This is a great spot for anyone craving a mix of Filipino and Chinese flavors. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, ( siopao and a taho) Jai and the staffs are really nice and attentive. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a full meal, Chowking is a reliable choice that never disappoints.

AgainIt seems that we always stop at Chowking to grab siopao. Why do we do this, when I can grab it at 7-11 back in Hawaii? Because we don't have Chowking back home. That's like Trader Joe's. You gotta go cause it's there. I never really came here much even when I was stationed in San Diego. I feel the food is average and they don't really have any specialty dish or meal. But all Chowkings are clean and friendly. Overall three stars. I like the place but it's nothing special. M

ChowKing - WTH.. what happened to this location?!Everytime we use our timeshare (twice a year) we see to it that we visit this place and every store here in Seafood City. And 8 years ago the food quality wasnt like this today- downhill deteriorated and it was disappointing. If I wanted to spend my $40 on a noodle soup/siomai and pork bun then Id rather go to an authentic Viet pho place.The taste isnt even close to ones in Cali (and we even just got back from a Phil vacation- our tastebuds are fresh way back from the motherland again)The beef wonton soup - small light chunks of beef (which doesnt even look like decent cuts of beef!), the wonton isnt even tasting like beef but mostly like fillers. The veggies included in it looks like scrap cuts.. you know I could live with the sucky quality of ingredients but as long as the soup/broth is still tasty but ITS NOT!!! your tongue will start going numb cause its so ultra salty. Yes, my descriptions could be so overly dramatic but if you want your blood pressure to go up then sip this salty puree. Im sorry but there isnt any taste of bone marrow to make it taste as a wonton soup like what its suppose to be. I ended up just eating the noodles and have to stop my wife from eating hers cause basically its a salt soup to me- ingredients wise its just pathetic of even taking a picture of it - let my words be enough and let all the other patrons attest and do their own reviews.Siopao - its the same. The asado was just too sweet- again its supposed flavor and taste wasnt there. The bola bola siopao is all fillers and chinese sausages - thats it! Same for the shumai - all filler taste. I wonder if they even know what a shumai is suppose to taste lawwd.Have you heard of Hen Lin - its another fastfood chain in the Phils that serves siopaos and shumais- please have someone bring that to Chowking management for an awakening.Seriously- Ill need to probably visit my family in San Diego to see if this a US wide issue and try one of our fave CK branch.I dont think Id be coming back to this branch.. not worth giving my business after seeing how bad the quality of food has become.. it sucks cause we like CK but this was definitely shocking for us.The crew is always cool. Always friendly and helpful.. but this is the first time CK here in Vegas didnt delivered. We are crossing our fingers that one day theyll open one in Houston but if this isnow the quality of food they offer - Id rather see them where they are at now.

I ordered the beef wonton noodle soup and chicken mami both noodles were overcooked. It felt like im eating laffy taffy candy. The texture was sticky (fake noodles) idk what noodles they are using. But it is like burnt plastic stuck together. It was gross‼

Located in the Seafood City. I frequent this area a lot because I work in the area. I wanted a soup dish so I ordered the Mami Noodle. It's made with chicken broth, noodles, chicken etc. I ordered it with no egg and yet it had eggs. No worries, I was able to take it out. The soup lacked flavor. I actually ended up throwing it away. This was my first time eating at Chow King and I was hoping to like the food. I'll try different dishes next time.
