Bonkerz Comedy Club

Must be seen to believe it! This Thursday evening show takes place in a small showroom inside Addison's Lounge within the Rampart Casino. It's free, and that alone is a reason to attend. Show starts at 7 and runs for an hour. There is usually more than one performer, and sometimes even 3. There is limited seating in the showroom, probably a capacity of around 40. No cover charge, no drink minimum. Also no large audience. I've not seen more than about 15 people attend the show, which includes some sitting at poker machines at the bar. They have some good comics at Bonkerz, both local and many from LA and beyond. The showroom is open to the casino, and some noise from drawing announcements and sporting events on TV may seep in. It's the only live comedy show in the immediate Summerlin area that I know of. Check it out!

We visited the new Bonkerz showroom at the Sun Coast Casino in Summerlin. We had gotten free seats from our subscription to House Seats. Apparently the entire audience had the same free seats as we had.None the less, we expected to see an array of accomplished stand up comedians, like our many visits to the Comedy Cellar at the Rio.What we got at the Bonkers show was performers who had no business being anywhere near a stage. These people had no act or preparation to perform in front of an audience.From the pitiful warmup act of Warren Durso to the headliner? , Grieg Salarno, the evening was a laborious disaster.I would make one suggestion to the owners of this corporate comedy company. If you want to stay in business, you have to spend money on talent. What you presented was an embarrassment to Bonkerz and a disgrace to your landlord Boyd Gaming.In Summerlin, you don't get to put out a bad product and expect to be there very long. It doesn't take much to lose the folks in Sun City, even with free tickets. Think of he Canters Deli experiment at Tivoli Village across the street. They lasted six months.

trying so hard to like this place but been opening nite and this past sat. to be blunt both headliners were so embarrassing bad. I love the room .. classic vegas with scalloped booths.. the prices appear fair but tktmaster adds too much handling charge.. not enough servers..no one came to our table .. ( dont clubs make money on liquor? ) emcee was ok next two adequate but last comedian the supposed headliner heard crickets. room was so quiet. it was painful too watch. please audition your acts!
