I came here on a whim with some friends, and I'm SO glad I did. I called in to see if they were able to still accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies and was more than willing! He sat us on a 8-top for 6 people so that people were able to eat comfortably! My friend and I decided to split the Mt. Fuji Pork Nabe which came with a MOUNTAIN of meat and cabbage, fish balls AND 2 appetizers with icecream. It was A LOT of food AND IT WAS SO GOOD. The seating was definitely promoted a "family" style sort of eating and I think it's more of an experience to share here!Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this place and will be back.

Chanko Shabu & Izakaya - 6 Stars If I Could! If I could give this place six stars, I would! The atmosphere inside was incredible--it felt like I was dining in Japan. From top to bottom, everything was such a vibe. Our server, Billy, was amazing. The service here is the most attentive I've ever received. We went for lunch on a Saturday, and there was no wait. Plus, they offer 20% off for locals on your whole meal--so there's really no reason not to go! Our bill came out to just $70 for two people with the ribeye shabu-shabu, which is an insane deal.Even the pots they use are unique--I've never seen hot pot done like this before! The ingredients were super fresh, and they really know how to cook their gyoza. I've had gyoza all over Vegas, but this was the closest I've found to how it's made in Hawaii. It reminded me of home.Honestly, no notes. Perfect execution. Billy checked on us at least 20 times, always knowing exactly what needed to be refilled without us even asking. Another thing I loved? They actually give you the right portions--so much sauce, rice, and broth. And because it wasn't busy, they gave us two separate hot pots so we could try different broths.Oh my God--this place has perfected the restaurant business. Best shabu-shabu in the world.

Empty when we came in around 8pm and plenty of seating. People soon filled the restaurant! We got the mount Fiji beef nabe set! Comes with sooooo much food (bc they gave us full plates of the sides instead of half as described in the menu!) The broth tastes like a shin ramen packet. It's nothing super great or special, but I do love shin ramen so I didn't mind. Think of this as fancy shin ramen LOL. The meat comes on a bed of cabbage. It also comes with fish balls and usually other ingredients but they had run out. The sides are pretty good too! A fun experience. Service was great. One girl running the whole restaurant. Would def come again for the vibes

Zion and Billy are our most favorite servers! We just found out the drummer is gone?! We are so sad! We've been coming for the last 5 years at least once a month. This is our stable date night spot. We always order the ribeye shabu shabu, it's exceptional! If you want an incredibly filling meal that's uber reasonably priced come here!

I decided to come here for an early dinner before heading to Enchanted Christmas. I'm not hungry since we ate at Bacchanal Buffet early this morning. We ordered Mt. FUJI pork nabe and senior mushi, even one serving each. It is a lot, not because we are still full from our meal earlier. The staff is welcoming, but this is probably not my spot for shabu; I would rather go elsewhere since there is so much selection around the area.

Chanko is my go-to spot when I want a low-key vibe. The ambiance is super chill. Honestly, I come here more for the atmosphere than the food.I like their carpaccio and takoyaki. Their Katsudon is also good. For $11, you get a good portion size. I tried their Seiro Mushi years ago when they first opened. It was a bit pricey but the presentation and flavor were great. On my most recent visit, I got the Cheese Tonkatsu, which came with rice and miso soup. Unfortunately, the tonkatsu wasnt great--the meat was tough and the breading was a bit hard. However, the miso soup was excellent. I also tried their corn cheese, and while the price was reasonable, the flavor didn't work for me--it was too garlicky and lemony. I love that they offer bento boxes for $15. I tried the Katsu Bento and it was good. Not the best katsu I've had, but for the price and the amount of food, it was worth it. Service is always great. Overall, I recommend this place.

Chanko Shabu & Izakaya is a beautifully decorated Japanese-style restaurant in Las Vegas, offering a delightful dining experience. The interior features wooden furnishings and soft lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A notable centerpiece is the large drum in the middle of the restaurant, adding to the authentic Japanese ambiance.**Service:**The service at Chanko Shabu & Izakaya is exceptional. The server was attentive and welcomed us when we walked in. Despite arriving at 6 PM when the restaurant was relatively empty, the service was prompt and efficient.**Seating:**We were seated at the back of the bar table, which provided a cozy and private dining experience.**Food:**We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Seiro Mushi (Steam Beef), two shabu shabu, skewers, fried oysters, and calamari. - **Seiro Mushi:** The high-quality beef and fresh vegetables were a highlight. Our server took care of the timing for the steam box, allowing us to simply enjoy watching our food being steamed and cooked. The beef was cooked quickly and to perfection. - **Shabu Shabu:** We enjoyed cooking our food at the table in a pot of simmering broth. The experience was interactive and fun, complemented by various dipping sauces that enhanced the flavors.Overall, the food at Chanko Shabu & Izakaya was excellent, with fresh ingredients and well-prepared dishes. The combination of attentive service, quality food, and a charming atmosphere makes it a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience in Las Vegas.

Hi! Sweet and simple! Service, ambiance and food!Service: The service was great! My server's name was Jing and she was so sweet! I came around lunch and it wasn't busy. I was seated right away and I scanned a QR code for the menu. Once I ordered, it didn't take long for my food to start coming. She checked up on me regularly and made sure I was good.Ambiance: This place is very lowkey and I love it. It's one of those places that if you're not looking for it you might miss it. The main seating is all around the bar and the place is pretty small and intimate. Probably not the best for big parties but a great spot for dates or small groups.Food: So I ordered the Mt. Fuji Hotpot Combo. I got the beef nabe for 1, tempura shrimp and baked mussel per Jing's recommendation. First to come out was the mussels. The sauce on the mussel was a bit sweet but savory just the same. It was a good balance and it came with a little lemon if you wanted some citrus. It was good with or without the lemon. Then the tempura came out and it wasn't your traditional tempura. It seems like it was more of a panko batter but the shrimp was crispy. It came with a shredded cabbage salad with dressing and a tomato. This combo also comes with edamame which I love.Lastly, the nabe beef is the main event and it's spicy tomato broth. Last time I had this dish it was pretty spicy for me so this time I asked if there was a way to adjust the spice. They were able to do half of the spicy broth and the fill the rest with another to help cut the spice. It is such a good amount of meat and veggies. For the price, this combo is sure to fill you up. Perfect if you just want a quick Hotpot for yourself or to share!I've come here twice and both times have been great. The service is great and quick, the place is lowkey and the food hits the spot. I can't wait to come here again!
