I had been here before and was looking forward to my second visit but after this one, I likely won't be back."

"L&L Hawaiian BBQ was a popular option for Hawaiian BBQ when I worked in Silicon Valley for a startup. So I was happy that they also have locations in Vegas when I first moved here.Can't say that I frequent this particular location often, even after moving to this zip code about 4 years ago. But recently I been ordering takeout from here, because they are open later than the other spots I used to go to, before my work schedule changed.Anyway, I pretty much just ordered their Hawaiian BBQ Chicken and the occasional poke (just 1 option), and it satisfies the crazing in an emergency, without having to drive too far out of the way. Plus Mochiko Chicken is off the menu and only available on their catering menu.Portion is decent. I like their Mac Salad. Price is lower compared to their nearby competitions. Recently I found out L&L have an app for earning reward points and downloaded. Their app game can use a lot of improvements, plus a major drawback is not all locations have signed up for ordering via the app or earning reward points (this location either opted out or has yet to signed up as a participating outlet). I might frequent here more often once they join the app bandwagon.This location is small, but never seems to be too busy when I do drop in. So wait time for my order is very minimal. The cashier seems nice, and the cook working in the kitchen seems to be pretty efficient. A-OK in my book."

One of my work mates from Guam from years ago brought this empanada at work one time, and since then, I have been hooked and always get the craving for the crunchiness and the deliciousness of these, and when I do, I could not help but drive myself to Henderson to get em!! It's a must! Of course when I go, I end up getting other stuff, I got the fried shrimp Nene plate and the banana donuts, LOVE them!!!!! I wish they would have a location closer to the southwest side of LV!! Service was great!! A highly recommended place and a must have!"

"Been to Sookdal twice now -- once for lunch and once for my birthday dinner. Honestly, Sookdal is probably my favorite KBBQ restaurant now that is a la carte. Their quality is amazing and I don't think I've had something that I did not like here. We've tried:Sookdal Signature Combo with bone in short rib, wet-aged pork belly, short rib, marinated boneless short rib, spicy risotto, kimchi jjigae, steamed egg, and grilled cheese.Sookdal Beef Combo with brisket, short rib, marinated boneless short rib, cream risotto, kimchi jjigae, steamed egg, and grilled cheese.Sookdal Pork Combo with wet aged pork belly, wet aged pork collar, pork jowl, marinated pork collar, spicy risotto, seafood soybean stew, steamed egg, and grilled cheese. Naengmyeon - cold buckwheat noodles. These were solid. My favorite cuts of meat were all the wet-aged pork ones (pork belly/collar). They had exceptionally good flavor and was great when you ate it with the sides and rice. I wished they had pieces of romaine lettuce for me to wrap everything in! While their beef was good, I didn't feel like they were the star of the show. Some pieces, depending on which ones, actually had a chewiness to it. While it's weird to have risotto in a KBBQ restaurant, theirs were very delicious. It was creamy and flavorful! But be sure to eat it while it's still warm -- that's when it tastes the best. Both of the soups were good but be sure to have them while they're still hot/warm. When they're cold, they're not great. They go great with rice too so be sure to have it with rice! I loooooved the grilled cheese. It came with a honey dip and it was delicious. It reminded me of a street food in Korea where they grilled cheese and topped it with condense milk. The service is great as well. They cook for you so you don't have to worry about cooking. Since it's a la carte, it is full service! It can get busy during dinner though so it may be a bit slower since they have to cook for everyone. I would definitely come back and would recommend!"

Yes that goodThe staff were beyond courteous and hospitable. Everything is made daily so you know your getting fresh quality. Banchan consisted of standard napa kimchi, cucumber kimchi, radish kimchi, fishcake, and potato salad. Service was good, they came by often to change out the dirty grill. When we ate there, it was day time with no wait, and they did not strictly enforced the time limit. Meat quality was good, but as expected, not quite the same level as a la carte places."

"Our new favorite!! We went to Master Kim's for our daughters birthday. Upon entering you could tell how popular the place was, the lobby was packed. Thankfully we had reservations and were seated quite quickly by the robot hostess. I believe all seating is booth style, and our booth was large enough for 6 adults and a 2.5 y.o. toddler.Menu is easy to read and it's a no brainer to get the All You Can Eat for $28.95 though there are plenty of options. Our whole table opted for the ayce brisket and bulgogi to start. The banchan (small side dishes) came out quickly along with the rice.The meats came down a conveyor belt which you take and start cooking on the hot metal grill in the middle of the table. We ordered some side veggies and cheese/corn which came out sizzling hot. We also ordered Kalbi which were huge pieces.My brother and I were laughing saying we were glad we weren't the ones who had to clean the grills with all the caramelized burnt stuff on it.Service was okay, it's pretty hard to hear because of the noise level. We did have to reask for a couple of things. Other than that, the bussers come around to take your empty dishes and to get you a clean grill if needed. There are plenty of other meat options other than beef and many many side dishes to choose from.We brought our own birthday cake which they stored for us and gave us a cake cutter to use.Children under a certain age/heighth eat for free.Reservations highly recommended and go with an empty stomach."

