So thankful the M is trying to give us good entertainment in Henderson. They have live entertainment multiple nights a week and it is free. Buy drinks and tip the staff. They deserve it. Keep this local gem poppin.

I came here with a friend to check out the "Dueling Pianos" show, and while it was pretty abysmal, the Amp'd Lounge was nice. On the night we visited, it was VERY popular with older folks (I'm no spring chicken myself, but I am talking well over 75). I'm not sure if it was the entertainment on offer that night or what, but it kinda felt like a retirement home. The piano show was bad. I'm sorry, it was just really, really mediocre. The two men couldn't sing, and I would not go back here unless they had different entertainment. Our show ticket came with a free drink, and the cocktail menu was quite appealing. Since I was driving, I had a diet soda and it tasted really bad: moldy and light on the syrup. I was surprised at the high prices on the drinks too, especially for a casino and event that catered to locals. Expect to pay $11 - $20 per drink, before tax and tip. The Amp'd Lounge has a nifty retro setting with bright lights and comfy seating, and it's a good venue for a show. Skip the dueling pianos, though.

Located on the casino floor at The M Resort, we came on a Thursday for a "dueling pianos" show (which was more "duo" than "duel" but still fun). On a weeknight, it was definitely a hit with the older crowd. :) There is plenty of seating if you get in before the show starts, but it became standing room only as the night progressed. You can reserve a booth ahead of time but we did not & were still able to find a table for two that was somewhat intimate, about 15 minutes before the piano players got on stage. The drinks are fairly priced for a Vegas venue, and the server was pretty reliable, if not the most enthusiastic. Overall, a very enjoyable date night.

M Resort has done a great job bringing in these incredible entertainers. AMP'D Lounge is a very open and inviting venue. You can dress up or go casual and fit right in. We're so happy that Chris & James Show went from every Thursdays for one month to every Thursdays through the end of the year. Hope that'll continue in 2024. After going almost every week, it's more crowded and lively during the first hour and a half, then after their break (8:30 ish), a lot of people leave and there's much more room to sit. Once, we showed up 15 minutes early and for whatever reasons, management wouldn't let anyone find a table and sit. They made us all wait at the bar. Don't bother showing up early to get a good seat. We also went to see Spazmatics. This is our second time and they were fun and energetic. Wish they didn't start the show 45 minutes late one night, then take breaks every half hour though. My main complaint is management again...all the tables are reserved for people who'll spend $75. If you don't want to spend that much on drinks, then you can sit on the sofas on the far end of the room or sit at the bar. All of that is fine IF you needed to save tables for customers who are willing to spend that much. Turns out, more than 80% of the tables were EMPTY that night! Meanwhile, people are standing in the bar with nowhere to sit or standing on the dance floor with their drinks in hand. Makes no sense. How about reserve SOME tables and not all of them OR have people reserve them AHEAD OF TIME so you can leave the rest on a first come first serve basis? The room looked RIDICULOUS with all these empty tables! We also checked out Latin Breeze. Very lively band. Lots of people were there the night we went. All the tables/seats were filled and the dance floor was packed when we went between 9-10pm. Other suggestions, AMP'D could dim the lights a little and add some disco lights. Dancing there feels like dancing at a wedding or a school gym. Lights are cheap and would help a lot! Also, the bartender should go easy on the ice. My plastic drink cup was filled to the top with ice. I had 2 sips of my drink and it was gone! I ordered a drink, not ICE! As a local who visits M Resort a couple times a week, I hope you take my recommendations and make these minor changes. I only removed one star, but will gladly update to 5 if these things improve.
