As one of the hidden spots to find we had to make our way here. What a beautiful place and so much larger than we ever expected from the other places we'd discovered. We stopped just to check it out and grab a drink. It was beautiful and I wouldn't mind coming back to try some of the food. If it's half as good as our drinks were then I'd be happy. We tried two espresso drinks and then may have just become two of my all time favorites. I would hands down come back just for them. Our waitress/bartender was so friendly. She chatted with us, sharedLocal experiences qnd spots and made sure our water glasses were full the whole time we were there. Do give this place a try.

Little French dips- wasn't my thing, was juicy but didn't enjoy the flavor. My friends enjoyed it quite a bit. I enjoyed the meatballs- loved the sauce they came with Empanadas were a hit The desserts were top notch, drinks were good, service and ambience was great. They have a veggie menu (not just vegan) so make sure to ask for that.

Summary: Cool hidden, speakeasy vibe. Grilled cheese dumplings, Mac 'n cheese, kale salad, and empañadas were very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Prices are high, but welcome to the strip. My wife got reservations for a party of four on Friday evening during a recent visit. I had never been, so walking into the entry way (no spoilers) to then transition into the much larger dining room space was really cool. We were quickly seated and introduced to our two servers, then given a rundown of how all items are shareable with the option to add additional elements to any dish to match the number of folks at the table. Pretty clever. One of our friends ordered The Woodsman, but requested a different whiskey in place of the smokier bourbon that comes stock (definitely savory/creamy and different). My wife got a lemon drop, another friend got the ODB (surprisingly citrusy), and I settled on the Malbec after trying that and the Pinot Noir.We compiled our list of desirables and came to the following list of selections:Tomato soup with grilled cheese dumplings: wonton soup spoons filled with a rich, savory tomato broth and a small morsel of cheese toasted dumpling. It's a single "sip-bite" item, but very tasty. Six spoons in the course.Empañadas: cheese and smoky with a little kick. Not as moist as I have had elsewhere, but good.Street corn dumplings: if you like eloté, it's a tasty interpretation. To me, the item was just so-so, but others seemed more excited by the creaminess of the various ingredients contrasting with the firmness of the corn. The dumplings were a little overcooked to me.Kale and apple salad: refreshing, light, but tasty. Well balanced textures and not overly dressed, but certainly not lacking flavor. All in all, it was a fun speakeasy dining experience. Definitely hopping and energetic.

Think I found my go to in Vegas. This speakeasy concept is located inside the Cosmopolitan, behind a 'pawn shop'. It took us about an hour to get a table which was great since we didn't have a reservation and it was packed. The vibe was perfect - I'm not sure who selects the playlist but it was hit after hit and made conversing enjoyable. The dimly lit interior gives intimate happy hour and although we were seated at the back of the restaurant - you couldn't tell. Each dining space was welcoming and vibrant. Our server was very helpful with assisting us to select some items. We didn't know the menu was tapas style so we ordered several dishes to share along with a Ring of Fire & a round of zero proof Espresso Martinis. The Espressos were watered down - they stated because the absence of espresso liquor but after looking at the menu - it was only grey goose (which doesn't have an espresso sku) so it shouldn't have made that much of a difference. The dishes themselves changed it around. We ordered brown butter scallops, gochujang salmon, yellowtail crudo, truffle mac & cheese, grilled asparagus, thai style shrimp and beef wellington. My fav was the scallops and salmon, the beef Wellington was a first - it was like a shepherds pie. Each dish had its own unique flavoring but left us all satisfied. After having sub par food all week, this establishment gave me some hope. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to Vegas.

Beautiful atmosphere and amazing service. Jeffrey was on top of everything. The food was really good. A few friends did not like the beef Wellington. Commentary was that it was too rare and too much fat chunks. Personally never had it as I don't eat red meat. They did take them off the bill. My husband and I had the lox salmon tartare, onion rings and the Mexican street corn ravioli. All were really good. Definitely recommend this spot. Will be going back to try other food opti

The service was great! We came on Christmas Eve and it was not too busy. The indoor decorations are gorgeous. We ordered most of their popular items. This is how I would rate the items I got. The grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Dumpling I would give it a 3/5. It is good but it honestly reminds me of a college meal I would make. Nothing special about the tomato soup or grilled cheese. Just very average. Next we ordered the 18 oz Dry Aged Bone-In NY medium rare. It was ok. I would rate it a 3.5. The meat itself was pretty bland but still well cooked. I was not a fan of the sauces that came with the steak. The red pepper chimichurri was not good. It was slightly bitter and not extremely flavorful. The other sauce was their signature sauce but I could taste much behind the smokiness of it. The next one we had was the lobster truffle Mac and cheese. It was good but I'm not a fan of the texture of the noodles. I understand this noodle was chosen to make it more saucy but I was not a fan of the holes. Overall the flavor was pretty good though. For this I give it a 4/5 stars. I also got the Thai styled deep fried shrimp. I would give this a 5. The green papaya coleslaw was great and cut the grease from the deep fried shrimp. The shrimp itself was saucy, perfectly crispy, and well seasoned. I would 100% get again. And then I got the Chile Relleno Empanadas. I would give this 4/5 stars. I think this was pretty good, my only issue was it came out lukewarm/cold. I can imagine this being really good if it was hot. Finally for my last dish and my favorite of the night, the Gochujang Salmon. It was PERFECTLY cooked. Extremely sauces with the perfect garnishes. I am not usually a fan of black rice but it paired perfectly with the salmon. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Overall it was a great experience with an amazing atmosphere and good food. The music is not too loud and the servers were great. I would definitely recommend!

5 Stars!Beauty & Essex is such a cool and unique dining experience--you enter through a pawn shop, which sets the vibe for a fun night! We ordered family-style, and every dish was a hit. The kale salad was outstanding, so fresh and flavorful. The chicken meatballs were perfectly tender, the steak was seasoned to perfection, and the huge crunch shrimp lived up to their name--crispy and delicious. The atmosphere is stylish, the service was great, and the prices were fair given the quality and setting. Can't wait to come back!

Beauty & Essex in the Gorgeous Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas delivers an extraordinary dining experience! From the moment you step inside, the seemingly pawn shop, turns into a speakeasy-inspired lounge/restaurant. The service is attentive and the decor is upscale. We thoroughly enjoyed the: The Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup Dumplings that were a true masterpiece! Each spoonful bursts with creamy tomato soup perfectly complimented by the crispy, golden exterior of the grilled cheese. YUM!!! The Thai Style Deep-Fried Shrimp that are lightly battered and fried to perfection and served with a tangy Thai sauce. The Grilled Double-Cut Lamb Chop which is an absolute showstopper! Cooked medium-rare, the tender meat boasts a smoky char that enhances its rich flavor. Beauty & Essex doesn't just serve food and drinks--it creates a multi-sensory dining adventure. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable dinner in Las Vegas. Las Vegas
