Last night was my first visit to Vamp'd and we came to see the bands and grab some drinks and food. I was not aware that you should reserve tables and they were all taken. We found some folks leaving the bar area and popped a squat there at the bar. Otherwise, there was no seating.... by the time the band started, it was pretty packed and the majority of folks had to stand, which was okay when the bands were playing. But not so much when they weren't. We ordered the pepperoni pizza while at the bar and it was actually very good...great sauce and crust. Unexpectedly surprised!! I did feel bad for the bartenders as they were short staffed. The female bartender worked her arse off. Now, I don't know if the male bartender was just having a rough day or what, but he had a less than desirable personality, or lack thereof. I'd go back to this bar/venue, but I'd be better prepared next time and reserve ahead.

There is a place alongside the Sahara Blvd. Just west of the Ranbow crossing. A name that catches the eye of anyone passing by. A venue of perhaps intended uncertainty to coincide a certain sense of mystery house. I attended for the first time as an invited guest. Def Leppard tribute night. One which would later be better defined as a dedication event. A gift exchange between workers. A gathering of the rarely seen and the most familiar. The night escalated with energy of earth wind and fire. The symbols on the walls emerged with the faces of the crowd. The witching hour was nearby. A perfect storm of concert fog tunneling together with well crafted hurricane drafts. A band of moto cycling catylically converted into performing artist. A haven for original classics and tasteful bar jokes. He'll Mary. I do believe we arrived on the familiar side of the rainbow. A place I once called home.

Our servers were great, very accommodating. We paid for a booth for 8 people and we didn't fit, so some of the guys were standing. We were the only ones there, the place was still empty. The security guy or manager came over to tell us we couldn't stand, and some other dude kept looking over at us and gave us dirty looks. We finished our beer and food and left. Our servers kept apologizing for management.

It was a great night the band was great!!! And there's entrance fee...The only thing I didn't like was the service I experienced for my first time... OfCourse it's crowded that's given... Walk up to the bar and placed some orders in; there's no table available at the moment so we're just standing by the bar... while I was waiting for my burger and fries that I ordered in I saw a guy cleaning a table and asked excused me is this table taken? He said no; I don't think so.. so I said awesome will take it. He said give me a moment; grabbing some cleaning spray.. so we sat while he was gone to secure the table... as he came back he start cleaning it and while he was cleaning it he was saying there's a minimum of $50 to be seated on the table I said there's no problem I have food placed and an open tab running I'm like pretty annoyed at the moment but whatever. He said what's the name on the card who you have the card so I can transfer your tab to the table so you can start ordering with the server...At this moment we had $20 paid/closed tab and a open tab $17/burger-fries...We've been sitting on this table for a long a$$ minute and no server came... (seriously) your over here telling me about a $50 table minimum but no server ever came to ask for our order (it's fine) waited waited still no one so I had to flag the same guy who cleaned and told me about the $50 min./table I said excuse me sir; we're still waiting for the server no one has come... he said she will come and after 3-5 minutes he came back and he got our order in from this moment 30-40min I'm still no server came to introduce her/himself to us and still no BURGER! Same guy came back and said what did you order let me see if I can flag it down he went to the bar and found a cold a$$ burger sitting there and the he said that's the problem when you order at the bar they don't see you they just leave the burger there!!! At this moment I'm super pissed already!!! Didn't say anything I stayed quite but my face says it all..But come to think of it I thought he transferred out open tab from the bar to our table and I mentioned I also ordered food and he tried to blame me for ordering food at bar? When I placed that order there's no table take note it's not like we had a table and I placed a food at the bar...Finally after 1 pitcher 3 shots gone a server finally said hi to us but then another service swoop in and said hi I'm this and that I'm your server tonight if you need anything let me know...This server that swoop in to be our "server" hardly can be FOUND!!! But yet the first server who tried to say hi and be our server she's always passing by rounding her tables!!! I'm like why you even try to take on this table you hardly took care of us, we could have order more rounds but her service is slow and MiA! It was so annoying! I'm like how come the other server is so attentive to her tables and always passing by but OURs is MiA and I literally have to keep my head turning to make sure I see her or flag her but seriously can't be found!!!!! I know the place was busy and packed but if I literally can see all the other server passing by and I can't see her men there's a problem! Thank god for the good music and for that $17 spicy burger I forgot the name of it. But service is bad, our server specifically she's so attentive to other customers and I'm guessing a Regular which I understand but she shouldn't be neglecting the other customers... Ambiance is not bad has a small stage and the floor was small and can get crowded really fast when the band comes out. I sat at our table the whole time while my other group were at the floor enjoying the music... which I enjoyed the music from my table across from the bar... Security guy at the door that night was nice, the lady at the bar was very FAST making drinks and taking orders she never stops just keep going! We closed our tab at $206.68 plus Tip $24 we did the minimum tip because of how our server, I'm really disappointed with her service!!!!! I wouldn't even tip her the amount we gave her cause technically the guy assisted our table more than she did! He checked our table more often than she did.. All in all if they want to have minimum on the table they should advertise that have a sign on the table and have an Attentive Server that will treat all the customer the same and not just the regulars.. Cause trying to find your server and keep looking back to see if she's there's takes time out from the customer to enjoy the band and enjoy the moment...

