Calico's

This was such an appreciative find passing through to Page from the Grand Canyon. Cool diner with great food and service. Bonus was the reasonable prices. They do have a full bar though the jalapeño cucumber thing I had was very sweet. For $6.99 I had to try it. The salad bar was a great surprise but even more so was the clam chowder on the bar. It was addictive. I had seconds. They have plenty of spicy options including fried jalapeños in the salad bar, which I used to top the clam chowder. Score!!Old school diner in the middle of no where on the way to everywhere. Light bright, average noise level, small gift shop and easy to make to-go orders. Service was great too. Our server handled most of the dining room without looking like she was hustling. Great place for dinner.

What's with hostesses who don't smile? When did that start? Our server was very nice and patient with our questions as it was our first time. It is obviously a local hangout which usually indicates good food. Unfortunately we did not find this to be the case. The special was beer battered fish. It looked so good when it arrived, but turned out to be overcooked and dry. I decided to add the salad bar with my order as I really love bean soup. It was ok but pretty flavorless. The bar was replenished while I was choosing my food but the person doing so only filled it up when it really needed a good clean up as messy diners had made it look unappealing. My husband ordered the liver and said it was good. There was quite a bit of banter with the servers and regular customers, so I suppose you have to be a regular to get that level of service.

The food is good. I have had several different menu items. Most of the food has been pretty tasty except the steak I had. It was very tough and tasted funky. I couldn't tell if it was the seasoning or what. The green beans were from a can. The salad bar is good. They shine with their sandwiches. Service is always great.Pricing is fair. I would recommend Calico's.

Our order was not only incorrect, but it was cold. When I addressed the fact that it was incorrect, she said well I'll just bring you another bowl of potatoes on the side with the proper gravy and I said what about the gravy that's touching the meat that's incorrect and she said wipe it off. The waitress I had was more than crass It only got worse from there. I don't wanna bash them anymore than this.

Oh my gosh, this place is my go-to! I LOVE this place. The staff is very friendly, the place is very clean. The food is amazing but unfortunately, I always get the salad bar. I always try to get something new but I really can't pass up that salad bar. It is always so good honestly whatever you decide to get there. You will not regret it all their food looks amazing and I do hear other people say it's just so good. I can't wait to go back I highly recommend it! You won't regret it See you soon

I came here for a hearty soup and the broccoli cheddar soup hit the spot that I needed at the moment. The waitress was very friendly and very attentive. I would come back and try different types of food.

Fast service, friendly, Good Food.What a neat stop! We were greeted immediately, full bar! Spicy bloody Mary yum! I had the southwest eggs Benedict. It did not disappoint. French toast looked amazing. Hashbrowns were requested extra crispy and came out 100% perfect! Dang, those were good!We can not wait to return and eat more of your yummy food. I gotta try that salad bar!

My friend and I were on our way home from Phoenix and decided to stop for lunch.Service was not great, our server started out friendly and then her attitude got kind of crummy and I'm not sure why.The food was mediocre at best. Probably won't stop here again.

The service was fine and the ambience is about what you'd expect from a restaurant in the parking lot of a Motel 6, and the prices were reasonable . Where they really fell flat was the food. Think underperforming Denny's. Not horrible, but disappointing. The got an extra star for the salad bar. Not that it was exceptional, but it was there. I'd probably stick with that if I ever went back.

Easy location, lots of parking. Staff was super friendly and provided excellent service. Extensive menu, everything prepared perfectly.
