Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

This location has definitely improved. Used to be really bad as always had issues there but have improved a lot as the food was fresh, had all products available, nice ambiance as the decor is also cute. Service by the team was really good but Pierce went above and beyond to take care of us. Very friendly, customer service oriented, helpful, smiles and made sure everything was ok. Would definitely go back.

What is going on?I have tried to give this location many chances and it never fails that their food is so subpar even compared to the centennial center location.The tortillas are hard, burnt, and small. The rice is always dry. The type of enchilada you'll get varies by miserable employees but you can bet they will put the least amount of ingredients in the enchilada.The customer service is always subpar. I can't even use the drive through because I need to see them making my food to try and get as much of my value as possible. Fair to say today was my last visit.

I visited Cafe Rio today at 2:30 PM, and I was the only customer in the restaurant. Despite it being completely empty, none of the five visible employees made an effort to assist me as I approached the counter. They were just standing around, seemingly disinterested. One employee, in particular--the bearded guy in the back--was leaning against the counter, on his cell phone, and playing with his beard. It wasn't until I began counting the employees and commenting that he finally looked up, put his phone down, and opened the oven doors, releasing a cloud of white smoke. This made me seriously question the cleanliness standards of the restaurant, in addition to the poor customer service.I was also disappointed to find out they didn't have any Carne Asada ready, even though it's advertised on the app. I was really looking forward to ordering a Carne Asada burrito, but just like the last time I was here, they didn't have any made.Considering all the new restaurants opening up in Skye Canyon, it's important for Cafe Rio to realize the potential revenue they are losing when customers choose to dine at other establishments, it would be beneficial for Cafe Rio to focus on tightening up their staff, management, and food availability to stay competitive and ensure a positive dining experience.

This place always has the worst employees. Everyone looks like they hate their job. AirPods in while helping you and just throwing everything with one hand into your order... with a side of hair. Hair was found in burrito, so thank you for ruining a meal.

It's a Friday night. There was nobody inside. There was nobody in the drive through at 6:00. There's a reason this place has 1.5 stars. I couldn't even find this location on Yelp, initially. I had to go on google to find the yelp profile.We ordered a salad. Why is the lettuce and cilantro literally rotting? It made me wonder if everything else in this meal was rotten too. I didn't bother to eat it.This place is so bad, it's comical.

We like to come here because they have amazing hand made tortillas as well as delicious sweet pork barbacoa. We have always been happy with our decision to eat here. The rice isn't great on its own, but if you mix it in the salad or include it in the taco it's good.

Service has been bad. Running out of food two and a half hours before closing. Shutting down drive thru early. This is constant. I'm not sure if management knows.

I feel like this cafe rio goes out of their way to mess up orders. We have tried ordering from here so many times and every time we hope its different and it isn't. Orders are always messed up or forget about items. I would be embarrassed if I was the owner of this cafe rio

This location has really turned around! I came here yesterday after avoiding this location for months, and I was pleasantly surprised. The food quality was great, the restaurant was clean and employees were friendly. A complete 180 from when this restaurant first opened. I will definitely be coming back now that they seem to have it together. 10/10 recommend

If I could give a "0" I would. This location has always given me problems with every order I make to the point that I stopped coming to this location and went to other locations that were not as close. I decided to try to give them another chance. Per usual my order was missing items and I had to return to retrieve the missing essential items to my meal. After I returned and requested the item politely, the missing item was just handed to me silently without an apology for the inconvenience. I tried to give it another shot but at this point I think I will save myself the trouble and go to other locations.
