Steve A. "Got some ramen and other Japanese food in Henderson at this unassuming place that's got a lot to choose from. It makes a good meal on a rare cool day around here. Umai Ramen has a pretty authentic menu. Even though it may not be that authentic. There's a ton of options for any preferences. Best place to get ramen around here. It's not a hot weather food so it's often overlooked when it's hot out. This should be given a chance though. Has a lot more than just ramen on the menu. Lots of choices for vegans. It's about $12 for a bowl. The Veggie Black Garlic Ramen is the plant based option. Hot stuff and a lot of it. This is a bowl of veggie broth with veggie black garlic ramen. A lot of good stuff in it. There's bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, black garlic oil, fried garlic, green onions, and fried tofu. Had a hard time finishing it. This was just too hot for the weather. Better to get when it's cooler. Thankfully I was able to get it all finished. Have to say this has the best ramen around. It's a simple menu with a few choices. There's still a few things to get for vegans and vegetarians."

Candice C. "This gem is located in the Chinatown plaza. We arrived shortly before they reopened for dinner and waited outside. Not long after we arrived, more people showed up, and a line began to form. When they opened, we sat down in the charmingly decorated restaurant. They serve Japanese street food, and the ambiance perfectly matches the theme. The menu features a selection of delicious favorites, and we ordered ramen and yakisoba. I enjoyed watching the chef prepare our meals as he added ingredient after ingredient to each dish. When we tasted the food, it was clear that all the different flavors balanced beautifully. The yakisoba noodles were firm and absolutely delicious. The ramen was also fantastic, but the highlight was definitely the savory broth. In other ramen places, I usually leave some broth untouched, but this was the opposite--I devoured the broth as if I hadn't eaten in days. On top of the delicious food, the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

The rich, flavorful broth paired perfectly with the tender birria meat, creating a hearty and satisfying bowl. The service was top-notch -- quick, friendly, and attentive, which made the experience even better. The seating in the restaurant is very limited, so make sure you set out some time to wait if you have a bigger party. Ask for the chili oil they serve on the side. It was so good that I ended up taking some home to add to my leftovers the next day. Definitely a must-try for anyone looking for unique and delicious ramen! I can't wait to come back and try more."

Vira P. "I know it seems crazy to want ramen during 100F heat wave (though it was 86F by the time we ate there). But soup on a hot day can actually be pretty yummy and get your body temp used to the heat. We got chicken gyoza, veggie ramen, and miso ramen. My miso ramen came with pork, chicken karaage, and gyoza. It was very comforting! I also found the greens to not be bitter, which was nice. The only problem I had was that the egg was very hard boiled. It would've been nice if it was soft boiled. But overall the miso was comforting, not overly salty, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. My mom's veggie ramen was perfect for her dietary restrictions. She appreciated the amount of veggies and that the broth also wasn't too salty. The gyoza were good, but I wish they gave us a lemon wedge instead of a slice. I couldn't squeeze any juice out of it. Service was friendly for the most part. They may have been short staffed and it didn't help that there was an issue with their ticketing system. But we weren't in a rush so we didn't mind the wait. The space is narrow, but there is an area that can accommodate maybe a group of 6 at the max. Otherwise, this place is probably best for parties of 2. And there are A LOT of signs. They must deal with many inebriated patrons or maybe just people being people. There are signs not to open the windows, not to bring outside food, to sign up on the wait list etc. So be sure to read everything when you enter. I think the total was around $50, which is really good for 2 people at a place on the strip. I would come back here again if I was craving ramen."

Keena E. "This restaurant is quickly becoming one of the new favorites in town, mainly due to the consistent quality of the broth and the affordable pricing. You know the economy is rough when two bowls of ramen and an appetizer costs $60 after tip. This is my experience with most ramen shops in Vegas nowadays which is the very opposite of what ramen is supposed to be, which is cheap comfort food that you can grab at any time. Not some "luxury" experience. Sojo has these prices beat, because my meal for a party of 2 here came out at around ~$45, for 2 ramens and a chicken kaarage. I also love this restaurant because it passes the MSG test. You know a restaurant overloads on the oil and MSG when you feel, for the lack of a better word, like shit, and you end up passing out and feeling drowsy for hours. After eating here a few times, it's safe to say that I can still adequately manage the rest of my day without taking a long nap. The server who was there, was very nice. He greeted me when I walked in and was friendly. I told him that I would order take out, but a little later on my lunch break, I was just coming in to look at the menu. He then gave me a business card and told me to call my order in so I wouldn't have to wait. Anyway, I called in my order around 6:30pm. The guy who answered the phone was polite and didn't rush me to order. He told be that my food would be ready in less than 10 minutes. I came into the restaurant, paid, and my food came out within 10 minutes, just as promised. I ordered the chicken fried rice and a chicken skewer. Both items were VERY good!! I will definitely be back to order again. The chicken skewer was a lot bigger than I thought. The chicken fried rice was very good, it had large pieces of chicken throughout the rice. It was chicken in every bite! Honestly the rice tasted so good, I forgot to add the soy sauce to it. I ate most of the rice and a few bites of the skewer before my break was over. I even took a 10 minute break just to finish the few spoonfuls of rice I had left. I brought the skewer home and put it in my air fryer to warm it up, and it was bomb!!!! I have nothing bad to say about this place. Service and food were excellent!!"
