I highly DO NOT recommend this place if you would like to be disrespected by the manager. The manager is a male & I'm not sure if his name is Ray or Juan. Recently, the service has been not great. Today, was the worst. My family & I would come here all the time & now we won't be coming back. I tried calling beforehand to let them know that there will be 16 of us coming in & that was requested on their website that we do call in beforehand so they are prepared. However, when I called, a woman answered & when I said "I just wanted to let you know that 16 of us will be..." she hung up the phone. The waitress who was servicing us was not listening to our orders & gave us the wrong drinks. She looked like she did not want to serve our big group when we are paying customers and been here multiple times before. After we tried correcting her, she still said that we did order it, when we in fact did not. She proceeded to bring the correct drinks, but when we got the check, the wrong drinks were on our check & we let her know. She then brought her manager in the conversation & let us know that we did order those, when he was not the one taking our order, so how would he know. He also said "I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to her" to one of my family members. The manager was very disrespectful & should not be a manager if that's the way he treats his customers. The waitress should not be in customer service as well, her demeanor & service was not nice.

4/10/24 - I always hit this place when I'm down this way. I love their fish tacos! Also, they started to add the avocado to it instead of asking for an up charge cost to it. The removed it sometime back. This place is back to 100% for me again. I ordered 4 fish tacos. Very filling for 2-3 tacos per person. I was hungry and had four!!!!!see photos.

Upon entering there was a beautiful fish tank that I admired and a few people sitting at table. I waited about 3-4 minutes before someone approached me and the restaurant was not full or crowded. This was my first time trying this place so I asked for a menu because I was ordering to go. A lady handed me a menu then she walked off. I had a few questions so I stood there and finally a man came and asked if I was ready to order. I asked him what kind of fish was used on the fish tacos and if the same toppings were on the crab tacos. He had to go ask sometime in the back which was fine. I ordered my food Togo. I waited about 15 minutes and the man handed me my bag. When I got home and opened the container I was horribly disappointed. The corn shells were dried out and overcooked on the grill, the fish was shredded with some tomato paste on it as far as the crab tacos I don't even know if it was crab it was mixed in with tomato paste as well. The food looked NOTHING like the pictures on their menu. The Spanish rice was plain sticky white rice with pieces of corn in it. The refried beans were good. I won't be returning here.

Went back to Hector's Mariscos after 2 years. I was here on a Friday afternoon with a party of four. Dining area has not changed but it was clean and organized. We were greeted by a smiling host and waitress. After getting seated, we were immediately served a basket of warm tortilla chips and delicious and tasty side of fresh salsa. We ordered the fried calamari and half dozen oysters as appetizers. The calamari was fresh and it was a well served amount that came with a side or tartar sauce. The oysters were also fresh and delicious! Prior to getting our entrees served, we were served a delicious "consome" (cup of seafood broth). Our main dishes consisted of Shrimp Enchiladas, a "parrillada" (surf n turf) with a New York steak and battered shrimp, a plate of grilled shrimp and a large Coctel "campechano" which consisted of shrimp, oysters, octopus and scallops. The enchiladas were stuffed and full of flavor. The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium which is how we ordered it. With the exception of the cocktail, the other three dishes were served with rice and refried beans and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. The only thing that we noticed were the shrimp, both battered and grilled were somewhat under seasoned. After this visit I have to say that I will be back and would recommend this place to anyone looking for some Mexican Seafood with the option to dine in.

Ceviche was good. I had the Hector's taco combo and wasn't disappointed. If you ever crave seafood hit this spot up! Service was good, food came out pretty quick. The place could use an update here and there but for the most part we came for the food and accomplished it! Stay hungry and keep eating!

I used to go for cocina de mariscos to Tijuana, to have a delicious meal. Now with the time you spend crossing the border, the sky high prices in Tijuana, I'm very happy this is my favorite spot not too far from home! Dishes are so delicious, my husband always order the 7 mares stew and I order my favorite dish of shrimp, delicious food, price is great and the location is great! We are very happy with this place

I've been to this restaurant on several occasions. The first time, my wife ordered a "pescado zarandeado" which came with rice and beans. To our surprise, the beans tasted like "Fabuloso". When we mentioned the problem to the waitress, she told us that another table had complained about the same issue. Another issue I noticed was the appearance of the place: the hallway leading to the restrooms appeared to be used as storage (paint, boxes, cleaning supplies, etc..), the bathrooms were filthy and also being used as storage. I can't blame anyone but myself for giving this business several opportunities. My friend had warned me of his experience at the one on Broadway, but I didn't listen. I am definitely not going back.
