Lotus Of Siam - Red Rock

Lotus Of Siam - Red Rock

★★★☆☆ 3.3 (859)

Michael U. "Already the rare Las Vegas recipient of a James Beard Foundation Award, Chef Saipin Chutima named Best Chef: Southwest in 2011, Lotus of Siam needs no introduction - though its recreation on Flamingo and fanciful digs at Red Rock have led to disputes about both the heritage and legacy of Lotus going forward.Having visited the icon of Thai Food several times prior Thursday evening found the concept from Tao Group owner Lou Abin at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa as busy as it is beautiful with improved service.Built out of former Buffet space, lanterns and hanging vines creating a vibe across spaces from bar to the back, it is with a truncated version of Chutima's Northern Thai traditions that Lotus at Red Rock pays homage to the original with service more appropriate to Summerlin.Requesting everything level five of ten, Thai Coffee and signature Riesling a prudent choice for those looking to quell the fire, Dinner began with hot Wonton Soup alongside Issan Sausage that is snappy, sour and worth every word of praise. Not forgetting better-than-expected Egg Rolls or Nam Prik Ong teaming with Chilis, Vegetables and Pork Rinds used as delivery mechanisms, Garlic Crispy Prawns continue to earn "Mom's Highlights" status with edible Shells still on and varying textures from bite to bite. All in on Noodles and Curry, Beef Pad See Ew well executed but lost in the wake of two styles of fried Rice, any residual grains are well-utilized in sopping up the Sauce from Crispy Duck Chu-Chee or Panang Curry with medium rare Ribeye."

"A mini cocktail lounge sitting astride the main walkway of the Wynn, this is a lovely place to relax and recharge from gambling and carousing. The cocktails are excellent, and in particular they make a fantastic Manhattan. You are secluded but can watch the world go by outside your table in the opulent Arabesque tent structure."

Rowena D. "The food speaks volumes! I know it's a sports book but you can have a nice group dinner and bring your kids to sit in a certain area. Appetizers like the street corn nachos, crab cakes, and charcuterie were not your common flavors you would not compare from a chain restaurant. I fell in love with the chicken corn chowder, chunky and not too spicy. I must mention the stellar service by Victoria , who knew the menu well and was very attentive. We appreciate the birthday desserts for our triple occasion ! I will surely return and bring new friends to try this spot."

Sara M. "Our group of 14 (in town for two big birthday celebrations) had a great evening and dining experience with John. He and his crew took excellent care of us as we enjoyed everything on the menu! Started the night with drinks and appetizers. The crispy shrimp with the spicy dipping sauce was my favorite.Dinner for me and the hubs was shrimp risotto (shrimp were so tender and flavorful!), lobster mac & cheese, French onion soup and the best Italian flat bread pizza with a spicy honey drizzle. Finished with the triple layered mousse cake with huge flakes of dark chocolate and shavings on top. It was AMAZING!!! Dinner was pricy but that's Vegas. It was a very memorable evening with great food and even better friends."

Sat at the bat and the bartenders were super friendly and we got to know them by name.We ordered some chicken tenders and cauliflower bites and they were good. Your typical bar food. Drinks were really good and definitely the right amount of alcohol. I got the Paper Tiger which is Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Ancho Verde Liqueur, habanero-spiced agave nectar, fresh lime, chile salt. Super tasty!"

They host Super Bowl parties, f1, march madness and any other major sporting events! They do have bottle service, so if you're trying to celebrate something and not go to a nightclub, I would definitely recommend this place!I do not think they serve food, at least I have never ordered from there. Overall a great place to have a good time to either chill or dance the night away!"

Margo L. "Margo here. I am a local 7 Star who does not cook, hence I more than appreciate great meals, outstanding service and the properties who take our rewards 1 for 1, in addition to the local deals and our daily $10 dining credits/drink certificate etc. Four of us had one of the best dining experiences in Las Vegas last night at Caramella in Planet Hollywood . Rosa (our server), Louisa (manager) and our bus girl formerly from Gordon Ramsays Pub Grill were not only caring but allowed us to truly take our time to savor all the Italian dishes! For appetizers, we shared the calamari and tuna tartare! They both were outstanding in texture, flavor and uniqueness! For our main entrees, we had the pork (absolutely my favorite that night), cavatelli pasta (made in house), the filet, chicken Parmesan (my daughter's favorite and huge. We loved them all! For dessert, as we were celebrating my friend's birthday, we had their cheesecake which is a foot long (truly a delicacy) and the dark chocolate salted caramel tart a must (see photos). My daughter and friend said the drinks were not only satisfying and generous in size but we were able to use our drink coupons. I will be back often and we will be reviewing Pinkys tonight for my other friend's birthday! The ambiance is perfect (red and warm inside) and when the weather gets warmer, the outside dining will be a delight! PS. The potatoes with mushrooms au gratin another must have as a side dish!"

Gayl B. "This place extremely hard to find! We were attending a wedding reception here at about 8:30 p.m. on a Friday evening. Used my phone's google map to get us here, but then it was like "where is it?" Finally, I ran down the steps to find the place and noticed just golf carts down there. Not the easiest place to navigate with the 95-year-old with me! So, my aunt and cousin were let out and the hubby and I went to park the car in the parking garage and find our way back (partly in the dark). The reception took the entire second floor, but it was so smoke filled. We spent most of our time on a cool little balcony off the main room, but the heavy smoke was also drifting up from below us. The concept is really cool (and I'd like to have seen the hidden room behind the bookcase that others have mentioned), but it appears that Nevada hasn't really got the message about smoking that was sent several decades ago."

