Chip Off the Block Deli

Was looking for a place to go to for a late lunch away from The Strip after the UNLV football game. I chose Chip Off the Block Deli because I've always wanted to take my boyfriend here, but I kept blowing it off. And it's close to his house, too!This is your average neighborhood deli on Rainbow between Windmill and Warm Springs, kinda like all the delis you see inside of grocery stores, but they have their own seating area. They also sell a variety of those 'snack' lattes in bottles in their drink fridge, like Twix lattes and Twinkie lattes. Though I don't drink this kind of stuff out of bottles, I still found this interesting.There were so many yummy sandwiches to choose from that I couldn't decide what to order right away. Eventually I decided on The Hammy with everything on it (lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, pickles). My boyfriend ordered some turkey sandwich, but I don't quite remember which one he ordered. I think it might've been The Wishbone. Both of these sandwiches came with these unique-looking swirly fries.Because this is an actual deli, it took a while for the food to come out. I didn't realize how big our sandwiches were going to be after we opened them right when we got home. We both ended up having the first half of our sandwiches as our late lunch and the second half as our lunch leftovers the next day. This was a really good 'hammy' sandwich and I recommend this to anyone who hasn't been here before and are unsure what to order from here.I'm happy that I finally got to discover this deli. This will definitely be a lunch spot for us again in the future.

Within the Butcher Block, this sub shop delivers delicious sandwiches! "The Butcher Block" ($10.99) is packed with meat and cheese. They also have Doc Brown sodas here...root beer and cream soda are personal favorites. Unfortunately, on this visit, they were out of stock on a multitude of chip and drink options. The staff is always fast to both take and make your order. There are tables to eat there also.Bonus, if you are in need of some ground camel meat on the go, they have you covered there too! A great place for elevated dog food as well...literally for your pooch.

Came here after a hike and I was surprised at everything they had avaliable at their store. Various meats and sandwiches. The staff was friendly and the food was DELICIOUS!! wow! I got a turkey sandwich and it came with fries. So so good. Would recommend!

This spot is super local and just around the corner from my neighborhood. The had a variety of meats on the other side of the deli. From steaks, to wagyu and other various meats. The deli itself has some tables and i was craving an italian sandwich. The butchers block aka the italian was a hit. This looks like the most popular sandwich ordered on yelp. Service: quick and friendly. Ambiance: deli on one side, and a butchers on the other side. There are some dry rubs and seasoning on the other side if you are looking to bbq or just make dinner.

Driving back home (a long drive) and we wanted to grab some lunch. We were debating in-n-out but I really wanted a nice sub sandwich. I ordered the Clubhouse and my man ordered the Butcher Block. The customer service is super friendly. We were greeted immediately and he provided recommendations. They also have some fun specials. We split our sandos so I could taste both. My bf and I both liked the Clubhouse more. It almost had a sweetness to it with the cheese and the ham and bacon. Topped it off with some mustard. Huge sandwiches. 2 sandos and 1 chip only for $25. Bargain compared to CA prices. Parking was super easy too.

Found this place while I was in the other side I town, the staff was extremely nice and welcoming. I got the turkey sandwich and the sweet potato tots, the sandwich was my favorite. Best deli sandwich I've had in a long time. I hope they open the deli at the location close to me soon.

This place is great. They have a wide selection of packaged meats and then fresh looking seasoned and unseasoned meats behind glass since it's a butcher shop, and some of the freshest looking jerky I've ever seen before. They also serve hot food too. I had the smoked brisket sandwich with fries. It consists of perfectly smoked, super tender brisket, barbecue sauce and a bun, and the fries are these curvy "twister" fries and they're cooked perfectly, nice and crispy with a great seasoning. The meal was filling, everything tasted great and it was delicious. My only gripe was the sandwich I ordered was from the "specials" sign, and it said $12.99, but the girl rang me up and my total for just the sandwich was $18.41. Not sure if it was a lunch special price or if something was missed and I didn't call the store or try to go back because it's a long drive for $5. Beyond that small detail, everything else was great and I'll be back for sure.

Chip off the old block deli is a fully stocked deli with a huge variety of meats and cuts to choose from. My visit today, however, was for the restaurant portion of the deli. I had "The Brisket" which is a brisket sandwich made with Smoked Brisket with BBQ sauce served on a Garlic Roll and a side of sidewinder fries. The brisket sandwich was a d@mn good brisket sandwich, the fries were good, the service was fine, and the wait time was quick.

Great burgers, fast service. Excellent taste. Our go to burgers of choice. Highly recommend you give it a try. Occasionally takes a few rings for them to answer the phone because they are always full of customers. But worth it.

People amazing very friendly and the food mmmmI got the pastrami sandwich I'm a plain Jane person so I had special order pastrami, regular mustard, pickles, coleslaw on the side no thousand Island dressing .The best best pastrami sandwich In Las Vegas. Hubby had Brisket sandwich his was amazing too. Price just right for the portions. Plz try the who were they called sweet potato tots amazing. We will return again and again.
