Best Friend by Roi Choi was great. We made a rez for 8:30 pm and were seated promptly. It was a Tuesday night but the place was packed. I like the decor of having a 90s convenience store in the front and full restaurant in the back. I had read a review of someone complaining about the music, and I laugh. I loved the music, it was throwback hip hop from the 90s. What's not to like?!Anyway, the food was delicious. My least favorite item was the bulgogi tacos. We could have skipped them. They weren't bad, just not that interesting and we ended up with too much food. That one I would not order again. Otherwise loved all other dishes. The star was the grilled fish in a savory soy based sauce. It had pickled onions, peppers, and loads of cilantro. It was so fresh. Our neighbors seated next to us saw we ordered it and said they love the dish, they said to order some tortillas and make fish tacos with them. But then they ended up just giving us a few of their tortillas which was super nice. And they were fully right, it made an excellent fish soft taco. I also really liked the slippery shrimp. I had to stop myself from eating all of it. The hot pot with pork belly was also tasty. The soft boiled egg was cooked perfectly, I love that style of egg. I would have liked to order something from the "dranks" menu but I wasn't ready for alcohol after the night we had before lol ;) next time! I would definitely come back and try some other items and some dranks, enjoying the LA, 90s hip hop vibe.

First off I would give this spot a 4.5 stars if that was an option. The atmosphere in the restaurant is amazing. Loved the live DJ and the upbeat music he played throughout the night. The food was similar to stuff you can get in most K-towns with the Vegas markup. Food was really solid but nothing amazing. Kalbi, Kim Chee Fried rice and shrimp were the highlights of the chefs tasting menu. The service was where things were just OK. The food came out sporadically and there were big gaps between getting dishes. We ordered slush drinks but they were really watery. Would definitely comeback again.

Not sure how I feel about this place. We made 8pm reservations for a Friday night but couldn't wait - - we were hungry - - so headed over early to see if we could get a table. Hosts were super friendly and told us we could sit at one of the high top tables near the bar, so why not?! Our server was great - - actually maybe a little too great and a little too slick - - but he gave us great recommendations, helped me with my dietary restrictions and we thoroughly loved our meal. Drinks were delicious, service was friendly and relatively quick. They were super speedy with the check when they realized we were done. I'm not surprised- - the place was packed. At one point, I walked into the main dining room to get to the bathroom - - super long wait there - - and was actually glad that we opted for sitting out front. It was crowded back there, missing the vibe of the front space and loud. Keep in mind, like a lot of places in Vegas, this place isn't cheap but the food was yum.

With familiar hip-hop tunes blasting at full volume, a bodega-inspired store in the front to greet diners, and a Korean and Mexican-inspired menu featuring the chef's signature dishes, the thought and creativity that was put into creating an atmosphere true to Roy Choi's Angeleno's roots felt perfectly encapsulated. We were lucky to grab seats at the counter upon walking in. Service was attentive and friendly, and we were greeted with menus right when we sat down. Our order consisted of the following: - Uni Dynamite Rice (4/5): Salmon roe, sriracha, yuzu, sesame / The oceanic, umami flavors went perfectly with the fresh pieces of briny uni and salmon roe, which provided a crunchy, popping boba-like texture. However, the rice served underneath was a tad bit too overcooked and mushy. - Kogi Short Rib Tacos (5/5): Korean BBQ, salsa roja, cilantro-onion-lime chili soy slaw / While it's been years since I've had Roy Choi's signature kogi taco, it still hits the same. If you know, you know.- Slippery Shrimp (4/5): Crispy rock shrimp, chili mayo, walnuts / The shrimp had a nice, crispy texture, and the chili mayo was tasty, but the small size of the shrimp made the dish just a tad bit too saucy. It's still lip-smacking, though! Remember the cocktail menu, which is worth a gander. The Something Sweet & Juicy cocktail and the Watermelon cocktail were both deliciously sweet and refreshing.

