A good overall first time here at China Mama Palace Station. We were craving China Mama and opted to try the location within Palace Station as we knew that the Chinatown location would be busy on a Friday night.A pleasant surprise, as we were seated within 20 minutes of putting our name down. The restaurant is very beautiful and very upscale and was a very good atmosphere. We ordered our usual dishes that we would at the other location and to my surprise they tasted almost identical which is a good thing. This location also serves sushi as well, which in my opinion is sort of out of place but the California roll we ordered did taste nice.I know a lot of people knocked the service here a bit, but the night we came in everyone was so friendly and nice. And our server came around frequently to ask if we needed anything. Our dishes were taken away promptly taken away as soon as we were done. So they are listening to your reviews!Overall, a good alternate location to come to just in case the one in Chinatown is busy and it's only a few miles away.

We've been to this location a few times since it opened. We were drawn to it because they actually take reservations as opposed to making people wait an hour for a table. The food is good, but a bit higher priced than the norm. We've had good service (except for opening weekend). Although, they do not serve complimentary Chinese tea. On our first visit it was suggested that I have the milk tea, which was $10. That's rather steep, but I was willing to pay it to have tea during my meal. During tonight's visit I was informed that they no longer carry that tea & offered me a few choices: peach (??), something I couldn't understand, & oolong. Oolong is typical Chinese restaurant fare, so that's what I ordered. It came in the standard Chinese teapot that has been around for decades in all of your favorite Chinese establishments. We got the bill and they charged me $18 for that tiny pot of tea to drink. Nope. I canceled all of our future reservations. We eat in Chinatown regularly and we will continue that tradition. This location seems to cater toward tourists since it's at a hotel. We are not tourists and will head back to Chinatown for our weekly nights out. $18 for a small pot of tea that is complimentary everywhere in Chinatown is not a sustainable business practice.

The first time we came was on Christmas Day 2024. We ordered crispy beef, fish fillet with ginger and scallions, peking jajangmyeon and stir fried Chinese broccoli with garlic. We sat at the bar and ordered since there were no tables available. Every dish we ordered was delicious. Rice does not come with the dishes and must be ordered separately. It took a long time for the food to arrive. We asked for a hot Jasmine tea and instead we got hot peach tea. We let the server know that it was peach and that we ordered Jasmine. We were told that it was Jasmine but that they would bring a new pot. Halfway through the meal we got our pot of tea. Half of the pot was filled with soaked tea leaves which we believe was in the pot for quite some time. The hot water poured into the pot made a very weak tea despite the amount of overused leaves. Something to note is that the air conditioner was blowing so cold out food got cold very fast! 2 months later we are back again! We sat at a table and ordered Jasmine tea. The response was something to the effect of "it will take me awhile to get it going".....then we ordered crispy pork with Mama special sauce. We were told they ran out and did not have that available. It was 3:30 pm. So, we ordered crispy beef again. We ordered braised beef noodle soup, sauteed mixed vegetables sliced fish fillet with pickled mustard. The person who took our order came back and asked us if we knew that we ordered two soups. She explained that the sliced fish fillet with pickled mustard was a soup. Nowhere in the description did it mention soup and it was not in the soup section of the menu. We removed it from our order. The teapot came half filled with tea leaves. It was so many tea leaves that the tea was actually very bitter. Every dish was well executed and very tasty. tea and menu issues could use improvement.

We are long time China Mama fans (original Jones location that reopened in 2025, finally. And Shanghai Plaza location). This one inside Palace Station is not on the same level food flavor wise. Location: Inside Palace Station casino. Huge space and fancy decor. Would be great for large groups. Service: Staff is attentive and got our food out quickly. But service can be uneven, as the table next to us that sat down 5 mins after us were still waiting for their food after we were almost done eating our 3 items. They ended getting the food to go. Menu: Simplified menu that seems to cater more to non-Chinese diners. A lot of my favorite traditional items are not served here. Prices also seem higher here. We got xiu lung bao and Beijing cold noodles with black bean sauce and fresh crab. They do serve higher priced fresh seafood. We decided to try Typhoon Crab, a house specialty. The spice is a loose "dry rub," making it hard to get on the meat evenly. Felt like it needed a wet sauce to take it to the next level. The plates are very fancy looking but completely flat (ie no lip), not an ideal shape to use with chopsticks. For me, I'm going back to original location or at Shanghai Plaza, I like the food and value a lot more there.

This place absolutely blew my mind!!! We stayed at palace station and decided to try China Mama out. Well, we went back 3 times!! Everyone is super helpful with picking out menu items and explaining certain things. Super clean and open concept. We tried the soup dumplings all three times we went because they were so delicious! I also tried a few pieces of sashimi and the Uni!!! Wow, talk about out of this world flavor. The uni tasted like your best day on the beach. We really can't wait to come back to Vegas to try more dishes.

I was anxious to try China Mama at Palace Station. I had been to the original Mama. One thing is certain, this will be the easiest place to park of their three restaurants. Taking the spot where Boathouse Asian used to be, the place is redone and looks quite nice.I came in before 5 and was seated at a 4 top. They weren't busy when I arrived, but that changed. As soon as I was seated, my server, Carlos, stopped by to leave the sushi menu and their wine menu. He got me water and gave me time to look over the menu. I had wanted to get the crispy pork but they didn't have any. Instead, I ordered the shredded pork with chili peppers. I asked if the dish was spicy and Carlos told me it was but they could make it milder. I assured him I didn't want that--I did want it spicy. In due time, the meal came out. The plate of shredded pork looked very inviting. With pork, scallions, chili peppers, and green bell pepper, it was a very tasty meal. There were rings of red chili throughout the dish and it had a good spiciness to it.During the meal, Carlos stopped a couple of times to check on what I might want, and all was good. His service was excellent.I am glad there's a new Asian restaurant at Palace Station. I'll be back.

This was my first experience with china mama and I wish I had tried the original restaurant but palace station is super close to where I live. We didn't make a reservation but the wait was about 40 minutes. The servers were a bit behind and the host let us know that they want to sit us when the service has caught up. The place was a nice vibe with plenty of tables. Our server took our order and halfway through we had a different server. We ordered the shrimp wonton soup, a sushi roll with soft shell crab on top, the sizzling beef, the lamp chops, and walnut shrimp.I hate to say that after eating here my stomach was hurting. We took most of the food home and I ate the rest of shrimp a day later and was sick for a whole day. I wasn't sure if I wanted to use the restroom or throw up. I think it was the shrimp. I can't even look at Chinese food for now but I do not want this to stop me from trying the original china mama. I have always wanted to try it but this wasn't the best first experience
