Favorite food here is the sliced red bbq pork, it's almost caramelized in the sauce it comes in. The location is fairly sized, big enough for a 6 person gathering on short notice but best for groups 4 or smaller. The cashee chicken is a must try as is the fried rice combination plate. The best deal is the family meal which has multiple options for everyone's tastes. The service is to the point and friendly enough. We love sneaking off here, prices are excellent and the plates are HEAVY.

The last time we dined at Chow Mein House my blood pressure went up to 180 & I discovered they used MSG. So, we gave it another try 2 nites ago & requested that both dishes include no MSG. But alas! When we returned home I took the B.P. test & it was once again over the top! WHY SHOULD THIS RESTAURANT BE ALLOWED TO USE THIS POISON? I just printed out a full page on the dangers of MSG & espec. how it can quickly mess with one's blood pressure. So I believe the health dept. needs to be aware of this dangerous practice, espec. because Chow Mein doesn't even announce MSG on their menu. And no, we won't be giving CMH another visit.

Ordered delivery and was super disappointed! Our fried rice was missing. The sour dipping sauce tasted rancid. The portions were underwhelming! At $100 for 2 meals & 2 apps... I can say that was the last time we order from here.

This spot if far from the Las Vegas strip but DEFINITELY worth the drive!I found this spot on Yelp, looking for small family owned Chinese joints. May I just say, WE WERE NOT THE LEAST BIT DISAPPOINTED!The prices were amazing, and extremely competitive, especially to its counterparts on the strip and even in ChinaTown. Extremely friendly and quick service. A clean restaurant nestled within a clean strip mall of other restaurants and stores. Now for the food, the food, is HOT, well seasoned, clean, and utterly delicious!I cannot recommend the Chow Mein noodles enough. Nor can my husband and I deny the utter deliciousness of the Mongolian Beef and the Szechuan Chicken.. WOW!!!!Absolute melt in your mouth with a burst of flavor, perfection. We also needed a bit more so we asked for a side of chili oil/sauce and vinegar. The condiments added the perfect pizazz! -Highly recommend you do the same.We will definitely be back on our next trips regardless of the drive. A must Yelpers, a definite MUST!Cheers to small family owed businesses, may we continue to devour their tantalizing eats! Xx

1st time at Chow Mein House and it was very nice. The staff are friendly, the service is quick, and the food comes very hot. We got to the restaurant around 7, to which it was very busy. But by 8pm there were only a few occupied tables and the restaurant was quiet. We ordered the vegetable egg rolls, vegetable chow mein, and garden tofu. While you wait for your food, they give you a plate of fried wonton strips and sweet and sour sauce, which is so simple yet delicious. I would come back to Chow Mein House but next time make my food spicy since the food we ordered didn't have any spice. Thank you Kenny for taking care of us and giving us the almond cookies and fortune cookies.

I was stopping by to get some teriyaki chicken for lunch from a near by chain resturant and this resturant caught my eye. I decided instead to grab take out lunch since chow mein sounded good to me. I was pretty impressed with how fast my food came out, how reasonably priced it was, the friendly staff, and of course the food overall. They have a entire page of lunch specials all for about $12-13 and a very good portions of food. I ordered the mongolian beef with chow mein noodles which also came with egg drop soup and an egg roll. All of it was great and I definately was satified with my decision to get take out from this resturant.

Very disappointed I ordered honey, walnut prawns, and they served me orange prawns, and the waiter insisted it was honey walnut prawns, the dish they served had no mayonnaise in it and did not look anything like the picture, it was way too sweet , I've been there multiple times and ordered, honey, walnut shrimp, and what they served me was definitely not that. Will not be going back.