In case anyone was curious about the culture difference between Las Vegas in the last 10 years and the sunset strip in the mid to late 80s, there isn't one when you come here. Posing. Primping. Attention seeking nonsense abounds. Overpriced drinks make you feel like you're in the midst of rock 'n' roll greatness, but in reality you're sharing a parking lot with a Hashhouse which, for the uninitiated, is nothing more than a Dennys that everyone's racist aunt chooses to overindulge on. Look. I recognize that there were few, small music venues when this place opened up. That's not the case anymore. The reality TV persona can't maintain something this obnoxiously overpriced and underwhelming for long. There's a reason cover/tribute bands are all that can regularly book. Scale back. Be the neighborhood venue and maybe you'll last more than 10 more years.

We all LOVE coming to Vampd. Looking at my phone pictures from the 12 months, we actually visited 12 times, always with at least 4 people, most of the times many more (up to 25 a few weeks ago when a large group from work got together) We reserve a table(s) regularly and we are aware of the table minimum ($50-$125, depending where at Vampd).Last night left a very bad taste in our mouth. In the middle of the Moby Dicks performance, a few people in our party had to leave early, so we asked for the bill at that time, so they could settle their part. Come to find out that there was a $125 table charge added to the bill. Very surprised, we asked our waitress Hannah if this was a mistake, since this is the first time (in God knows how many years coming to Vampd and before that Feelgood's) we ever saw this on our bill. She brought over a guy (manager?) whom I saw earlier at the door. Side note, this is the first time I've ever seen the individual. He claimed to be the guy who takes all the reservations and after asking him about this, he claimed that they've charging this for 2 years now. I called him out and said that we had two tables in the bar area a few weeks ago and we were not charged (there was a $50 table minimum per table, which was always the case) and the many times before. After some back and forth, he "knocked" off $75 off the table charge. After we paid, our entire party decided to leave since we all had a bad feeling from this experience. By the way, a few tables around us, were not aware of this "table charge" and also thought it was a table minimum. If this table charge is the new standard, please make it VERY VERY clear to customer since most likely the Vampd regulars are unassuming. As a matter of fact, we all paid a $10 entrance fee so actually the table would have cost us over $200!!!We could live with the rather expensive $10 beer prices, but Vampd's new policies & prices seem like they no longer want to be a locals hang out. We will definitely voice our opinion to Danny & Korie when we talk to him next. Will we come back? Of course, because Vampd is still our favorite place to watch some incredible performers.Patrick

I was very disappointed with my experience at Vamped. My wife & I were in Vegas on vacation from Texas last weekend. I witnessed behavior that was completely unprofessional and uncomfortable. An older male security guard was being overly flirtatious with a young female hostess looking barely 21, making inappropriate gestures and lingering around her workstation. Not only does the conduct look bad but also the age difference made my wife & I uncomfortable. Really bad look for the bar and simply gross. This is not the kind of behavior I expect to see at a professional establishment. It made the entire atmosphere feel unwelcoming. Management needs to address this issue immediately and ensure proper conduct among staff. Until that happens, I won't be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

After I found out Kevin Elder's Group, HUKL Investments, has taken over the culinary side of Count's Vamp'd, I decided to try it. After going to La Madre last year and Ciao Vino earlier in the week, I wanted to check out what Chef Lupe had in store for 'bar food'. It was a different environment as one can imagine with live music; however, there's a enclosed bar on the side with tables where you can listen to the music and have a bite. Most of the food was normal bar food; (pizza, chicken fingers, and fries which we tried); however, there was something on the menu called the 'homewrecker'. It was the most unique and flavorful mozzarella stick I have ever had. Once you have it, you will understand why it's called the 'Homewrecker'!!Unfortunately, I was leaving Las Vegas and some of the other nights of live music (i.e. Rolling Stones covers) was missed. However, I cannot wait to go back! Thanks all!
