Food was delicious, service was amazing and the ambiance was wonderful! Love this restaurant!

First walking into the restaurant I had to walk through the "saloon", it's kind of confusing because it looks like maybe they are closing the "cafe" part and only having the bar. I actually asked them if they are closing, because it was empty except for one table- rather, not a table, but a 1957 Chevy-shaped booth (for the kids, I guess?) where a family was very quietly eating. The whole place had a feeling of being abandoned... and it was the lunch hour, around 1 to 2 pm. We (my sister and I) sat down and I immediately noticed an odor I have not smelled in quite some time- the smell of filth, of cockroaches and old cooking grease (believe me- once you've smelled that, you will not forget it). My food- not exaggerating, took 30 min PLUS to get and it was an ordinary cheeseburger and fries! Oh the fries.. was I transported back in time to the early 90s when every restaurant used frozen french fries? Every thing on the plate screamed "old, tired, obsolete" . Pro tip- GOOD cafes and restaurants use FRESH potatoes for their fries. Get with the program guys! Your cafe is Stuck in the 80s, and people are NOT Lovin' It. The staff acted very tired, lazy and just putting their shifts in, counting the hours til they can clock out. TO sum it all up: strong odor of cockroach, and old grease/filth, food that would be acceptable in a 1990s Denny's in rural Oklahoma. Staff that couldn't give a rat's ass about the customer. Oh and the coffee STANK! and was cold!! what the heck???

Our local go-to in the "Creek. Josh's Eggs Benedict with the cheese queso is fantastic. Val is our favorite server. He is utterly fantastic. Never bad meal here prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this wonderful establishment.

Best pancake in Arizona!!!!! Love love LOVE this restaurant. Great food, friendly staff, good service, etc.Ignore the bad reviews, those people were clearly not in a same state of mind when they were here/wrote the review.

If there was a ZERO star option here? this placed would of earned it for the second time. 29 Dec. 2023 we went to eat breakfast here. after I told my sister that my wife and I usually go to First Watch or IHOP on Happy valley instead of the awful place!!! despite we literally that we live across the street and could walk there in 5 minutes!!!When we got there, there was maybe 7 to 9 people in there. and there was ONLY one waitress ONE manager who was helping and 2 bus boys and of course who ever is cooking in the back.Our order took over 45 minutes to get and when we did get our food. the order was WRONG!! and the pancakes were under cooked to the point the middle was almost near runny and my eggs I wanted to be easy over and they were fried. The manager did apologize and discounted the bill and after all was said and done. we all walked out (3 of us) and I looked at my company and said......"Now you know why me and my wife have only been here once since they opened" Despite different owners and blah blah blah this place has always and will always be a 100% total disaster!!!!! the food was awful and the service was a TOTAL joke! Do yourself a favor! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! This was the second time I have ever been here since the day they have opened which is probably over 10 years! and there WILL BE NO THRID TIME!!!!! THEY SUCK ON EVER LEVELBTW I. Worked at the T-Bone steak house and Eddy was the ONLY waitress who worked from Monday till Wednesday and she would not only run circles around the one waitress who was here! But the whole staff who was here! And eddy was 81 years old!!!!!!!!!!! I'M NOT TRYING TO BE MEAN! BUT THE 4 OUT FRONT WERE WORTHLESS!!!!

Amazing breakfast tamales. Kudos to the chef. Great bloody Mary's. Serving staff amazing. Have been eating here for breakfast for over 8 years

If you're looking for some home cooked food with lots of LOVE infused Heart and Soul is the answer. The staff is extremely friendly and has a great vibe. Courtney was my server and an absolute doll!

This is my first time ordering food to go from this restaurant. All I can say is wow but in a very bad way. Look at my attached picture and you will understand why. I ordered the Salmon Fillet with veggie medley. To my surprised when I opened my to go box, I saw a salmon fillet and a few strands of skinny asparagus!!! All this for $18!!!! The salmon fillet weighed a mere 4.5oz! Would my plate have looked better at the restaurant? Maybe. But I know the restaurant was banging on customers not opening their box til they get home and this is what happened in this case. No one would drive back and complain and that's how they get away with it. This will be my first and last time getting food from this restaurant. What a rip off!!! There are better restaurants out there so save your money and go elsewhere.

H&S is my favorite breakfast cafe in Cave Creek. The food is great and the servers are friendly, helpful and just plain wonderful. In addition the Hot Smokin Keys Saloon section is an evening's western surprise. Try it once and you will return.

Avoid Heart and Soul. Everything about it is utterly miserable. Food was disgusting. Carbs were stale and condiments were long,long out of date--so much so that they were black. Food was inedible and it went straight into the trash. There was no ambiance unless you consider truck stop men's rest rooms to have an ambiance. Not so much a restaurant as a bar selling cheap beer to a handful of bar flys. Place had not been dusted in forever. You could have rewritten "War and Peace" given the quantity of dust on virtually every surface. The place also smelled.Service was ok, but the place was clearly understaffed.Bottom line--Run, don't walk away from this joint.