I got a two meat plate with 1 side. Which comes with a small soup and kimchi. The meat I chose was bulgogi and Marinated KFC. Both were 10/10. My choice of side was japchae. It was very nice, not too sweet. You can also do half and half if you'd like. The brown sugar bingsoo is from the second time, shown is a sample size. It was also really good. I also got a bulgogi Kimbap roll which is a separate entree. Again, loved it.I did see other reviews with bad ratings because the marinated kfc wasn't labeled as spicy, (which I found to be a little ridiculous because it's amazing). However, to whom it may concern, it and other menu items are labeled as spicy now. We love a business that listens. I personally will be returning and I highly encourage you to try it!"

I work all over town, and when I'm in a different area of town, I go to yelp, to see what business are in the area. And I saw this BBQ spot. So, after work, I decided to go and check it out. So I went for the ribs, they also have a happy hour from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and they have discounted items. I missed happy hour! So after I ordered, I sat down, and me and the young lady chopped it up! Then, John, the owner came out and we chopped it up. He also let me know it would be a few more minutes. It didn't matter, I was off work, and just heading home. He brought my food to me, and said he made sure it was hot, since we talked about my ride home. (that was so sweet) I really wanted to tear into it, in the car, while it was really hot, but I waited.....But when I got home, you best believe, I tore it up! I forgot to put the BBQ sauce on it. It was tender, and just pulled away from the bone. After I ate 2 of them, I dug, in the bag, and dipped it in the sauce, it really kicked it up a notch. I'm extremely satisfied with the ribs I got. This will be my go-to BBQ spot. I'm looking forward to trying other items on the menu in the future."

When I tell you we were pleasantly surprised! My goodness!! The flavor in that gumbo was ! The fish was fried to perfection! The greens, wings, ribs, and waffle were also phenomenal! Surprisingly, the missed opportunities were in the pulled pork, yams, red beans & rice, and mac & cheese. They weren't horrible, but it was basic. Some flavor adjustments can easily put those items in pros column. But overall, it was great and we look forward to returning soon to try their breakfast options. In particular the shrimp and grits. "The only food items I have gotten from this place was their whole roast duck and whole ginger chicken. Here's the thing with this place... it isn't very busy so I think sometimes their food is old. Be mindful before making your purchase.On my most recent visit, it was Thanksgiving day and our family wanted to get a duck and chicken. My go-to spot was absolutely packed!!! We had the duck at 888 BBQ before and enjoyed it, so we decided to stop by. There was a customer in front of me and we started talking. Then he commented that the bottom 2 ducks were just brought out and they looked super juicy! So I decided to get one of the "fresh" ones and a whole ginger chicken. The roast duck here, for my taste, is on par with the other spot i usually go to. My dad really likes it, but as I said before, it is hit or miss on freshness. I too think this duck is pretty tasty.The whole ginger chicken comes with 2 small containers of ginger & onion sauce. Let me tell you, the 2 containers that they give you are NOT enough! I wish they gave 4 with each order. However, the chicken itself was moist and tasty. The chicken was brined, which really gave it a nice flavor when eaten without the ginger & onion sauce. Overall, we enjoyed the duck and chicken and had a wonderful Thanksgiving."

"Just want to previse this review stating that I've been to Houston TX and the surrounding areas and tried real authentic Texas BBQ...And with that being said, this is not it to an extent. It's a really good replica but does not quite reach the bar. Let me start with the good first though:1. The service was excellent, I wish I could remember the waitresses name, but she was very nice and took the time to explain everything we wanted to know. The staff is excellent.2. The mac and cheese and corn bread were very good; we order more of both.3. The ambiance was really nice as well; it was very fitting for a good bbq joint. You feel very comfortable when eating inside.Now the bad:1. The brisket was a little dry, unless you're eating the fatty end, it missed the mark. The flavor also just was not really there, maybe we just got slices with very little bark/flavor.2. The sausage was extremely smokey. We honestly could not finish eating all the sausage because the smoke flavor was too overwhelming.3. The price. "Holy cow" was it ridiculous. I don't care if managers say, "it's market value", they are full of it. For what we ordered, it came out to around $92 for TWO of us. For that amount of food in Texas would be $35+ less.Honestly, is it the best Texas bbq here in Vegas, probably not. Is it better than a lot of other places claiming to be the best? Yes. Take this review with a grain of salt, I'm not trying to upset anyone or claim I'm some impressive food critic. I honestly think I was ruined to Texas bbq here in Vegas after eating actual Texas bbq over there."
