Citrus at the Downtown Grand Pool Deck

The party pool scene in Vegas is a thing now. Pools have moved up in priority and designs and events are more extravagant. This pool area was well set up and offered a miami vibe. A large ticketed event in the evening offered festive music, lots of vibrant people and fun. During the day, it was quiet and peaceful. Best of both worlds. Enjoyed.

DO NOT MAKE SOMEONE CHECK THEir 2k Prada bag if you're going to let other people in with their nasty bags. I want to specifically call out the SECURITY MANAGER DOMINIC because he was incredibly rude and degrading, made me call him Mr. Dominic when I asked about my bag very nicely when I had already been using his name. This is all on video. I came by myself to this club. I asked very nicely about bringing my bag in which is basically the size of my phone. I was told no and to take all of my stuff out and carry in my pockets. There are no lockers. I live in Vegas. Absolutely ridiculous when people were let in with backpacks and larger bags - evidence in photos. I even talked to each of these women who said they had no problem getting their bag in, so why did I? I'm tired of being taken advantage of by security guards who have no idea what they are doing and can ruin your night over their own stupidity. I will never come to this venue again. I almost walked out the door when the bag check people told me they were surprised the security made me walk all the way back down stairs to check my bag. There was no line at the venue when I arrived early, no signage or messaging when purchasing my ticket for the event that this bag be an issue. This event even moved tickets to bogo because it wasn't selling enough as an example of how slow it was at security. I also want to surface that the only female security guard stayed quite when I nicely asked her to defend the size of my bag. I find it shocking you can be the nicest, sober person and still get treated like shit for an event you paid to be at. Absolutely unacceptable. I can get into every major club on the strip with a Prada shoulder bag. I hate to say it but this feels like discrimination against feminine males and thus homosexuals and does not create a safe space for LGBTQ. This type of homophobic culture needs to end in Vegas.

Tried out the pool at our hotel. The pool is very small and the way it's built above ground isn't easy to get into. The water was hot. Like hot bath water...gross. The pool was packed too. The music wasn't great. It felt better to get wet and then sit outside of the pool. There was no shade at all so you're literally frying up outside. We only stayed for a little because the pool closed at 6pm. How lame? It's Vegas and you close the pool early right when the sun is going down. Wouldn't recommend this pool.

Okay so I went here a few years ago for the basscon pool party in 2016(?) but more recently, I came here in April for Ilan Bluestone and it was okay.The sound system was terrible (not sure if that's Elation's fault or the venue's) and we had a better experience with the music sitting down in the back by the bar. Restrooms were super cleanThe drinks were kind of expensive with the slowest bartenders but the bartenders were very pretty!

A few friends and I recently came here over Memorial Day Weekend for a cabana. Finding the pool was a bit difficult, but they did have a couple of signs within the casino that helped. It's located on the rooftop of the first hotel tower, up the escalators and down the first hallway on the left. We ended up parking in the Downtown Grand self park garage and got our parking validated at the Players Club desk which was nice.The pool itself was nice, different from the usually 2-3 ft pools on the strip. It was infinity style and a decent size to accommodate everyone. Besides the pool they had some games on the desk area like beer pong, foosball ball and bags which was cool. Seating wise, besides reserving a cabana, it didn't seem like there was a ton of available seating and it was first come first serve. As for music they had a DJ who played the violin which was interesting. She played mainly edm and some 80's rock, fitting for downtown.For food and drinks the prices were expensive as expected, but not terrible. I ordered the Chips & Guac as an app for $12. The flavor was awesome and it was a decent portion. For a drink I ended up getting the lemon souvenir cup because I thought it was adorable. It was around $45 for the initial cocktail and $20 for refills. They also had bottles available for purchase, around $300 for a bottle of Grey Goose. (Much cheaper than Strip day clubs) They also had complementary citrus water sitting out for grabs and provided a fruit tray along with our cabana. Overall I had an enjoyable experience and would come back again.

Very nice great view small but ok if is not to busy.Few glass bottles from the casino found the way to the pool deck..Some people using cannabis products that can be smell from the other side of the pool ...Great pool concept..Cocktail girl friendly..

So I'll try to make this short but the situation has me baffled that 1. Our server tried to rip us off knowing we are local 2. The manager is an idiot and replied "that's how we do it here" ‍ his name is Ray Went to the "citrus" pool at the grand downtown.Our friend orders 2 dbl margarita rocks5mins In he accidentally spills one he tells the server who is slow AF at a dead pool btw and 15min later brings him another.We go to close out the tab she brings him the 2 authorized papers for him to sign she forgot his card and didn't bring him an itemized.He asked for an itemized and she was annoyed but got it along with the card she forgot. That's when we figured out her game she charged him 24.00$ + 3.00 bump each margarita And then to take care of the spill she charges him23.00$ We asked her about the spill again annoyed she says I have to get my manager I guess we can comp it and we asked the bartender while she was gone do u charge double the liquor and a bump for a double he said no we don't.Manager comes over and my fiancé starts asking him what's the standard charge for your doubles he said our doubles are dbl the liquor and cus it's a margarita it's a 3.00$ bump too for a 3oz pour We're like ummmm 3oz? The manager then ask his bartender what's our double pour? The bartender says 2oz. And we don't do dbl liquor and bump, manager tried to say well that's how we do things here. Wtf? Your bartender that makes all the drinks just told u what u charge and your disagreeing with him. He basically was telling us to fuck off and we could give a fuck that your local and he's totally ok with his server scamming guest. Hella rude and even yelled at us well good for u!

Beautiful pool! Very spacious, tons of seating along with private cabanas. There is a huge bar and area to sit and eat. They also have waitresses walking around taking peoples food and drink orders. It's a gorgeous space to hang out and enjoy the pool. The pool at its deepest point is only 4 feet. But very relaxing to sit at the edge and dangle your feet while drinking a cocktail or taking a dip into it. If you're staying here at the Downtown Grand hotel definitely take advantage of this rooftop pool! It's definitely worth it!!!

Yo idgaf where I'm at. Could be Scottsdale, Dubai or Old Town Vegas. 10$ for water is ridiculous. Absurd.

Great place to lounge pool side! Delicious food and good service! The hamburgers are bomb!