Hip, trendy, live music, and delicious food - what more can you ask for! My group of 4 had a reservation at 8pm on Friday, and we called ahead to let them know we'd be running a bit late because our flight got delayed. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait for our table and got seated right away. We had just come from the airport and had all our luggage with us, and they did let us know they had a spot we could put it away, just that it wouldn't be in our line of sight. We started off with drinks, and I ordered the Watermelon cocktail, which was refreshing. We ordered family-style and got the BBQ platter, street corn, 2 orders of galbi tacos (3 each), tostada, and kimchi carbonara. The pre-dinner bread was a plate of freshly baked milk rolls, which was so fluffy and piping hot. Every item we ordered was a hit and all the ingredients were so fresh! My group (being Korean) really enjoyed that the marinades on the meats were authentic Korean flavors and not a straight fusion mix. The meats were tender and went well with all the other ingredients. The kimchi carbonara felt more like a mac and cheese, which I guess a carbonara is technically butter and cheese. My favorite dish of the night was the tostada - sooooooo fresh with huge and juicy shrimp, topped with pico de gallo, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime. The food portions are also huge! With the 4 of us, we barely made dent in the kimchi carbonara, and I felt they gave us a lot for the price. I enjoyed my visit here, and I'd definitely return to try some other items, especially the tostada! Please keep that on the menu forever!!

Best Friend is, unfortunately, not a restaurant I'd visit again. While the drinks were solid, the food was a big miss. Since I dined with a group of six, I had the chance to try a wide variety of dishes. The meal actually started off really strong. The table bread that was brought over was warm, deliciously soft milk bread with delicate pieces of flaked salt on top. The cocktail I ordered -- Old Friend, was a nice riff on a classic Old Fashioned: stiff, but well-balanced, served over a perfectly cut large block of clear ice.Food-wise, the highlight of the meal was the slippery shrimp. However, instead of the large, plump shrimp you'd typically find in honey walnut shrimp, they used tiny rock shrimp--about half the size of an average thumb. The next somewhat passable dish was the uni fried rice. It came in a stainless steel pan with a nice crust on top, likely from being broiled in a salamander. The uni was creamy but lacked sweetness and didn't complement the dish. It felt like an unnecessary luxury add-on, similar to when restaurants offer caviar just to upcharge diners. The BBQ platter was a disaster. Every protein was severely overcooked and dry. The garlic chicken, in particular, was especially bad--it had the texture of poorly cooked chicken breast, despite being made with thigh meat. Honestly, every protein on this platter is 10 times better at your average Korean BBQ spot.We also got two platters of the Kogi short rib tacos so everyone could have their own, but the short rib pieces were cut way too small--about a quarter the size of a dice--and as dry as shoe rubber. The banchan sampler was equally disappointing. It had multiple types of kimchi but very little variety overall. Crowd favorites like fish cakes and candied potatoes were nowhere to be found. If you're looking for a nice spot to dine out with friends with good food, Best Friend is an easy pass. I would recommend booking a reservation elsewhere.

