And the winner is...David Copperfield performing in Las Vegas for approximately 40 years, recipient of 21 Primetime Emmy Awards for overall performance and a net worth of around 1 billion dollars!David Copperfield is a Las Vegas tradition and can always be counted on to provide an enjoyable evening. I enjoy watching the faces of the young people in the audience as David disappears and as he makes a car, flying saucer and dinosaur appear right before your eyes.

If you're looking to be amazed this is not the show. I try not to be too critical of the Vegas shows seeing as I am a local but this show was not the least bit entertaining. It feels like it needs to be revamped.I recommend Criss Angel's Mind Freak if you're looking for something more fast paced and entertaining for adults. Although thank you to the staff who moved us to the front row!

I met David Copperfield many years ago when I worked at a movie theater. He was very nice, humble, kind, and smiled. I have wanted to see his show ever since and I am glad I did. There were moments that I cannot describe to you because they were unbelievable even though I saw them with my own eyes. The show is based around a dream, which works so well, because so much of the show blows my mind. There were many participants from the audience. David took the time to elbow bump many and said hello to many more. The audience was silent throughout most of the show. That is a rarity in Vegas. We tend to talk to each other, point things out to one another, etc. This audience was captivated from start to finish. I highly recommend the show. It's one you shouldn't miss.

I saw David Copperfield with my friends at the MGM right after New Year's in 2025. I think the show lasted about an hour and 10 minutes. They have a strict no cell phones policy and you put your phone in a box on your table during the show. This show is moderately entertaining. The photos and videos are a little out of date and really so are the themes of the show which are his dream of reuniting with his childhood toy dinosaur and the little alien and the spaceship. I'll give him credit for being close to 70 and still doing 2 shows a night. He's clearly still putting people in seats whether this show is relevant or not. The takeaway is believe in your dreams because you can make things happen. I get it. The 10 year old in our party was into it.

If you're looking for a quintessential Vegas experience, David Copperfield's show at MGM Grand is an absolute must-see. I brought my mom here during her first visit to Vegas, wanting to give her something familiar yet extraordinary - and this show delivered perfectly. As someone who grew up watching Copperfield's illusions on TV, seeing him perform live was surreal. The master magician hasn't lost his touch; if anything, his live performance exceeds expectations. What makes the show particularly engaging is the audience participation. Copperfield frequently brings people on stage, making each performance feel unique and personal. The illusions themselves are mind-bending. You'll find yourself constantly wondering "How did he do that?" or "Where did that come from?" Even as someone familiar with his work, I was completely amazed by the scale and execution of his tricks. What made the evening even more special was watching my mom's reactions throughout the show. Seeing her laugh at Copperfield's witty comments and gasp at his illusions confirmed I'd made the right choice. The show strikes a perfect balance - it's lighthearted enough to be accessible to everyone, yet sophisticated enough to leave you genuinely amazed.

We were really excited to see David Copperfield but our excitement quickly turned to disappointment. This show is old and dated and really staged. At times it was also confusing. David is very difficult to understand as he speaks softly and often mumbles. The whole show seemed like a high school talent show. Before the show began, my husband and I, along with everyone else in the front row were asked to sign their first name on a large folded piece of paper. We figured there would be a big reveal at the end of the show explaining why we signed our names. There was no explanation given. I'm assuming it was the paper David holds up at the end of the show that has everything written on it that happened during the show. They also emailed the "Big Reveal" to everyone's phones, which you have to put in a wooden box on the table in front of you before the show. The big reveal is a stock photo of David holding the paper with all that happened in the show. The photo we were emailed shows the same answers as another photo someone else posted on Yelp. It's obvious that the random audience members he chooses for the show are plants. When they are brought up on stage everyone seems to know exactly where to stand. That would not happen if they were truly randomly chosen. Save your money and don't go to this show. I wish I had read the other reviews beforehand. I would have saved about $300.

I have always enjoyed watching magic shows, but David Copperfield was always the one I wanted to see live. His show was had me laughing and crying, but it was such a great experience. I hope to go see him again one of these days.

Overall, this is a good show. I can't complain about the price because we got this as a gift! But just like what other reviews had said, the show is ok, but just not up-to-par with the old David Copperfield I remember seeing long ago. As mentioned in other reviews, I didn't understand the alien part. This is held inside the MGM Grand Hotel, and the venue is decent. It's "stadium-style" seating and you each sit at a table. We had great seats up close, but if you're in the back, you might be far from the action. He does call on random people, so beware if you're shy. Be cautious! There are tons of security watching the crowd for anyone taking photos or videos. We even saw a viewer being asked to leave. They request you all to put your phones in this box so you're not tempted to pull it out. Overall it's a good show. He is a legend, but you can tell David is just going through the motions. There are some amazing tricks and it is entertaining, but don't expect the same David Copperfield from long ago.
