Castle of Cakes

Where do I start! My cousin and I had plans to get a cake for my cousins 30th bday dinner. We are from California so we had to plan to get one out here. Well, our plans fell through suuuper last minute. It was 645pm and the mall closes at 8--but most of the stores close at 7pm. We went there to return something and walked pass the bakery and the name caught my eye. I don't remember the woman's name, but she was so pleasant. I picked out the cake and she asked me what name I wanted on it. I was trying to pay and my card chip reader wasn't working.Time was running out as I still had to go return what I originally came to the mall to return. We asked if we could go return our items and come back and pick up the cake. She said yes!!! She waited for us!! That was hands down the best ever! That was so sweet of her to do. When we come back, she added glitter to her name and and around the cake! She said "I added some pizazz" I absolutely loved that! And so did my cousin. The gentleman who rung is up was also very nice as well. We had the cake later on that night after dinner and it was SOOOOOOO good. The cake was moist. Frosting was really good, not too sweet, and the cake tastes like it has a hint of almond extract or amaretto. Either way it was super delicious, and my cousin absolutely LOVED IT. You guys really helped us turn a bad situation into the most memorable one. Thank you! We come to Vegas quite often, and we will DEFINITELY be back.

Great cake classes very informative owner is very professional and kind would highly recommend this place learned so much.

This was the worst cake. We ordered a New Orleans cake for a birthday and it crumbled apart. You couldn't taste the chocolate and the icing was Betty Crocker quality. The owner, Sonja Issa making a replacement cake herself. An update will be provided if it is warranted. Oh, and she didn't even write Happy Birthday on the cake as promised. We will be sticking with Freeds.

Flavor was ok I guess. The customized order was great, they did a pretty good job of making it look like what I asked - but did kind of whatever they wanted on the inside. It wasn't bad tasting but it wasn't very good either - the beat i can say is it was ok.I feel like I paid for way more than what I got. If looks are what you are after and taste is second hand and you plan to pick it up yourself then this is your place - for $175.

Yet another Groupon alert. FYI - The Castle of Cakes location is actually :750 E. Pyle Las Vegas, NV 89183Me and my girls decided to try another girls days out with our Cupcake Decorating class. Not really sure cupcake decorating is for me, but it is a fun and interesting class if you have the attention span for it. There were plenty of stay at home moms there who have many kid's birthday parties to decorate for whom this would be much more useful for. They also have classes and Birthday Party / Cupcake Decorating parties for kids of any age that I would recommend. Definitely for a specific demographic, but fun and creative activity for all age groups.I can't speak to their pastries and cakes, but I had to say based on their samples, pictures and a tasting of some of their cupcake flavorsI wasn't entirely impressed by that aspect of the business. Stick with the decorating classes.

Needed a custom birthday cake ASAP!! And to be delivered while I was at work. This AWESOME place did it in less than a 24 hour notice. Thank you sooo much!!

I purchased this groupon waaaay back when, and I meant to use it when my family & I came to Vegas after my wedding, as a way of treating them to the little things I knew I wasn't going to be able to incorporate into my wedding (like cake pops).It was so crazy when we were all there (imagine six different families scurrying about), and away my groupon went, into expired-land.Months and months later, my husband and I are set on using up all of our unused/expired Groupons, in an attempt to not spend (much) on a Vegas trip we took. This was part of it, and a great part indeed.The lady wanted me to have fresh ones, but I told her we were only in town for the weekend. She tossed in a few extras, so that we'd know which ones were our favorites - and so glad she did. My husband loved the creamsicle (orange) one (no surprise), and my favorite was the vanilla one.We had all different kinds of flavors - berry, lemon, chocolate, red velvet, etc. A great variety of flavors, I'd definitely recommend getting an assorted bunch.Will be back again for sure!

We have been here multiple times on various playdates. It is fun for the kids every time and a good mommy-daughter bonding time. Twice we went during class times in a group but this time we called and set up a playdate for two girls alone. It was a big hit. They decorated 9 cupcakes with various pictures, using different colored icing they got to mix, sprinkles, nilla wafers, and even were able to place icing in bags to make more specific decorations. The woman who taught the class was good about taking pictures, instructing and demonstrating on their level and encouraging the teamwork. The only reason not 5 stars is all three times we did the same pictures which my daughter remembered, and she didn't like the taste of the cupcakes. But for the experience it is definitely fun. Maybe we should try the cake pops or fondant class next time.

I enjoyed my slice of Pecan Pie at this small bakery at the Maryland Boulevard Mall. I can't wait to visit this family owned business the next time I am back in Vegas.

We ordered cupcakes and they were so good. We got three different frostings. They even have some with filling! Definitely recommend them!!!!!