We've been here twice, once with a large group or friends and again just last night for Valentine's Day- both with very memorable and delicious experiences! First, I'm all about the Vibe. We love how the front of the restaurant has that chill, supermarket/diner feel from the merch, to the seating, to the check in counter, and the restaurant has a bar/club/homey feel with the different seating arrangements, rugs on the floor, etc. The music also got me, with some new and old school throughout the restaurant. Nostalgia sets in with the atmosphere, menu, food and drink, and servers! Love the open concept kitchen that you can see them making dishes at if you sat towards the back end. Service was good- our server was down to answer some questions and gave us time to look over the menu. Loved how they all were decked out in red or black track suits, while back of house had on some denim type tops. The food (and drinks) was SO good: a heads up that We were told that the food comes out as soon as it's done and is meant for sharing, which is perfect for us. Being pregnant, I got a frosé mocktail, which was a bit too sweet for me, but lasted me the entire dinner and then some. Loved that it came in a cup resmbljng a red solo cup! My husband got a cucumber drink cocktail first, then a mangocart michelada, which he said were both really good! We wanted to pick and choose on the menu, but everything looked and sounded so good that we decided on the chefs menu at $75 each! It was a LOT of food for the two of us, but so delicious- I'm glad we got it all! Food cont: -the Kalbi was the most tender piece of kalbi meat we ever had. We devoured and finished it completely. It was the highlight of our night! -slippery shrimp had such a good light crunch with that spicy sweet coating of sauce that was one of my favs! -garlic chicken was so flavorful and well cooked! -kimchi fried rice is a staple and they did it justice by cooking it in a pot to give it those crispy edges! -Kogi tacos had the right amount of heat and meat with the kimchi slaw and meat pieces! -banchan was good to snack on while eating throughout the courses-the bread was so freakin good, hot, buttery, melted in my mouth, I wish I had more lol -the desserts OMG I loved the date cake AND the strawberry shortie. We got to try both and I'm definitely a fan! They both came with sides of mousse and either an ice cream or sorbet to help with sweetness. Will def be back for those two also! Overall, I'm a fan of this place. The vibes and the food always make it a good time. Would love to go again!!! Some things to note: -they do allow kids, which I saw at some tables. As long as you're cool with the song choices, you'll be fine :) -They also have their own restrooms, but it's only two restroom stalls (all genders). So there may be some waiting if there's a line. You can always go out to the casino as well, but I was lucky! Sorry, no baby changing stations inside if you brought a baby.

Loving the ambiance as soon as you walk in--it feels like a lively night market with lots of neon lights, giving it a super fun and vibrant vibe.We came as a party of 8 and opted for the chef's family-style menu ($75 per person). One of our friends has dietary restrictions, and the staff was incredibly accommodating, which we really appreciated!Standout Dishes: * Lumpia - Classic and done right! Perfectly crispy on the outside, packed with flavor on the inside. Honestly, it was so good that I didn't even need the sauce. * Slippery Shrimp - can't choose between this and the garlic chicken. Tossed in a chili mayo sauce that had great flavor, not spicy at all. The shrimp stayed super crunchy--not soggy at all yummmmmy. *. Garlic Chicken - A must-have! The garlic aroma was spot on, but the crunch? Next level. Every bite had the perfect crispiness while still being juicy inside. So good! * Boy Boy Platter - A solid mix of different meats, all well-cooked and flavorful. While it was good, it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes for me.Overall, a fantastic spot for a fun night out with friends! Great food, cool atmosphere, and excellent service. Definitely recommend checking it out with lots of Best friends!

*TIP: those with sensitive stomachs probably shouldn't dine here The restaurant itself has a pretty cool interior design inside. The first room looks like a small market and the main dining room is much larger with a bar on one side. This is fusion but I get a strange vibe from this place. It feels like fake, overpriced korean food that is passed off to trick people. The flavors seem off to me. If the food was amazing, I would't have an issue playing a premium but it'snot there. Not only is the banchan lackluster, a sampler is $18! This can't sit well with anyone that knows anything about korean food, where banchan is usually $0 lol. The Uni Dynamite Rice Bowl was ok. It was disappointing visually because it's small but considered an entree. The flavors seem off as well... like the sauce drowns out the uni. Flavor imbalance seems to be a reoccurring thing here. SERVICE: it feels chaotic and unorganized. I had a reservation and I waited in line to check in. After checking in, I waited off to the side and watched as people checking in after me were given tables. Staff finally checked back with me after a long wait and then we were taken to bar seating. This was annoying since bar seating is fcfs and I could've just claimed the same seats on my own WITHOUT a reservation and WITHOUT waiting. Once I was seated at the bar, service was good there.

I heard this was a can't miss and it was in our famous hotel resort anyway, so we booked it and it was a true gem. The front entry is a cartoon like store display and counters, but the main dining room was a hidden space with artistic decor. The Asian inspired fusion menu was a foodie delight. I had to get the fried chicken, served for sharing, but I killed alone. It was amazing! String recommendation!
