This place doesn't need another good review, it's gonna be successful for years to come. The flavors are what sets this place apart from any other restaurant in the arts district. Each meal I've had over the past few months is an artful display of distinct, and unexpected combinations. The chicken and waffles brunch is excellent! Real chicken thighs in a brown and crispy batter, with a hint of spice. Served hot out of the fryer with a side of baby waffles drenched in blueberries and melted butter. Damn! I'm stuffed and I'm still thinking about it! The pastries are on another level of greatness. Baked to perfection, each pastry is made with care, and the flavors always compliments the texture. You will not be disappointed!

5 Stars and counting! This restaurant has everything you want and more. From the classy, modern, warm environment to their absolutely delicious menu, this place is perfect for a date night, meeting up with friends, and more. And by more, I mean, they seamlessly double as a full fledged bakery and coffee shop by day!We enjoyed the service (our server, Adam, was a delight) and it doesn't hurt to have a super cool location in the burgeoning foodie scene on Main Street! Some of my favorite dishes, besides the "out of this world" bread selection, were the salt and pepper shrimp, the crab cake is to die for, the calamari, and the lasagna. Being a pescatarian/vegetarian I can't really comment on the meat portion of the menu, but I can only imagine how scrumptious it is. Run don't walk to experience this culinary lovers haven.Bravo 1228!

Ambiance: this place is nice & casual. I liked that they had a separate casual area where people could get drinks at the bar separate from the restaurant. Service: we had dinner during a weekday right when they opened so service was fast. Server was friendly & knowledgeable. Food: my boyfriend tried their cheese lasagna and absolutely loved it! they used a spinach lasagna too. it was super tasty & liked his dish over mine lol I got the brisket with grits and cornbread. The brisket was so tender and delicious. Grits felt a little undercooked - it was just okay. Cornbread was also really good - i wish it had a little more honey on it or more on the side. Their chocolate cake was also super good but rich. Their drinks were also great!

Ambiance is casual and aesthetic, similar to a warm cozy feeling. The service is very attentive and friendly. The pastries, French omelet with potatoes was delicious. However, I was disappointed with my wagyu smash burger. In my opinion it was overcooked and dry. Everything else was delicious and I will definitely be back.

What a cute place! The vibe is trendy and open. They have some amazing house made breads there for sale, so before you leave you'll have to hit that up. Service was great. Very helpful, since it was our first time there. We went a little late in the morning so they were closing up breakfast. I wanted to try the Quiche but it was out so I ventured to something I've never tried....corned beef hash. Um....YES PLEASE! It was amazing. It was salty but in a good way. So flavorful. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and so were my eggs. My husband got their classic breakfast. Potatoes, bacon and eggs but he loved every bite. Their breakfast potatoes are really really yummy. We will for sure go back. Mondays are their short days so they are only open for Breakfast and lunch. All other days looked like they were open till atleast 9pm. Their bar area is beautiful so we are gonna want to hit that up one night for sure. Well, that's what was happening in my mouth, now you go and try and tell us what was happening in yours!

Yum! Good stuff. We came in yesterday, just for the desserts! We also picked up a loaf of the walnut cranberry bread, so amazing! We've been here to eat dinner and hang out a few times before and the service is always excellent but this time we were in the area and we stopped in for some desserts. We were craving the cheesecake and telling our group about it as we were eating at another restaurant in the area. After we ate we just walked over and took the vacant table near the bakery area at the front of the restaurant and the service staff were very accommodating. We ordered some delicious coffee and had our dessert. The restaurant is always clean and a good place to hold a conversation. We like this place and I think you would too.

What a gem located in the Arts District. Service was absolutely great and I forgot both of the girls names. Very attentive and personable. Food:Creme Brulee Croissant Mortadella Panino - Foccacia Bread with basil pinenut pesto, buratta cheese and mixed greens. Smoked Bacon BLTGlass of Prosecco The creme brulee was ok for me, I did like the flakey Croissant. BLT was also delicious. The tomatoes were delicious. And my favorite was the Mortadella. I loved the flavor of this meat. It went well with the Foccacia Bread. The only negative I saw which is why I didn't give 5 Stars. I saw a worker with gloves on scratch her nose, grabbed her cell phone from her pocket then started touching the food that she was preparing. I was like yikes. They need to be more careful. Overall, still great spot to dine at.

We were the last table and only table at the restaurant besides one couple at the bar. Being the only ones on the restaurant floor we had amazing service and the restaurant was very intimate. We ordered the steak tartare, calamari, bread basket with brie and butter, chicken pot pie, and the spaghetti. Everything was amazing except for the chicken pot pie, which was less to be desired - very watery consistency, over-salted crust, and hardly enough chicken. The servers gave us an array of breads and pastries before we left, which was a nice touch. My favorite of the pastries was the oatmeal cookie. Looking forward to coming back.

Previously a novelty store 1228 MAIN is the culmination of a journey that began as a Bread stand at the Downtown Summerlin Farmer's Market, David Robins, Dustin Lewandowski and Sébastien Polycarpe bringing their collective talents to the Arts District with impressive results.A partnership with Wolfgang Puck, Robins having opened five of the Chef's projects over the past three decades, it is upon entry that guests will note a Barista stand and two glass cases including one filled to the top with Pastries from the hands of men previously employed by Savoy and Robuchon.Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with Puck having moved his Bread production for all of Las Vegas to the expansive kitchen, it is from the counter or at a table that orders are placed for everything from well-priced Coffee to more costly Soups, Salads, Sandwiches and Cakes.Surrounded by paid parking, buzzy Bars and shops, though 1228's Wine and Spirits shouldn't be overlooked, daytime should begin for most with one (or all) of Sébastien's exceptional Viennoiserie, the Butter Croissant flaky around a delicate center while Pain au Chocolat, Creme Brulee Croissant and Pan Suisse follow the same formula adding sweetness through Chocolate, Custard or both.Serious about their craft but not afraid to get creative, a Lemon Curd Cruffin standing out with assertive Citrus while Fruit Danishes are faultless, fans of something more rustic should look to a thick Oatmeal Cookie, Sugar-shellacked Pop Tart or loaves such as Cherry Walnut.

Have been a few times, both for lunch and dinner. Staff is always great! You can't beat the location if you're downtown. And it's Perfect for a lunch date. Everytime I go I have to order the burger. It's honestly so delicious, super filling, and just solid. I really enjoy the fried goat cheese salad as well. And that's saying something from someone who is usually ehh about goat cheese.
