Heaven Sent Fried Chicken

My other half ordered catfish. He said the Food was definitely hot and fresh. Ordered 4 pc catfish strips with hot sauce and can coke cola. This is no longer a dine in restaurant. It's carry out only . The pop machine does not work and you have to order a soda from the cashier either can or bottle. It's not very clean inside has slight stale odor. If you happen to be looking for fried catfish is would be a choice. Overall ok. Nothing over the top.

Let me start off with a comparison and how we came about trying Heaven Sent Fried Chicken. I've been to Ezell's Chicken in Lynnwood several times and it was Okay. Not good enough to give it a great review and not bad enough to warn people about, so when we wanted some chicken from the north-end of Seattle Heaven Sent Fried Chicken came up. There is some kind of relationship between Ezell's and Heaven Sent. I'm not sure what this relationship is, but I was hoping that the eating experience would be similar. Oh-Man! Was I wrong. I ordered the chicken livers (Large), a cornbread muffin, and a side of the potato salad. Everything was uneatable. The chicken livers were burnt completely through, void of any moisture at all. The batter was completely falling off the meat. The large consisted of maybe 5 livers. Hard to say because it was difficult to identify anything that was chicken or burnt clumps of batter. The cornbread muffin was hard and dry and the potato salad should be renamed to mashed potato salad as it was just cold mashed potatoes. The bright side is that we can remove this restaurant off of the consideration list reducing our choices to only good and better food providers.

Did an in-person order, and everything was ready fairly quickly! I got a spicy thigh and leg, as well as a roll and side of mac and cheese.The mac and cheese was above average, but nothing I'd write home about or pay extra for. The fried chicken was perfection - although it's advertised as "spicy", I'd say for me it was mildly and well-spiced. Flavorful, juicy on the inside, perfectly crispy and crackly on the outside that brought back memories of the South/NC where I'm from. Solid place, although a bit out of the way. Certainly a place to try if you want to find very good fried chicken in the Seattle area.

A solid three stars. Okay, if you like heavily breaded crispy chicken. Didn't have much flavor. Very bland. I doctored it up with some Two Angry Cats hot sauce mixed with a little honey. We are hosting an event and want to include fried chicken in the food offerings, so we have been testing in the area. So far a local Chinese restaurant and a grocery chain are beating out all the fried chicken specialty restaurants on flavor. Sadly HSFC didn't come close to hitting the mark for us, but wish them well nonetheless.

This review is a long time coming. The food here is amazing. The chicken is certainly better than the competition, even superior to the competitor that uses the namesake of the Heaven Sent owner. The competitor is limp, more soggy, less flavorful. This chicken is juicy and fresh. We always get the strips for the boys and they are plentiful. Try the collards! It's all so good! The sides are also delicious. The highlight though? Carol. She is perhaps the best customer focused employee I've met. She knows my name and my order after just one visit and then greets me like family .every. dang. time. I honestly don't do takeout frequently enough for her to know this and don't live close. I also don't remember my order so she reminds me . She's exceptional.

I've heard a million and one good things about this place. I love some fried chicken so why not, right?LOCATION & PARKING //It's on Lake City Way (near 145th) next to a Starbucks. It's hard to miss with its bright yellow and red exterior signs. It does have its own private lot so parking is not an issue here. The inside is quite small so you may have to sit at the few tables outside or just take it to go. FOOD //I got the three piece meal that comes with a piece of bread. It included two spicy thighs and a drumstick. It was sooooo basic and good! Everything is affordable and to the point. It was juicy, textured perfectly, and flavorful. SERVICE //I can't say much because I just ordered and got it to-go due to COVID 19. I assume the service here is good though but I don't want to say much on it.OVERALL // 4.5 starsDefinitely worth the hype! Will come back.

Tried calling multiple times to order ahead so we could make chicken and waffles at home but no one picked up, so I wasn't sure if they were open (the website said they should be though). Tried going in person the other day and happy to report that they were open! Got 3 spicy breasts and 3 original. Since the original breasts were small, they threw in an extra one which was nice. Overall, the sizing of the breasts were pretty small for what I was expecting. Especially for $3.30 each. My fiancé liked the spicy breasts and said they had good flavor and were juicy, but my original breasts weren't doing anything for me. They weren't terrible, but compared to how hyped up I was for this, it was a let down.

I've been here 2 times. Both times the gluten free chicken was excellent. One time the service was not good, one time it was, thus the 4 star instead of 5. Imo 5 stars would be excellent service and quality consistently.

My order was wrong the employees were not professional I pre ordered 2 hours ahead of time and still had to wait for 20 minutes. You have serious employee issues in lake city. I spent 105.00 and the entire order was shit. I will not be back.

We used to buy our chicken from this place, but NO MORE! We moved away and came to visit relatives. We were so hungry for Heaven Sent chicken! We were beyond disappointed!! Our chicken, gizzards & okra was SO OVERCOOKED! Almost burnt! Never Never again!! We wasted over $40 to just throw it into the trash! So,So disappointing!
