Nothing bad to say about this place at all so I felt like I had to come to review in its defense. --Okay, so I am still confused on how/ why they're running as two separate businesses in one room under THREE different names (I can review the restaurants separately)? You can somehow review Che and Yo Mochi and Bambu.Anyway, I came to pick up an order and Jean and the other girl there were very kind to me when I came in even though I came preeetty late. I've only had the donuts, mochi and malasadas (can't remember what they're called rn, sorry if it's something different!) and I've been there a handful of times. No drinks for us. Maybe it's because I've only been there at a peak hour once, Saturday at noon-ish, but it wasn't a painfully busy wait as others mentioned. My son and I were there and it's a fun ambience, he recognized and was surprised with some of the artists on the wall! I will tell you the machines are distracting af so either be ready to fork over some money for your kids to play or fight and deny them while you're there.I was there to pick up a full box for a party and of course half the people were confused while the other half realized what was in there and scrambled to grab one before they disappeared. So good, a hit with every single person. They were forced to share because I underestimated the amount of people there.Needless to say, I'm pretty glad that this location popped up and I happened across it on another app. I haven't had these things in idk how long and I have literally avoided Chinatown hard since the first time I've been there so who knows if I ever would have discovered it otherwise. Maybe an update after I try out Che but glad I'm not missing out and I'll remember this place for guests I have going forward!

It's great to have a new Bambu location closer to the South side of Las Vegas! The menu is exactly like the Chinatown location (minus the waffles and desserts since it shares a shop with a donuts and desserts spot) I got the Avocado Smoothie and it definitely satisfied my craving. The service was pretty standard and the space was a bit loud, but they were playing some good music and it fit the vibe of the eclectic and colorful aesthetic. There are also claw machines in the shop with some cool prizes and cute plushies.

My love for bambu started many years ago at their first location in China town. I always got the fruit lovers dessert drink, and it was the perfrct balance of sweetness and and textures, while being super refreshing. There was almost no parking though and the interior was nothing exciting and then they moved to another location in china town. You could tell they were trying to have more an instagramable sit down vibe. More feminine touches, and they even had a cold case with house made food items and packaged snacks by the counter. The drinks started to run sweeter though, so I would have to request half sweetness. Then it seemed the drinks started tasting like whatever scented cleaning products they used. I finally realized it was the jackfruit in the drink, maybe they were cutting it on boards that had been permeated with the smelly soaps they wash it with. I was bummed and stopped going. Fast forward to me grabbing food on the south side of town near where I live and seeing this new bambu location. I was excited that maybe this would be done better. Upon entering I saw that it was both a bambu and a mochi donut shop. It had a more masculine millenial energy. Simpson inspired pop art, old school arcade games, claw machines, and limited sitting desigend more for waiting for your order. The vibe was more action than lounging. It also did not smell like stinky cleaning products! I was feeling hopeful. I ordered the bambu favorite as I thought maybe I should try something different, my mom got the taro drink. She asked for half sweet at first as normally the other spot ran sweet. This women often gets quarter sweet at many spots. She got the drink and it wasnt sweet at all. So she asked if they could add some sweetness. I thought it tasted better when they did that, but still not amazing. The owner was the one ringing us up and he also gave us a sample of the creme brule mochi donuts, it was super yummy. Although I probably will try the waffel next time as those are not deep fried like the donut. My drink came out and was not very sweet being a normal sweetness, and as I was driving my hand was itching and I kept smelling something weird. I realized the cup smelled kind of like baby powder deoderant. Especially near the lid. It had gotten on my hands too. I called to let them know and the owner said they wound make me a new drink. Well I couldnt make it that day, then my baby got sick, followed by me getting sick. My guy was near the place getting me food and I asked if he could grab me my replacement drink. I decided the best way to compare would be to request my normal fruit lovers order. I made sure it was full sweetness, and also asked if they could replace the logan with taro. Well this drink had zero sweetness. I dont even understand how that was the case with the jellies and fruit. I normally feel like a good dessert is good because its not to sweet, but this was just blah. The coconut base had a weird after taste, not refreshing at all. It also had zero taro in it. I tried to salvage it by making my own coconut sugar syrup to sweeten it, adding lychee jelly I had in the fridge, and coconut water.I was torn on how to rate this spot honestly. Partly because its basically two establishments in one. I think they are better at executing their mochi donut side, but the drinks need major quality control, while the vibe of the place has promise. I believe the business pages are separated though so this rating is based on the bambu side. I hope that maybe they figure out why their drinks are not tasting at all like what bambu has the potential to taste like. They used to be a favorite spot of mine, and Id love to be a regular.
