, I decided to try out Delta Soul. I ordered from a friendly lady, the service was great. I tried the chicken wing plate. I was happy with my pick. The food was hot and nice portions.

During my lunch hour, which my co workers do every Friday, we eat Delta soul.. However this Friday was worst.. First of, the cashier was amazing. But I got my food, the fries taste as if they were under the lamp for hours. Then the chicken taste like it was dropped in fish batter.. When the young kid! Came to give refund, however tells me how he doesn't have to give it, things to a bad turn.. When they first open, this was a amazing place. No more! So sad..

I was hoping this place would be decent, however it's in the mall so I didn't have high expectations. 2 stars because the cash register girl was cute as AF...None the less, I did expect the beans to be thoroughly cooked. They were not!*insert angry face - tosses food on the wall*Came across this place with my girl and I got all excited because I LOVE me some soul food. After perusing through the menu, my first request was for the pulled pork sandwich. She said, "That's our most popular item on the menu!......We ran out."ME: Wait what?If that's the most popular item on the menu, you better make sure that it's always there. Business operations 101.I decided not to order from the place because it didn't have what I wanted.My girl did so I got to taste everything on her plate.After waiting about 20 minutes for the food because apparently there was some sort of debacle with why it didn't come to us quickly, I got to take a bite of the beans.The beans were about half cooked.Who wants to eat hard beans?The flavor of the juice didn't marry very well. You can taste each ingredient put into it individually, it wasn't a symphony in the mouth composed and blended well. So sad.The macaroni and cheese was flat like 80 year old titties.You would have to cover them in salt and pepper to give them ANY sort of flavor, (we did).For some reason the cheese tasted like cardboard. At least it wasn't box mac and cheese, but it wasn't the bomb, not even a dynamite cap.I was highly disappointed in the biscuit, because the "biscuit" is just a Hawaiian sweet roll straight from Walmart. I mean I'll eat it, but that sure as hell ain't no soul food.The wings were so spicy I could smell the heat from 2 feet away. I did not want to try them because they smelled way too hot - that isn't my thing. Can't give my review on those. However, if I did try them I'm sure I would not have been that impressed.I really don't know what else to say except it's basic Mall wannabe soul food.Before I tasted the food, I grabbed a to-go menu for my homie Malinda to try out the place because we're soul food connoisseurs.REAL TALK: I threw the menu in the trash because I did not want to waste her time, she would have been mad at me 100%.

Very disappointed.! The food does not look anything like the menus pictures. The flavor is not great either.I order a casserole that look very good on the menu picture but instead I only got a soap hot rice With literally 3 very small pieces of sausage floating around. In the picture you can see shrimp and vegetables and a lot of more ingredients. It is not worth it to spend money in this place ...We ordered 3 small plates from the menu and the bill was 60 dollars. !Too expensive for fast food that tastes like somebody just pour a bottle of hot sauce in the pot as all the seasoning for all the items in the menu.
