Quick - counter service, staff was helpful on recommendations, flavors, and expectations. They were patient with the questions and explained the concept. Most meats are mushroom-based. I love that, as it's not an over processed fake meat like Impossible.They use a variety of vegetables and flavors, the food is very "back to the Earth" focused. Food was very flavorful and delicious. Sauces are flavorful too.They have a cute patio and indoor seating.Loved the BOM Lettuce wraps. We also tried the signature bowl which my group loved.

The owner keeps paying Yelp to remove my review, I just keep reposting. Don't act like I was not a customer of this piece of shit restaurant! I gave them a solid five star review when they used to be plant based. They have some delicious mushroom based sandwiches that we ordered. Now that they're no longer animal free, Chagashit is no longer for me. The smell of their bullshit bison burgers fucking up an otherwise cruelty free kitchen turns is not cool. So many other places to go in town that don't serve up animals. Why would I bother going all the way out here again? They had a great thing going but fucked it up big time. I won't be returning again now that they are no longer plant based.

I'm not vegan. I'm not even vegitarian. But I love love love mushrooms. So, on a whim, I just searched "mushrooms" on Yelp and came across ChagaRoot. I was immediately intrigued. A place that serves mushroom based foods? Sign me up.The restaurant is not far from my work. I figured I could drive over on my lunch break, get some shrooms and head back to work. I took a few minutes to look over the menu and got some info from a lady behind the counter. I finally ordered a crimson something or other sandwich. Basically battered and fried oyster mushrooms with pickles, slaw and a beet juice srirachi aioli on a brioche bun. I also ordered a side of "mushroom seasoned" fries. Then I sat and waited. And waited. And waited some more. About 20 minutes in all. Seemed a bit long to me for a mushroom sandwich but there were several other to go orders so maybe this was a lunch rush.I was getting worried that I was running out of time on my lunch hour and I was going to be dining in. But my food came out and I immediately...was hit by panic. The aioli on this sandwich was made with beet juice and sriracha. That didn' set in until I saw the vibrant red sauce dripping off the sandwich before I even picked it up. I knew for sure that I would get this all over my shirt. Thankfully this made me mindful and I escaped stain free. And I made it back to work with 3 minutes to spare.The sandwich was good. Crispy mushrooms piled high. A little chewy as oyster mushrooms tend to be. The slaw and the aioli brough the bulk of the flavor. It all worked well together to make a rather filling sandwich. No meat - no problem.Then there are the fries. They were, well, fries. Potatoes cut slightly thicker than shoe strings. Lightly battered. Well fried. All in all, good fries. Nothing significantly different then most other fries. Honestly, I was trying to find the mushroom seasoning. Maybe my buds are off and I was only tasting spuds. Again, good fries but maybe not what I fully expected. There were a lot of them, though. A nice sized side for $2.50. By far the best price of anything I ordered.Service was very friendly here. There was a bit of an order number mix up that caused a moment of confusion. But they worked it out and everybody got what they ordered. The food was good but really pretty high priced. I get it. Specialty mushrooms cost more. But $16.50 for a mushroom sandwich is kind of a lot. This was a cool place to try and get my mushroom fix. I'm not sure if I will come by again any time soon but I would not mind trying one of the lower priced offerings like tacos or a Cubano sandwich. Both sound interesting. ChagaRoot's food as a whole is an interesting experience and one that switches things up from my normal McDonald's and Roberto's.

ChagaRoot is where we come when we're craving a burger. They're made with a variety of mushrooms instead of soy. Items tried and liked (so far):Chaga Mac Burger (discontinued-wish they would bring this back as an option) - our favorite. The patty is delicious and everything works well together. Chaga Smash Burger - everything is delicious and filling. Fries - they're good but I can only eat a few since they're fried and not baked. Planimal Fries (like In n Out): my daughter loves it, reminds her on In n Out. Service is always excellent. The employees are cheerful and helpful. Interior and exterior is cute and clean. Parking is plentiful. I highly recommend. I hope you decide to check them out :)