Teresa L. "A new lounge addition to Vegas except this one stands out from others because of its car theme. It's a great place to hangout with friends especially during late nights. It's conveniently located in the corner of the plaza next to Baskin Robbins. You can't miss it with its giant neon sign on the exterior windows. There's plenty of parking available. They have a wide variety of beers, seltzers, and soju to choose from. If you're looking for something sweeter to drink, they also offer different flavors of soju yogurt cocktails (honeydew, strawberry, original yogurt) which is my favorite to get. Their karakuchi curry is a must try! You can customize with your preferred spice level and add in sausages as well.Overall it's a neat place to catch up with friends whether it's with hookah, alcohol or food."

Jowanna M. "I'd really like to give them a better review, but sadly, I can't. We visited for my husband's birthday, to get a fun night out. Sadly, they were excessively understaffed. The hookah/busser was acting as a server. Ther bartender was waiting tables. It was a whole mess. We ordered loaded fries with steak, no tomatoes. It came loaded with tomatoes. We sat so long for that one food item that they refilled our hookah and gave us free shots, but it wasn't enough. We won't be back. I really wish it had gone differently - better, but we weren't impressed. We know that we'll stick with Paymon's from now on."

Phil H. "Wow. I never experienced this place. And I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. There's a place to buy cigars in-house. With a great humidor. Smoke them right there after you buy them. Parking is plenty, and free parking is near the streets perpendicular to it. Well, for now, as it's all building up that part of town. The venue is kind of hidden, but that makes it great. Drinks were expensive. I paid $30 for a single old fashion. Out of my price range. As neighboring bars charge half that, and I can tip better in the long run. And get more for my money. They have a DJ most times of the week. Plenty of rooms and private rooms. It's well light. Seating is comfortable. It's clean. Inviting. And well ventilated to the point my cigars do stay lighted. Perfect place. Bartenders are spot on. A very tasty OldFashioned which says why I was charged premium. Not bitter, but honey whiskey. Wow. So that made up for the charge. Talk about a good time. I'll visit this place again and frequent the location downtown more often."

Drew B. "Arabesque Lounge -- located on the lobby level of the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa -- was a pleasant surprise. I have been to many a hotel, and interior hotels are a usually a recipe for mediocrity. You see, Lake Las Vegas and Henderson NV are something of an anomaly. Maybe it's because they expect most people mosey down about 20 miles to the LV strip, but there is an unbelievable shortage of restaurants. I mean, I waited for more than an HOUR to eat some mediocre Mexican at Juan's Flaming Fajitas (read all about it here https://bit.ly/2UU8kEa). Long story short, you may have to eat at the hotel out of necessity ... but that ain't a problem. First, they make a great cocktail. Even in the bastion of watered-down drinks known as Happy Hour, Arabesque's drink packed a punch. For an appetizer, we tried their Smoked Chicken Quesadilla: Cheddar, roasted salsa, green onions, a generous slathering of sour cream, and fresh chicken, all on a crisp, perfectly browned flour tortilla. The yums continued with my Turkey BLT. While the ingredients are pretty-much self explanatory, the crispness of all of the well-stacked parts, the perfectly toasted .... uh .... toast, and the lovely blend of their Lemon-Mustard Aioli made for a top-tier BLT. My wife's Rib Eye Steak Sandwich was excellent, and a must for lovers of Rib Eyes and caramelized onions. And yes, we got dessert: Their decadent, rich, smooth Chocolate Mousse is a must-have. You'll definitely pay a premium for staying in, but boy, Arabesque is worth it!"

One of these guys could entertain a crowd for an hour. 12 is acoustic overload. Also the place is always balls to the wall crowded. Tough to find a seat. The Palms should find another venue in their large casino for the Howard Stern show comedian (Howard Stern?? that's so 1998?) who performs here on weekends and let a couple of these guys play. They rock. Let them rock more, Mr Maloof. And let the 90s go sir. They no longer belong in your casino in this day and age."

"Upscale Asian restaurant & nightclub located at Tye Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, amazing food, or as they like to call it "Elevated Asian Dining", a great place for a birthday celebration, a date with a special someone, or just to have fun with a group of friends. As soon as you walk in, You'll be transported to a place not like any other in Las Vegas, it's truly a Pan-Asian experience, KOI ponds, gardens, and 20ft Buddha statues, and hospitality to match. Unlike other overhyped and overpriced LV restaurants, the ambiance is amazing, food was a culinary treat, delightful Hong Kong, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai inspired dishes, extensive menu includes delicious Dim Sum, Gyoza, Potstickers, Peking Duck Spring Rolls, Satay, Crispy Pork Bao Buns, Lobster Wontons, Tempura, Nigiri Sushi and Sashimi, Grilled Wagyu Ribeye, Pad Thai, and more, don't forget to leave room for dessert.Lavish, exciting, and extravagant but also intimate, a gem in a sea of expensive and forgettable Las Vegas clubs and restaurants."
