This place was delish! The hotdog was amazing, the bun was amazing, and the elote ON TOP of them was amazing! The macaroni and cheese and bacon?? Perfect cheese and not dry It was busy (usually a good sign) but the wait was worth it. Their pricing is fair and if you pay cash it's a flat rate. The ambiance of a food truck is the ambiance of a food truck - otherwise you're in a brick and mortar location. I'll be back to try the buffalo chicken dog.

Best hot dog ever! The Texas toast the dog is wrapped in is SO wonderful! Crunchy outside and soft inside with the unique toppings and home made French fries!!! SO good! I would eat here everyday if I could!

Well, at least it's not the omega.Alpha Dawg is a hot dog food trailer that frequently finds its way to Las Vegas breweries. They seem to be on the schedule every week at Tenaya Creek Brewery and they picked up the trivia night slot at Beer District this Thursday night. Hot dogs and fries do seem like the perfect way to soak up some suds, after all, right?Alas, I'd very recently heard a friend's negative opinion after his dinner from that truck, so I was wary from the outset. But I ended up really needing some food right then and there, so I walked to the truck and ended up choosing their whiteboard special, their Adobo Dog with french fries ($8). After not too long a wait, an employee walked into the building and presented me with a small paper tray with my order carefully stuffed inside.Just to be clear, the utility of a hot dog wrapped in a toasted slice of bread and topped with adobo chicken along with an order of greasy fries is indeed incredible when you are in the middle of a big beer session, so I appreciated that greatly. And yes, the hot dog was juicy, while the chicken was nicely marinated. But their flavor balance really needs some work. The cilantro and green onion just doesn't do enough to cut the considerable saltiness of the proteins. They really needed an atchara or other pickled vegetable, or at least some sort of sauce/condiment (no, ketchup doesn't count), to add sweetness and acidity.Oh, and the fries were completely devoid of any sort of crunch despite being brown and coming out hot from the fryer. That's not great. Plus, some fries still had residual grease, which is usually a turn-off if you're not in a depraved food mindset.Alpha Dawg is fine as a captive-audience food service, but it's not something to seek out and track down. They are not the worst hot dog truck in town, but they aren't too far off.(P.S. Bring cash. They were nice enough to mention the card surcharge.)

I love that they have a vegetarian dog and you can sub it out for any of the animal based dogs on the menu. They had no issue with me removing ingredients to make my dog completely vegetarian. I had the mac n cheese dog without bacon. This is where I deducted a star because it was not cheesey at all. The pasta was kinda dry which made the dog overall dry. I was expecting like goopey gooey cheeseyness. I will definitely give them a try again and hopefully get the elote dog next time.

First time trying this food truck... I was tired of cooking and wanted something delicious but also supporting local business during this crazy time! This is definitely the best hotdog I've ever had. I ordered the Big Dog. It was so good and filling. I think the price is reasonable for what you get! I was full after one dog! But it was so delicious I had to stop myself from driving back to order another! Highly recommended!

Thank goodness the food trucks are still in full force during this cootie apocalypse of 2020. Alpha Dawg to the rescue. First time here and I got a bacon wrapped elote dawg. It was awesome. Others complained about the price, but I never been to a food truck that had pricing like a brick and mortar location. Kinda a given and I'm ok with that. Great friendly service. I'll definitely catch upstairs the. Again.

So I'm not big into hotdogs, but my work has one food truck show up every day day and this is one that comes every week. They were the only ones there that day. Their menu is a nice size. It's not huge but it's not small either. So I decided to try an elote dog because I've seen other places having elote dogs and always craved them like crazy even though I've never tried it. The Elote dog is sooo delicious!!! The first time I got it, it was close to them leaving so they were out of the normal buns they use for this dog, but it was still really good. I got it again a few days ago with the normal buns and it was still realllly good if not better!!! I definitely recommend them and definitely recommend the elote dog!

Tried them last night at Tenaya Creek Brewery. The hot dog was really delicious and came with an unexpected side of French fries. Price was ok as it was $19 for two dogs but the care and flavor made it worth it to me. I would say give them a try when the near you and won't disappoint.

Sooo yummy! I love the dirty dawg fries Elote style and the Elote dog is delicious too. The brioche buns the dogs come on are so rich and delicious. Much better than regular hot dog buns. I'm looking forward to trying the bacon/Mac n cheese dog next!
