Bonkerz Comedy Club

So fun. I have taken friends for a night out. I plan to go back next weekend. Not sure what else to say... had to have 85 characters. Just go see a show!

We received a call this week offering free tickets to the show so we gave them our name for 5 tickets. They said nothing about first come first served. We showed up an hour before the show was to start and sat at a table without names. Then 10 minutes before the show started we got kicked out. They said people got there at 4:30 and reserved the seats. He said they over sold the show by 50%. Other people were being told the same thing. This is horrible marketing!! Will never go back if this is the way they run it.

I've been here on multiple occasions and even though it's tiny and the audience is also tiny, the comedy is usually pretty good. We've seen a different comic every time, usually a warm up and then the "headliner". Some are better than others. This "club" is actually sort of just a room - maybe it used to be a storefront? - along the corridor between the casino at Primm and the mall at Primm. It's wet up with tables and chairs, but it's pretty ratty... as our comic last weekend pointed out, they may want to consider vacuuming the carpet.A waitress will come from the bar and take drink orders, but you can usually bring your own in from the bar (or your room) yourself.Overall, it's something to do besides gamble on a Friday or Saturday night at Primm and it's free. It says free with players card, but I've never been asked to show my card. Maybe because they assume everyone has one or maybe because they just want some people in the room!It would be nice if they had an 8pm show on Saturday's, too. Friday is 8 & 10:15. Saturday is only 10:15. I'd rather hit an 8pm show so I can then head over to Whiskey Pete's to catch the Whiskey Band!Anyways, for free... it's a total value.

I recently was invited by Bonkerz to enjoy free tickets to their club. I invited two guests. The show was for 8pm. I was told via text I was confirmed. We arrived at the door at approximately 7:50pm.We were turned away because they had a full house But, we were confirmed! They told us paid tickets get priority. I repeated, we were confirmed! They asked, didn't you read your ticket? I said, we were invited via text and were told we were confirmed! Nothing stayed about getting there early. They said we had to be there at 5 to claim our spots! 3 hours??!I doubt we will ever return.We went across the street and rocked out to a fun local band called 11-11.
