The showroom for Awakening is amazing and probably one of the best in Las Vegas. Every seat is a good seat. If you are thinking of the show to be like Le Reve, that was there before, it is not. There is no swimming pool in the middle of the showroom, so there are no water acts. The stage lighting and audio were excellent. The choreography and illusions were also very entertaining and spot on. The only part that fell short was the story line. Definitely read the program before the show to completely understand what is going on. As a side note some guests do not know how to be quiet during the show. The people behind us talked and ate loudly all the way through it which was annoying. This is not the show's fault, but some people are just rude and need to get some manners.

I've been to quite a few shows in Vegas. Fell asleep in Ka, laughed hysterically in Absinthe, and was in awe at O. This show falls somewhere in the middle. The highlights are the high-tech stage, the dancing, and the visuals. There were moments I was truly blown away with the visuals. The story line was unique, but at least it was easy to keep track compared to other shows. I'd definitely say it was worth it and we enjoyed our time. There really are no bad seats. We sat second row to the top and they were great!

Awakening is the original Las Vegas production, currently playing in the theater-in-the-round at Wynn Las Vegas. It had a mix of aerial acrobatics, fire stunts, puppetry, and magical illusions to tell the story of Io, a young woman chosen to find a way to save the world from Darkness. Sixty performers are needed to tell the story. It was enjoyable to watch, with the heightened visuals being the primary reason to maintain rapt attention. The original production opened in late 2022. as Las Vegas started to awake from the Covid shutdown. It was later shut down in early 2023, for a re-awakening in mid 2023 with the addition of more aerial acts (similar to a Cirque show). This probably meant a further de-emphasis on story telling, which seemed like was a never strong point (told many different ways in video games or tv shows like Horizon Forbidden West or Avatar - the Last Airbender). After a few moments, the story and plot became secondary to just watching the show as the visual spectacle that it was. As normal, pictures and video are not allowed during the performance. Free glossy programs were provided in the lobby, and let us know who the performers were...and ended up as nice souvenirs. The Wynn theater really is a great place to watch a show, with great theater type seats surrounding the stage from all sides. Each seat has stereo speakers mounted near your ears to provide distinct sound effects, which the production took advantage of. My favorite part of the story was when Io visited the water world, and the introduction included the use of aerial puppets and visuals that made it seem like the audience had all gone deep beneath the sea. That was neat.

Maybe Awakenings is not everyone's cup of tea. I'd say that it was pretty good and enjoyable for a Las Vegas show. Big light show, big music, big entertainment and spectacle. As other people have said, there really isn't a bad seat in this place. We were kinda up high and didn't have any issues. Tips:We bought tickets directly from their website months ahead for the show. The arena was about 80% full for the first show of the night. I'll go out on a limb and say walking up and buying a ticket the day of might save you some money. When we were there we saw tickets for the same show about 30% less at discount brokers than what we paid in advance.

Awakening at The Wynn: A Must-See Spectacle Awakening at The Wynn is nothing short of amazing! The show captivates from start to finish, with incredible use of stage design and lighting that creates a truly immersive experience. The visuals are stunning, with vibrant colors and dynamic effects that perfectly complement the performance. One of the standout aspects is the theater itself. The setup ensures excellent views from every seat, making it feel intimate yet grand. The location at The Wynn is so convenient, adding to the overall luxury and ease of the experience. The other people in our group have also raved about the show's perfect length--long enough to be fulfilling but short enough to keep you engaged throughout. The storytelling is captivating, and the performers bring an extraordinary level of talent and energy to the stage. If you're looking for a world-class show in Las Vegas, Awakening at The Wynn is a top recommendation. It's a dazzling blend of artistry, technology, and entertainment that leaves audiences in awe. Don't miss it!

