My review is mainly going to focus on time during the pandemic and finding holiday things to enjoy so yes folks if you're reading this in the future my review is a 5star during the 2020 pandemic.I've been here before but never reviewed the actual city but tonight i'm reviewing it, why? because of their holiday lights where they give you cool houses decorated for the holiday .Here is the link:https://www.bouldercity.com/holiday-lights/some houses go "crazy" with themes and lights and others are trailers to lego it mansions but it is free and a good guide to find places without long waits which everywhere I normally go has required. I went tonight (Saturday 12/12/20) the only home on the list with even too much of a crowd is the first one but we continued on to various houses on the list..Such fun and small town feel vs Blinding lights Vegas vibe..Boulder also has Hoover Dam close by, lots of awesome craft fairs pre covid and I have a review for the monster museum on here somewhere plus some awesome parks..Overall this place has me feeling good and if you visit I hope it gives you the same vibes too!

My partner and I were in the mood to explore outside the strip since we are new to Las Vegas. We had heard some great things about this little town and we decided to go on a saturday. The town is so cute and full of history, if you have gone to the Hoover Dam then this goes right along with it. We had a chance to go to the museum in the hotel and look around the antique stores which are just the best. We had breakfast in a cafe in the downtown area and had a great time seeing the visitors come in. It was easy to get there and parking was plentiful, everyone was so nice and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and do some outdoor activities and explore some more.

Mood - something different Boulder City is filled with so much history and different activities. Even though it is only a short 30 minute drive from Vegas it is a completely different world of its own. This city was built for the workers who were brought in to help build The Hoover Dam. Back when the Dam was being constructed alcohol was prohibited within the city limits. There is a outdoor museum towards the end of Boulder Hwy in Henderson, that has some of the original houses that were built for the people of the city. This is a full functioning community filled with its own groceries, restaurants, parks, airport, the lake, hiking, and entertainment.A little known fact about Boulder City - gambling is illegal. Funny I thought. Would def recommend a little visit if you want to escape Vegas, or experience a new place. Location 95 south
