A hole in a wall kind of place! But probably the best food in town.I never had Malaysian cuisine so I knew either i would never come back or this could be my go to place for the some awesome meal. Chef was brilliant in curating the curries (lamb curry was dope) and my fav was the mango dishService was quick. Where the person taking our orders was able to talk on the recipes. Hell ya definitely coming back!

I wanted to love this place as I've heard so many good things, but I did not. Perhaps I ordered the wrong things as friends had raved about other dishes. Nyonya Kuih: Must try & and hits the spot. It's difficult to find anywhere else. Beef Chinese Pancake: This is a solid pass. Oily & not very tasty. Fried rice: Not tasty & too oily. No wok hey. So I ordered this as it was BOGO free on Ubereats, and I love fried rice.

In the area so we tried something different. We ordered a couple plates Mongolian chicken, sweet and sour chicken, sesame beef, sesame chicken, orange chicken, shrimp fried rice,egg rolls and curry puffs. The pork egg rolls is different from what I'm used to eating but they were very delicious and I enjoyed them with hot sauce and sweet and sour. The curry puffs were tasty and not over killed with curry. The beef curry puff was the best. The sesame chicken and beef were okay. They sauce was too much and it over killed the flavor. The orange chicken was okay but same thing very over flavored and it kills the taste all you get is orange powerful flavor. Now the sweet and sour was different but very delicious I enjoyed it and it was one of my favorites. The Mongolian chicken the best one I had. This dish was amazing and recommend it to anyone who eats here. The shrimp fried rice was different. They use large shrimp and toss in five to six large shrimp and the rice is a different style but it was good. They only have two tables inside one for four people and one for six people. The owner grabs water from sink and then puts it in his filtered jug. Once you are down half way there's something in the cup that looks like someone backwashed,it was very disgusting and don't know what it is.

I ordered a to go from HD Cuisine for lunch. Place is definitely small with only a few chairs inside and outside. The person taking my order was friendly and I believe he was also the one cooking my meal. I didn't have to wait long for my food. I got the Penang char koay teow with beef since it was suggest one of the most popular dish there. Yummy and flavorful. This place is definitely a hidden gem.

Amazing food!!! Very high quality and flavorful food!!! Staff was super friendly and helpful with a large carry out order today! Definitely one of the best Malaysian, Asian fusion, Chinese restaurants that I've tried!!

I'm going to go ahead and give this place a 5 star review based on my single visit. I was going to wait until I've ordered here a few times to give a more comprehensive review of their dishes, but I'm going to guess that it's going to be all 5 stars anyway.I ordered an unusual choice I suppose, which was Malaysian style stir fried okra. I also had the crab meat egg drop soup. Everything was superb! "Tiny" doesn't begin to describe the interior. Plan on getting your food to go. When I was in there, the couple of tables were filled by a families with young children. I could sense that they were regulars here. It somehow endeared me more to this place, even after squeezing by, and around them to pay my bill and collect my food. The kind owner lady apologized for the small quarters, but at the same time, you could tell she was proud of her little spot here, and she's confident about the food she serves here.They offer a lot of authentic (based on Yelp reviewers more familiar with this cuisine) and inventive sounding choices. Although it's a35 minute drive for me, I absolutely will be back!

Located in a strip mall off Dundee, this hole-in-the-wall has delicious Malaysian cuisine. I loved the Nasi Lemak (national dish with blue rice, egg, cucumber and chicken) and found that the Haianese Chicken with rice was very tasty. The blue rice is made from butterfly pea flower. My order was really easy to place and it was ready and warm for pick up. There's not a lot of dining space but many people I saw picked up carry out orders. The portions are generously sized and I'm excited to try other dishes on the menu. Service was friendly. Will return again.

HD cuisine is a family owned hole in the wall Malaysian restaurant in Wheeling. One of the few Malaysian restaurants on the area, I was really excited to try this place. The interior is small with not much seating area, however the service is very friendly. Our waiter explained each of the dishes and was very thoughtful. The nasi lemak was amazing and great value. I wasn't a huge fan of the Murtabak or the Ayam Masak Merah, which is why I gave them 4 stars. The Ayam Masak Merah had an overpowering tomato-ey taste and tasted a little artificial, as if it had too much paste in it. Would not recommend that dish. Other than that, would definitely recommend trying this place out!

More recently over the past year or two the food quality and taste has declined and is inconsistent. The shrimp that came with the noodles were soggy, and had the wrong texture (was mushy). And noodles with gravy was lacking sufficient gravy so the plate is basically full of just soggy bloated noodles. When feedback was provided on the shrimp they provided excuses instead. I was told the shrimps were frozen so they don't know how it will be. You would never get this response from a high quality restaurant. Please also check condiments that should come with your food. For example I ordered the hainanese chicken to go. When I arrived home I realized the the dark color sauce (one of three sauces) was missing which was important part of the meal.