The stage for Awakening is absolutely incredible, easily one of the most impressive I've seen in Vegas. The costumes were also breathtaking, but unfortunately, the show didn't quite live up to the visuals. Despite being choreographed by pop star choreographers, the performances felt disjointed, and the lack of a standout cast left it missing that elusive X factor. Without famous stage actors or acrobatic performers, it felt like something was holding the show back from being truly extraordinary. While I enjoyed some of the pop choreography, the running scenes became repetitive and tiring. I kept hoping for more acrobatics or circus-style performances to tie the show together, but instead, the story felt a bit flat, with music that didn't quite match the tone. For a production that clearly invests so much in its visuals, why not bring in better music, stronger actors, or high-profile talent? Awakening has potential, but it needs a more cohesive vision to become truly memorable.

We always enjoy going to the wind and the encore to see all of the beautiful decorations. This time we decided to go see their new show, the Awakening. We got some of the less expensive seats because there really is not a bad seat at this venue. The show is easy to follow, the costumes are great, dancing is good and the actors really know how to play their part. It is one of those shows that keeps your attention throughout and I liked the surprises that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Very enjoyable!

I've been to a couple of shows not a lot, my friend who came a month before me suggested that if we did one show this time around make sure it was Awakening. I was a bit hesitant because our tastes are not the same but thankfully I listened, we decided to choose seats near the top because I wanted to see the full spectrum of the stage and to be honest I think sitting up top is the way to go. The show itself was amazing the visuals the costumes the music they were all mind boggling to me. The storyline was easy to follow along with but I think just the effects alone would wow most people.Even though we've seen this show I'd probably go again because I feel like you'd be able to notice different little details each time you go.

In looking at the reviews for this show on Yelp, there are actually more 1 star reviews than there are 4 star. We were really excited to come here after seeing the ads and previews for Awakening. We've seen every touring Cirque du Soleil show that's come to our city for the past several years and have seen all the Cirque offerings in Vegas aside from Mad Apple. I've seen Ka 4 times and O twice and I'd gladly sit through either of those again. What a disappointment Awakening was in comparison! Granted, the technology is amazing with the lighting, lasers, moving stage and some of the props, and all that gets nearly a 10 out of 10 from me. However, as other reviewers have stated, the story line is weak and not always easy to follow. The 2 guys who were supposed to be comic relief weren't really featured much. There was really only 1 performance "act" in the show and it was brief, and the moments where they tried to use magic and effects to generate audience reaction and applause really fell flat. There were a few times one could tell by the build up in the music and actions of the cast that they were expecting a big applause, and instead there was just a smattering. One of the featured "tricks" during the show was supposed to be a quick change. Problem is that during the lead up, a few cast members accidentally revealed how the trick was being done when they were adjusting it, so when the "change" happened, no one in the audience was surprised or thrilled in any way. The saddest part was once this show had ended, and not a single audience member stood when applauding. Not one. In fact, so few people realized the show was over because the music kept playing, that after several moments ushers had to come down front and let the audience know that the show had concluded and it was time to make their way to the exits. That's something I've never experienced at any other show or performance I've attended. Ever.Speaking of ushers - when we arrived, the usher for our area made it a point to tell arriving patrons that photos without flash and very brief videos were allowed - but then every 5 or 10 minutes, basically throughout the entire show, he walked up and down the aisles, shining and flickering his flashlight at people, distracting all the other patrons seated nearby, as he asked them to stop taking long videos - only short clips. If that's the case, they should just stop allowing video altogether if the ushers constantly need to shine their flashlights at people throughout the show to police it. It was very distracting to say the least. Save your money for another show or entertainment offering. You're in Vegas and there are lots of them - most all of them better than Awakening.

The shop was a lot of fun with multiple levels. Combination of musical, love story, magic show, acrobatics and puppetry all rolled into one with a light show. The stage is in the round as is the theater and they say no bad seats. We have seen them all and this one is fun. Only complaint we bought our tickets through Vegas.com and the show was not even 1/3 full but we were all on the same row packed in.
