Helen's Hot Chicken

I really like Nashville hot chicken and someone recommended I try Helen's I'm so I gave it a shot for lunch yesterday.The hot sandwich was more like a medium (not unbearable at all) the chicken itself was good but the sandwich was kind of a mess. The cheese wasn't melted, and the bread kind of fell apart eating it.It's a better value and option than a chic-fil-a sandwich at a similar price point.It just wasn't better than the sandwich I had at prince's or HB's.Glad I tried it, but it's my least favorite of the three by a pretty wide margin.

I ordered through Yelp and they took the money from my account, but I get to the store and although the sun says open, it is closed at 4 PM. I need a refund.

First time at this location. (AMBIANCE) Walk in look at the menu on the wall and decide if you want chicken or fish. They have an music box playing r&b music. 2 bathrooms but only the men's bathroom is available. Paper towel machine don't work and it smells awful. (SERVICE) On this particular day the cashier (Rokeya) is not on her best day. She's coming across as though she don't want to be here and that Customers are getting on her last nerve. Since I been here she's argued with 2 customers about their orders! FOOD Chicken is on the salty side. Gizzards weren't cooked long enough and my leg quarter was tough. The baked beans and Cole slaw were so-so. The cook could use some lessons.I rarely if ever give a unsatisfied review but this was not worth $35 bucks.

They suck Do not recommend this place at ALLLLLLL!!! They charged me for a catfish sandwich only gave me 1 price of fish but charged normal price and told me when they have enough they give two!!!!! I will continued to go to Jefferson street PERIOD

Food was adequate but speed & service was terrible. Food was 40 min late, very little communication about the order. Clearly they were having a bad night but they never followed up after I gave feedback afterwards. Do not recommend!

Don't recommend. I was craving some hot chicken so I did an online order through whatever service they use online. I'm pregnant so I really wanted hot chicken. I pull up to the establishment to just find out its closed. It's 6:45pm. Money was taken out, online said restaurant was working on it. And its effin closed. Waste of time.

The place was about as ghetto as it gets, but the food slaps. The hot catfish is great

never answers the phone, trying to place an order and refusing to answer, very unprofessional and rude.

***I don't feel like typing it all out twice, so this is the Google review that I posted as well.***DON'T DO IT.On July 2, I went at around 2pm to get something to eat and the young lady at the register yelled back if they were still serving four times and the man cooking abruptly said "no". When I asked her what time they usually close, she said "7pm, but we're gonna close early because of the holiday..." Umm...moving on.So, I decided to give them another chance today. It will be the very last one. I have been to this "establishment", off and on, over the years and although the customer service is far from professional, they are usually polite. THIS TIME?It took 10 minutes for someone to even come from the back. The young man was nice enough but the soda and ice machine didn't work, it KEPT taking them FOREVER to come from the back even though they were loud and cracking jokes while we were waiting and when my food came out, it was wrong. *le sigh* And that same young lady came out saying, "They pissing me off" talking about her classes. UNPROFESSIONAL.Here's the clincher, though. One of the things that I ordered was a chicken wings combo. When I asked for some blue cheese dressing, the young lady said, "It'll be a dollar." Me: "Wait. I need to pay a dollar for a combo that comes with no dressing?"Her: "Mmm-hmm."Me: "Nevermind."Right behind me was a woman who had waited over 15 minutes for the soda machine. She too was frustrated: "I should get what I paid for." Indeed.I walk out and then decided to go back to throw something away and I hear the same young lady in the back saying, "This bitch talking about, 'She's got to pay for dressing and then said nevermind'."She's too young and silly to even go back and address it directly. But I will let all of Nashville know that something may taste good and it's still worth it to take a HARD PASS because NO ONE should pay for that kind of ridiculousness. Disrespectful. Unprofessional. And childish. They're also pretty flippant about all three.I can find some good chicken elsewhere. AND WILL.