This was my first time coming here. I've wanted to eat her for a while. My experience was really good!I will start with the atmosphere. The dining area is spacious, nice window seating, and it has a very fresh welcoming vibe. The staff were smiling and seemed happy to be at work. Happy Staff/cooks =Happy Food. My order was the Chagasmash burger and the pink oyster tacos. The Chagasmash burger was ahhhhhhmazing! I can't believe I would drive past this restaurant and go to In-N-Out instead of stopping here. Their Smashburger is so incredibly good, if you like in and out or if your on a vegan diet and miss In-N-Out, then this is the burger that will satisfy that craving for sure! Regarding the pink oyster tacos, I really love the crunch of the oyster mushroom, the freshness of the tortillas, avocado, and the overall plating. But.... They were a bit dry and lacking acid, making them kind of bland. I think that these tacos could be so much better if it was accompanied with a salsa verde or limey crema (and add cabbage vs iceberg lettuce). The whole time I was eating them I was wishing I had some more flavor or a sauce to pour on it/dip them in :( I did get a side of the chipotle sauce, but it didn't make much of an improvement. In the future, maybe I will order them to-go and doctor them up at home, because I really like the quality of the tacos.This place is great and am looking forward to bring my friends for another visit!

Great food! Very supportive staff and super clean! Great mushroom protein. I'd come back to try something else

As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was so inviting and welcoming, the customer service and all the employees matter of fact that were visible were all smiling and looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. The food was crazzyyyy, we had the chili cheese fries, the cashew mac and cheese and the taco sampler and they were all sooo tasty.

Updated review here! The staff here is always so friendly and as a super supporter of local businesses, I appreciate their kindness. Came in to try the smash burger and boy it was delicious and hit the spot!!! The onions, cheese and sauce on this yummy mushroom burger was the biz!!!10 out of 10 recommend! I also paired it with the lions mane smoothie, holy moly cannnoli it was delicious! It's nice to have a treat but to have a healthy treat supporting local, a win win for all! Looking forward to returning soon and bring friends to convert them!

Love this place! I've been here before and ordered delivery quite a few times and always forgot to leave a review. Everything I've had from ChagaRoot has consistently been good and fueling. I love the fact that it's food that heals, we need more places like this in the world. They have changed their menu and added so many new items since the last time I've been here. The staff is alway friendly and has great energy. It's always very clean and cozy in there. There is ample amount of seating in the front of the store, towards the back, and outside! This go around I ordered the Chagasmash Burger with a side of Planimal fries, and a Shroomshred Chocolate smoothie. The burger which was packed with a blend of mushrooms was sooo good and had amazing flavors! The fries are always delicious. I usually get the chili cheese fries and decided to try something different. The planimal fries were really good, it was a play on in n out animal style and it was spot on. The chocolate smoothie is by far my new favorite thing! It's packed with an assortment of mushrooms and so much nutritional benefits! I am addicted! It was so good and so sweet to not have any refined sugar in it. They also sell chocolate and vanilla protein, mushroom extract tinctures, and they sell their own grown mushrooms as well! I purchased a turkey tail tincture and the chocolate protein powder because I was just blown away by that smoothie! Goes without saying that I will definitely be back.

Who knew that mushrooms could taste this GOOD and also be incorporated in so many types of ways!!?I didn't get any photos of the Mushies that we had, not the first time or the second time! Yes, two days in a row! We had to come back and get our Mushie fix before driving back home to Cali. I also got the kale salad with lions mane mushroom sautéed in garlic butter. Y'all, I didn't eat this until I got home, to Cali, it was so good! It had apples and dried cranberries in it. The dressing was a vinaigrette that was flavorful and delicious. Unfortunately, also no photos of the salad.We ordered and voraciously ate the oyster tenders, Chaga Mac burger, Bloomin oyster bbq burger, regular fries, and sweet potato fries.Y'all, everything was a 5/5. It was so delicious!The inside is clean, modern. They plan to start doing meal planning very soon, so go sign up for your weekly meals, you won't be disappointed.If I can get them to come to So. Cal, I would literally eat here everyday. But until next time Vegas...I WILL be back for some more.
